For yesterday,
A mild and sunny start, bit of tidying and putting away in the garden ahead of bad weather forecasted.
Started the tedious task of removing last summer’s thunder bugs / thrips from the inside of various picture frames, been meaning to do it for months and pleasure will be when it’s done. The consequences of living next to a field.
Over to the yard as girlie was due a farrier visit, it was actually his apprentice that did the work, under close supervision of course, and he was a bit slower but good. My mare did her usual trick of kissing the top of his head as he filed her front feet.
Home late and small dog let me know she hadn’t had her lunch yet!
The weather come over so hunkered down for the afternoon & evening.11 -
Oh bovver, & has fund her spooky!
Fish in white sauce? No, has too bee home maid parsley only!
Bit blowy in Suffuk? (That was hard to putt in!)
MHags yous needs to do a power off on reset on the eyepatch!
Money from ...Now Watt!
Style doings mes cheque with the boutique against the discount surplus store, this weak its was £40.86 against £69.75 and the celery that went limp inn free days from the boutique, now goes from the previous FryDay to a weak on Monday! Oh that spare celery ended into the china curry! Oh I has faggots for the weakened.
Has sum viewing yesterday on the hutch. Moor soon!
Watched another flix last nite on the down streamer. Larry Crowne very good, does not knews how I messed it previously! Cheeses were taken, with some fired chicken nuggets.
Has the crackle pop for brakefest this morn inn ice cold milk and a mug of tee. Very good to start!
Nows withs me mug of tea and lime cake of Jaffa!
Jen does her
And I is outta of here!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!9 -
Hello everyone

Have decided that this year is going to be about de-cluttering so am on that thread mostly.
Want to thank you for how lovely you have been and hope to be back later in the year.

Big hugs to bala I remember I was absent a whole month this time last year due to feeling down, silly cos this is the best group in the world and it is absolutely fine if no pleasures can be found – we’re all here for you xxx
1) Tuesday was in the deanery again, though spent most of day in online meetings. however the first lovely was having 2 hours midday away from the computer - spent first 80 minutes walking meeting with colleague who lives close to the hospital - we also met another colleague on our stroll
2) then lunch with another colleague (rest of the veggie chilli for me)
3) after work she gave me a lift home and we had a great catch-up
4) vestry so was uber late for the match with dr m and mr g
5) walked home with dr m, always an mse pleasure even if 'just good friends'
and for yesterday, back working at home, another dreadful day of meetings with urgent jobs to be shoe-horned in between
1) yummy brie and cranberry sauce toastie
2) signing off a phd student's minor corrections - now off to the internal so fingers crossed - and managed to move a difficult piece of work forward
3) pasta, leek, mushrooms, red pepper, nuts (left over from those brought round by gbf for w/e rugby) and yoghurt (should have been the other half of the tub of creme fraiche but it had grown a fur coat oops, first food thrown out for a very long time but still annoying) made for yesterday's supper so this was a reheat - just as well as worked till 8 which meant
4) slightly late for 8pm KO - Dr M and Mr G sitting in the front parlour, fire and footie on (Liverpool game), lights off cos lights tripping. Very good match
5) then got us a table in the back parlour where the lights were working - as always a lovely chat then walk home with Dr M. He'll text me if he's in for the Leicester game tonight - I said if so I vote we stay just for the match and catch the bus home (I need an early night!)

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep, though the wind picked up a lot just before 7 and woke me up.
2) Hens OK and I took them some warm porridge.
3) Went to the football club shop to pick up our commemorative mugs from the FA cup run! Smaller son was chuffed with them.
4) Popped to Sainsburys for a cup of tea.
5) Tidying up continued with some bits put to one side for the charity shops. Smaller son's computer components arrived in the post (again, they were faulty last time) so we did some shifting round of spare parts that live under the stairs.
6) A calm day today but terrible things forecast for tomorrow. The flood defences went up in floody town today. Both neighbours' fences have sections blown down from last night.
7) In bed with one hot water bottle and will catch up with Secret Body on iplayer. It is just a programme about people getting fit and losing weight but has more charm than that precis might suggest.
Nearly forgot 8) A tribute to Barry Cryer was on radio 4 at 6.30.11 -
& is at rugby Club, as big meetings wind down after 2nd training night.
Unreal, 2 more top team opponents have bailed ahead of Saturday.🤬
So much fallout to be managed, financial and stock losses limited as best as can be.
1. In consequence, so much preview rewriting necessary. Done here, in order to keep up with 7 more changes and latest ideas for Women’s Week.
2. Retrieved some necessary ££s, very welcome.
3. Not a pleasure, but a good thing. Vl will understand. All our teams are retiring the 11 jersey this weekend. Gesture, yes, but fellowship too. RIP, Jack Jeffery.
4. Fence still up.
5. Amazing moon last night, still there tonight but ominously veiled in thick still mist.

1) a fabulous night's sleep - felt very refreshed
2) got my washing on and, due to 1st meeting finishing 20 minutes early, got it out on the line and my kitchen swept, then opened lots of windows
3) 3:30 a 90 minute break, colleague picked me up and we went for a run in Camperdown Park - super
4) catch-up with the boss online - I do feel a lot of things are coming together at work with some super exciting possibilities
5) Dr M texted to say he'd not be watching Leicester in the pub so I stayed home to watch it - fab match - he says he'll book Sunday for the Wolves matchMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good morning. Still calm here. Hoping it stays that way for a while. DD flies to Tenerife this morning!
Admiral - funnily enough, when I made the white sauce I spotted the parsley growing on the windowsill so I chopped some up and put it in. I was Admiral's Rules compliant without even realising it!
Lainey - we have those little flies too. Called harvest flies here and they really do get where water cant! They're a pest!
Bala - lovely to see you. Please pop in now and again so we know you're still ok
Well, yesterday was a long day! But DH is back home , patched up and ready to fight another day - though perhaps not for a little while.
I was looked after throughout the day with lots of calls and texts, and my neighbour came for coffee and a chat to try to take my mind off worrying. I am very lucky.
DH is sleeping now so I'll tiptoe around for a while.
I do hope everyone stays safe in the storm.
Happy Friday everyone10 -
Thank you for the heads up re the Barry Cryer tribute Frith, will download.
Glad all went well with OH’s operation HappyCas and hope he recovers well.
For yesterday,
Into horsey town for dental check up and clean, only thing ouchy was the bill!
Then onto emporium for a few bits and chat with favourite lady, she is on a retirement countdown.
Another chat, this time with elderly friend and arrangements made for a visit next week.
Over to see pony, thought we would go for something different and try a bit of Parelli groundwork, she looked at me as if to say Mum are you sure? which made me giggle.
Last walk with small dog and we picked up the blue bin from the bottom of road, the moon was rising from behind the trees, magical.9 -
Hope your husband makes a good recovery Happycas and you don’t have to tiptoe round for too long.Well yesterday was a day most quiet ( by choice) just felt I needed a day of not going anywhere.
The excellent company of my dog ( from 5am when he decided he needed to vomit, honestly that dog!) all day.A patch of brightness meant I hung out my bedding . Mostly dry when it came in. And bed remade and always nice to slip into a clean bed.Made dinner for three. But ate mine first as the beau was running late ( though he did send apologies to DD2’s mum!) more freezer using up. Sausages ( mine had the last of hamper onion marmalade) leftover baked potatoes roasted and the now decreasing mountain of parsnips ( will be sad to see them go as I love parsnips) made a carrot and frozen turnip mash, with peas, broccoli and cauliflower.10
