Spud with cheese and beans! Mmmmm?
DD Brekkies without snorkers, poor show!SatDay on Bored!
Nudged the Albatross up as she is working ot this day and snoozed on for five minutes! That is what it is like on the hammocks! Got purred up by Kitty and she had been fed! I had my honey monster to keep me right! later, do not panic, it shall be brunchfest!
Watched another flix last night, free from free paper on the chili thing. Sneakers I selected it early yesterday as the Albatross wanted a Robert Redford (why?). But poignant as Sidney Pottier was in it as well! Very good Fiery Waters were drunk and cheeses taken! Another free one from my bankers today, details tomorrow!
Now sat with my mug of tea watching the bash, waiting later to get another ginger biscuit, which were £2.49 in the discount surplus store before xmas, but now they be not! Very good for you! Recommended!

Good afternoon
What a grey day, so not much happening here.
Went out yesterday and DH drove back. He's obviously feeling much better to do that.
DD came this morning to help me move some furniture. I've forbidden DH any lifting duties. The patio door is being replaced tomorrow ( post burglary) so we've moved things away from the door. I hope the weather is a bit better tomorrow!
Spare ribs simmering away in the slow cooker in home made bbq sauce. Ribs were yellow stickered at Sainsbury's. I rarely see bargains in meat so snapped them up. Got some lamb mince half price too.
Want to start a new knitting/sewing something but lacking inspiration at the moment. Might use up some wool making hats for a charity until I think of something more exciting. My Methodist upbringing! The devil finds work for idle hands, you know!
Happy Saturday everyone12 -

Worrying times, hope Mum is ok Bala
For today,
Bit of a lie-in followed by warm croissants for breakfast.
Horrible day weather wise and I had a bit of a drive for a friends meet-up but took it easy in the heavy rain.
Seeing three dear friends, we met up at the pub at 12.30 and were still sitting at our table at 6, so much to catch up on and just lovely catching up with them after quite a few years.
CUFC are in the next round of the cup after beating Newcastle at their place, so proud of my team.
In my PJ’s now, warm and cosy at home, reflecting on a good day.12 -

Hello…freedom day! Hurrah! After 16 days in I could finally go out!A few doggy walks. Just in and although they’ve all been rainy walks it’s just nice to be out in fresh air and hello moon!Went as far as supermarket and felt ( overwhelmed is too big a word but just a bit oooft! at all the people) too many people and too close! Get back!Seemed to time it nicely and caught up on the current episode of current season of The Resident…my self isolation watching! And whilst thankfully (and I am very grateful) I wasn’t too unwell I definitely had a virus and have felt tired out on even slight exertion. Had an eight day headache which has thankfully gone. So now to gently get back to normal and routine ( I like routine)…and in saying that the alarm is set for early o’clock! Oooft!13

1 I am slightly addicted to the new series of Father Brown, another FB fan here.
2 A blt for lunch was delicious.
3 Did a tiny bit of kitchen tidying lead on to proper tidying, sorted out 2 drawers, swept up and then mopped up. Grated up cheese bought in bulk, left one out, the rest frozen, then portioned up the bacon and also chopped up the chicken thighs to ferret sized portions.
4 Chicken and rice for dinner.
5 Mesmerised by the variety of the birds tucking into the various things around the garden.
For today
1 I took it rather easy today didn’t go anywhere or do very much.
2 Cooked up haddock and oven chips for dinner.
3 Picked up a foraging book on a kindle daily deal to add to the other virtual “to be read” list.
4 There’s Christmas chocolate and movies, So far the Nutcracker and Rons gone wrong.

Pleasures for today (Saturday). It was almost the best laid plans of mice and men...
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) All housework done and tickets printed ready for the big FA cup match this afternoon. Smaller son has been waiting weeks for this, football team t shirt ready etc...
3) Text from bigger son saying he had gone to local (big) A and E but the doctor had had five attempts to scrape a piece of metal from his eye but she had been unable to do it so he was on the way to Birmingham Eye Hospital. I had looked carefully on Friday but it was a dark brown fleck of metal camouflaged by his extremely dark brown iris so it could only be seen through their microscope thing.
4) He got to A and E OK so we tentatively went to the match where our team (National League North) beat Reading, 80 places above them! All very exciting. Received a flurry of texts at full time including one from smaller son's driver who takes him to college!
5) More texts from bigger son and Birmingham Eye Hospital took another pointy needle to him and managed to prise the piece out. It was then I learned that he had had to drive from work to Birmingham with one eye shut (already poked and filled with dye by Redditch A and E) because no one was allowed time off to drive him... He feels better now but says it was second only to having the nerve removed from his snapped off tooth when he came off his bike.
6) Did the Virtual Pub Quiz and watched Casualty. Watching MOTD now but you can't quite see us.12
