Slept like a little log last night!Quick doggy walks first thing. Then we went to a bay for a wander. Had to drive in my car again…and of course did not know where I was going but managed and managed back again! The driving anxiety is silly but very real!Saw a seal this afternoon! Was truly thrilled.Messaged an old colleague of OH, they’d worked on the island opposite many, many years ago. Sent him a photo of the ferry going over. He’d recently sent me photos from their work many, many years ago.A couple of little doggy walks. As the sun was setting and reflected in the sea.Burns Day. I don’t like haggis so had mince and tatties! And the last of the Christmas sprouts and corn in the cob and broccoli.13

I've never seen a seal, MHags, though there was one up here in the river Severn a few years ago.
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son went to college and enjoyed it.
3) Blood sugar diet continues. Tasty lunch and tea then I made crisps from kale. A bit strange but quite moreish.
4) House is tidy.
5) Listened to our football team on the radio, which was exciting because the ball hit the hoarding at the back, taking the commentator's hat off! There was a yell then a second of silence. Won again, so now 4th in the league. 2 more matches before the next FA cup match...
6) Will watch Holby City in a minute.12 -
We went on a seal trip on our honeymoon in north norfolk frith
1) friend out of house arrest so we went for a dog walk mid-day - she is also a work colleague so we talked a bit about work
2) am eating frogs (see Mark Twain) while working my way through a list of requiems courtesy of wiki and youtube. Today washttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hkkyMHbyK4.
3) haggis neeps and tatties for tea - haggis was actually haggis meat balls, Simon Howie, courtesy of Tesco ys and put in freezer till last night - they were lish. planned left overs for tomorrow's lunch will have no meat balls 🤣
4) then down to the pub - although i was a bit late i was first out of the bunch, then Mr E who first introduced me to Mennies then Mr G the retired Geography teacher and, just as i'd resigned myself, Dr M himself. He sat next to me and we watched the football. front parlour the musicians were in fine form (Tuesday night is folk music night)
5) nice chats, Dr M walked me home, he said he'll see me tomorrow. didn't pluck up the nerve to mention west side story. sigh. but we're getting on fine. oh but he's cute. and he was following the Luton game too (sorry about Grimsby admiral)

Our favourite dog walking beach at Winterton often has seals swimming in the sea, visitors from the nearby colony at Horsey. For yesterday,
Off to Uni City for a haircut, good chat and a cup of tea, I’ve been going to my chap for so many years it’s like visiting a friend.
It was a very cold and grey day so the pleasure of a big bowl of veggie soup when I got home.
Over to see my girlie, no work but plenty of fuss, cuddles and carrots.
Finding a secondhand copy of a book have been searching for.
Tea was macaroni cheese and green veg. Then we listened to the footie, exciting stuff as it went to penalties but we lost and are out of the pizza trophy.11 -
Best plaice for seals, you could go with the herd to Donna Nook in late November, butt them inn the knew will be a bit further up!
Requiem. Thats gets me song list going to the Stranglers! It is now explicit according to the AI media player these days, yet mum had to ask my Uncle when I saw them aged 15 and I got a clout for it! Never told her I saw the Pistols as well!
Meatballs! Farcebuck has still blocked fiend for mentioning another name for them balls, F4GG0T5!
Mac and Cheese, Proper Food!Inn too the Circle!
Had the chicken curry last evening with special egg fried rice and bits! Used the rice from the discount surplus store and could not find where that twitter had bought hers for so much either. has beens were also only 39 pennies! Still the media has paraded her around and then ejected her out for the next one to appear! It is coming up top forty years since the ... More soon!
The Admiral, not intentionally watched media induced news since 1982-05-03 21:33Z. It was a Monday!
All is not well at the Theatre of Fish! The boreds are going to thermal meltdown this day! Woobleades were needed and cheeses taken!
On Monday I had finished off my honey monster, so toady I had the golden flakes of corn in ice cold milk, with a mug of tea as well!
Now sat watching the bash with me mug of tee, and sour grapes.
A buzz from Jen.
Keep Safe!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!11 -
OH’s Lincolnshire rusty team are causing him much stress Admiral!
Cottage by the sea, my idea of heaven MHags 😊
Great cake DD and Dr M does seem to be getting keen 😘
I don’t feel like I’m having many pleasures, but we’re well, enjoying nice food and the odd glass of red wine 🍷, chilly but enjoyable walk on Monday so I suppose life isn’t too bad, just some nagging things going on that play on my mind.
Will be glad when SAD time is over and sunnier days are here as it does seem to affect me.
Have a good day everyone 😊13 -

G'day
Lots of seals at Flamborough too Frith. In the bay next to the lighthouse.
D Doll - can't decide if Dr M is a 'Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen' type or just dilatory about time keeping!
Went to collect new specs today. Driving for me, reading for DH.
Took some more things to the next door charity shop too. Bit more room in the house.
Last of hm soup from the freezer for lunch. Recipe from my new Nigel Slater book. It has broken up spaghetti in which had soaked up most of the liquid when frozen so it was too solid to be called soup anymore! Still very tasty though.
Happy Wednesday everyone

1. Both days' Sustainable Food pick-ups done, 5am>mid-afternoon. Back to river for more striding out, then Thermos, watching new arrivals, rowers. Freezing.
2. At 2nd A1di pick-up, saw their luxury mincemeat rtc>9p per jar! Took all - 2 varieties: Salted Caramel, Brandy, back to Neighbourhood Centre. Worthwhile for jars alone! But also turns out that Chrimbo mincemeat Bread&Butter Pudding was the recent dessert recipe fave for Centre learners.😃👏❤
3. Birthday flowers still brill., 16 days on. They're visible from kitchen, outside in one of &'s bits of studio pottery, topped up with rainwater.
4. Rugby Preview subbing etc. ongoing. Spotted 2pm and 3pm kick-off times given for 1st XV on Saturday. Tsk! tsk! We can't have that!
5. Crossed paths with R and W unexpectedly in A1di. Good 🦚🏉 and other talk. W, Zimbabwean, recently LLM, in top squad. R is ICU nurse, Addenbrookes. They married and came on to the AGM afterwards in 2020, in their wedding finery.😍🤩CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Pleasures for yesterday
1. A proper start on the marking
2. walked to station - was cooooold but i enjoyed the walk, haven't done it for a while

4. Things were bought - but not much by me
5. tea in the cafe - an experience not to be repeated often. I think the servers should ask for their money back from the charm school they went to.
and today
1. hmm more marking - it's the getting through it that is the pleasure not the doing of it.
2. a walk with friend and little doggy in the arboretum
3. a cuppa sat outside the cafe, was sheltered so not too cold.
