Not posted in a while.
Had a relaxing holiday and took it easy. It was a much needed rest as still have the cold and feeling shattered after a couple of days back at work.
Seeing a lovely sunrise on the way to work.
Being allowed to take a friend at work home at lunch even though I would be late back for start of a meeting. She had just received some unexpected bad news.
Making full use of meals I had frozen. It has saved cooking which would have been effort.
Good chat with DS1 on the phone.10 -
For yesterday,
Over to see my girlie, she seemed a little brighter and even let me pick the sore foot out a little, was also nice to see my fellow livery owner and have a good catch up, she is into her 5th week of this cold virus - numerous negative tests - and still feels rough, it’s a real doozie.
Autumn sunshine on the trees at the bottom of the field, stunning colours.
Met my best mate for a cup of tea & a slice of cake, it was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the mild weather.
Popped into the farm shop on the way home and picked up a few bits for the freezer.
Tired so watched the GBBO and then had an early night.10 -
Mirror mirror on the wall!
My name is passed around as well!

Ship's Tales!
At last it is less than 10 days to go! More on than later. Got the bits working yesterday for the futire. Nearly time!
Had the chicken stir fry last night with mushrooms and sliced peppers! Added umph was made to the sauce. Served with easy sticky rice as well! Right tasty! Then as we had gorged all the strawberries, just ice cream!
Nipped out for some fiery fizzy waters as the football was on. Arsenal on the UHD, Mariners on the interweb listen to! Gooners did well, but time for a change I thinks at the park! The fiery fizzy water was drunk and cheeses eaten!
Empress this morning was a bit bouncy for her feed! I feed her last as there is much rushing about in the mornings! Eager she was and why does she lick the jelly first and then eat! She grazes!
That is all this day!
Keep safe!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!10 -

2. Rescue mission all day yesterday. Among several offset pleasures, 2 lovely renewals with former colleagues.
3. Still a few courgettes come. Today's went well with h-g tomato into lush pasta leftovers. All very yum.
4. &'s new h-m seedy walnut bread is scrummy.
5. Early blood tests done into 7 vials! We are very, very fortunate with near village surgery and exceptional staffing. Reiterated my thanks for immediate wrist care after fall, Addenbrookes et al. Nurse bemused by hospital fracture term: 'floating fragments'.

Still have the cold and feel very tired but very slowly improving.
1. Saw a neighbour and chatted with her. Haven't seen her to speak to in months. Have offered to walk her dog for her on Fridays. It will mean that I will actually walk. She also let me know that another neighbour died last week. He was a lovely man but has been ill for a while.
2. Work was strange but got through the day. Saw some interesting people.
3. Watched autumn watch.
4. Another early night

For yesterday,
Busy all morning catching up on chores that have let slide a bit while feeling poorly, took my time and good to get done.
Sorted out a recipe for a smaller festive cake and made a list of what’s needed.
Over to the yard and yet another vet visit, this one come armed with an x-ray machine and at last the culprit was found, a deep set hoof abscess, not detected by usual methods due to her lovely hard feet! Hot poultice applied and hopefully this will start to draw it out. Oh the relief that it wasn’t something more sinister!
Home and then straight out to SM to pick up some new born baby nappies as they are best for wrapping around poultice before applying vetwrap & duct tape.
A glass of something cold and alcoholic just because!
