Oh hello from the cottage by the sea! Home for the next few days for me and my doggy!Drove here all by myself! I hate driving and was very stressed but did it! ( as I knew I would and could)
cottage is so beautiful and so well equipped! Every single detail has been considered.Stunning sunset.Five years ago today I was in Tasmania with my lovely husband and as we drove from bayside to bayside it seems apt that I’m at the sea this week. Slightly cooler of course but making new memories.Looking forward to having a bath later! Just showers at home.14 -

1 I placed an order for bits that arrived faster than expected great, but one of the items is not what I ordered so I phoned them and said I would be happy if they replaced, and they could pick it up at the same time. They said no but refunded me what I ordered, and they aren’t picking up what was given by mistake, so in effect it’s free, it will make a lovely gift, but we can’t eat it.
2 A Christmas portion of turkey is turned into a curry and rice for tonight’s food, there’s not quite enough meat so as it cooked it shredded and looks like more now, has the usual veg to pad itnout.
3 We had a big batch of pancake mix about ahem 4 years out of date, rather than throw we have melted lard, added grated peanuts and scooped it in, and made-up bird balls and logs currently chilling in the fridge – hope they eat them???
4 Enjoying watching the final series of Fringe.

Hope you enjoy your break by the sea Mhags.
For yesterday,
Driving the back way home from horsey town and a buzzard flew across the road in front of me, beautiful bird.
Treated myself to some tulips.
Made a loaf and did some tidying up type chores.
Over with pony, very cold and no intention of work so just gave her a good groom and left her snuggled up in her rug.
Won an auction on well known site, had set a budget for much searched for item but in the end it went for the starting bid amount.12 -
Good morning
Very grey and cold here.
Mhagster - enjoy your seaside break. As a fellow reluctant driver, I think you're very brave.
Slept really badly last night, even by my standards, so will be taking it very easy today. DH is going to meet a friend this morning so I can laze about without feeling guilty.
Meat loaf for tea so that's nice and easy. Going to do it in the slow cooker cos I can't justify putting the oven on for one meat loaf. ( and I'm now going to be singing Paradise by the Dashboard Light all day - well, the few verses I know)
Hidden Assets gets more convoluted each episode. Only one more to go and I think I still know what's happening.
Happy grey day everyone

Art'noon all - lovely cake DD, well done mhags i remember your tasmania trip well.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Made a start - ish on the marking.
2. went for a walk with a friend and had a very cold picnic.
3. DS being so much more upbeat
4. Sister in law came unexpectedly - she ended up having dinner and spending the night. LoL - ing at her son on the phone when she asked if he'd be ok if she stayed - only concerned about how he was going to get dinner!
5. OH finished the necessary painting in DD's house.
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
Nothing!
Turnips!
Tulips!
Kedgeree.
Turkey!
Meat Loaf, not the singer!
And a splash of paint!I'll take it from here!
Managed to get one over the Albatross with a pocket money job! Please consider her needs as she now has a chill!
Had second on the roast chicken last nite, with the sausage wrapped in bacon!, stuffing, broccoli and pan gravy! Always we has the chicken with jam! Kitty was excited to get the skins and bits!
Chopped up the remains to make today's curry. Discount surplus store has the korma sauce in, and it says it is vegan. By five tonight, it will not be so!
Timed the Albatross on her weigh to work and she had penalties at the traffic lights (five minutes added!) and then a fumble at the gate. My record remains good!
Then off to the discount surplus store for provisions. When I used the boutique store, the celery went limp in four days! I has just put into the 10 day old into the pot, and it still has not gone limpish! Savings this year by not going to the boutique is running at £109, about 46% moor expensive! And they has not gets the proper crumpets either. Checked the Kitty xmas treats, now reduced again by a £1 to £2.99 we weight a bit longer!
Was inn the beached ready gym this morning as the Albatross has a chill; it is looking good! Got it?
Well I has the buzzard curry to do!
Jen does another buzz
Keep safe!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!11
