5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

Comments
-
1. DH had a negative test - if today is negative he can go to work on Wednesday. Mine is still negative.
2. Planted some broad beans in pots.is
3. More garden stuff in the skip.
4. Watching the football.
5. Enjoying my book.10 -
For yesterday,
Trip into horsey town for a few bits, including flowers for my friend.
Made a loaf, rye bread with pumpkin seeds this time.
Small dog went to the beauty parlour aka my friend’s mobile grooming van, now all trimmed and smelling sweet, friend was chuffed with flowers - of course I also paid ☺️Easy tea of cold chicken, chips and sauerkraut, my latest addiction.
Watched some of the footie, turned over for Uni Challenge then back again.12 -
Ridiculously wrong meteo, so o/n laundry spread about indoors. Wet and gloom pretty much all day, y compris Town of Horse.
1. Lovely postie things for & from France, arrived on The Day. Found on return.😊
2. Began the day with Buck's Fizz, ended by ending the Lafitte.🍊🍾🥂😘
3. Feeling safe, fit, warm, fed, watered, wined, capable, self-reliant, with options, choices, books, listening, mobility and various appliances. Travel will be possible again at some point. DFDS offers may work.
4. Happy notes from old friends saying more things en route.
5. Online stuff away from &squat for connectivity. Good comms resumed 💞. More Rugby Preview sorting for Saturday - only 2nd Match in 6wks - and at home v Colchester. Again tough, also means & will be in Raffle Harridan mode again.😁

Crumble, chips, chicken (Hens OK!),
VL Bored Beans are a Non-Food! Like Sprouts!
Fresh Sheets!
and some Bucks Fizz! There, that was ...
Watched another flix last night. I has reached the age when the synopsis says 'Outdated attitudes, language and cultural descriptions which may cause offence', it should be ok and not full of correctness! It was. Never heard of it before, but Balls of Fury. Had an old Chinese actor, James Hong, whose career has spanned seven decades and still going! Fuit juices and cheeses were taken! Was released in 2007! How attitudes have ...
Acted as official timekeeper for the Albatross this morning on her second attempt to regain the Land Speed record! No fault start and good progress was done, but wagon for other unit on her site soon slowed progress and I still hold the record! She was baqgged off with her lunch box of good things!
Then I whipped off to the discount surplus store to get provisions in, and some wobbleade as well! The mariners play this evening DD! So we bee listening on the web thing! Cheeses will also be taken! Using the discount surplus store against going to the w8r5, has saved over £80 so far this year!
Missed the bash today, so sat with my apple (Keeps the quack away and other things!) mug of tea and some cheese with the SA cricket on!
Jen sends her things again and a buzz!
Keep safe!
Edit!
The Albatross is in the Borough, hide!
I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!11 -

OH has got into the habit of putting a teabag into a clean cup and leaving it by the kettle for me. Especially when I go out as he knows it's pretty much the first thing I will do when i get in. Thoughtful and very much appreciated.

Ampersand, always good to celebrate having survived another year, glad it involved champers and nice things from friends.
Pleasures - peace and quiet, having the place to myself when son spent the weekend in Germany with his young lady.
The safe return of son in the early hours of yesterday.
Brilliant sunshine heralding the return of the sun and the promise of brighter days ahead.
All Christmas stuff packed away last week, the house looking fresh again.
Dog running through field with best mate (black spaniel called Luna).
Another dog walk was down a country lane, past lots of fields with horses in. So quiet, no traffic, beautiful sunshine.
The challenge of using up Christmas food in imaginative new ways. I hate wasting anything.
Planning for family visiting this coming weekend, including their new puppy Izzy (a black Sprocker). My dog is in for a fun time, but I guess the cats won't be too impressed.
Death of a washing machine followed by resurrection due to insertion of a new circuit board. Now working properly again, no more hand washing our unmentionables.
Prepping for choir practice by accessing online pre-recorded tutorial. The voice has had a few weeks off so need to get the practice in.
Gathering ingredients for an amazing chicken biryani to be done in the slowcooker for our weekend guests. I tried this recipe the other week and it was lush. So lush I have even splashed out on real saffron for the rice.
A young tabby and white cat snuggled up on a blanket on the back of the sofa, a larger ginger and white one on a chair, a black and white Border Collie at my feet. Simple pleasures.
One life - your life - live it!11 -
