For yesterday,
Sunshine and lots of it after what has seemed like weeks of endless cloud, such a lift.
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Busy in the garden, despite no sun and v little rain there was plenty of weeds to dispose of, then we washed the cars which still had the harvest dust all over them.
Snooze after lunch then watched the footie.
Evening walk with small dog, beautiful sunset and home in time to watch Vera.

Yesterday pleasures.....
Ecstatic welcome from dog on arriving home from night shift.
Decided not to go to bed, just pottered about, eating toast, drinking coffee, dropping off briefly whilst catching up with online news. Nothing essential to be done, just pleased myself.
Welcome sunshine on my face as I lounged in the garden.
The sight of a contented cat in the hanging chair.
A brief nap on the sofa with Classic FM in the background. Not long, but I woke up feeling more energised and it was still before 12:00.
Quick stir fry lunch of chicken, red onions, mushrooms and kale with soy sauce and sesame oil. Afters was vegan salted caramel tart with strawberries and cream. Quite lovely.
Trip to shops - I am sorting out the smallest spare bedroom and now have a new light shade, some frames for artwork and a lovely coastal themed picture for in there.
Spent time catching up with neighbours over the front garden wall in the sunshine - they gave me a bottle of beer, I gave them a few home grown green peppers.
Went to bed early, finished a book, started a new one before settling to sleep for what turned out be a good solid sleep, sleep deficit cancelled out.One life - your life - live it!13 -
And the work is done! Over and out! Hu-blooming-rah!Up at early o’clock and was at the park when it was still dark o’clock but we had a nice walk as it lightened a bit though it was raining. I love the solitude and stillness. Then out to work and it was an okay day that passed by fairly quickly considering we weren’t mobbed.Good tips.Chat with boss and I’ve rescinded even more responsibility that I’d kept on. I just didn’t want it! Feeling stressed by a few things just now of which work stuff is one of them. I want to claim back my days off as my days off. And focus a bit on me. So that went better than I’d thought and did a handover after work.Chips for tea.Being proud of DD2. She’d had her nails done very badly on Thursday , two of which came off on Friday. She sent a message yesterday with photos and went back in today. Chap wanted her to pay , told her to leave but she stuck to her guns and got it sorted! For free!Hello doggy, have you packed your bag yet? What do you mean no?11

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a terrible sleep. Enjoyed listening to Angela Scanlon's podcast where she interviewed Jo Brand.
2) Smaller son refused to go to college. 9 weeks at home now and counting... He was very chirpy all day and agreed to go round Sainsburys.
3) Hens OK.
4) All the washing and bedding done and dried or still out on the line. 31 degrees today!
5) My auntie's house is on the market now. Not nice to see the photos of it online (looks very odd completely empty, though the house clearance company had certainly given it a good clean). The pleasure was pointed out to my sister - it needs to be sold and quickly, so it does not deteriorate. No one would know if something started leaking or if there was a break in.
6) Just had spaghetti for tea - too hot to cook earlier.
7) Will watch First Dates just now.
Car MOT in the morning........11 -
fingers crossed for the MOT frith
1) slept soooo well, woke full of beans, walked the dogs, breakfast and 30 mins in the garden before work
2) deanery day - omg in work with people - amazing!
3) home, took the dogs straight out and thought i'd have a go at running up my road. fortunately one of them needed a poo half way up rofl or obviously i'd have made it running all the way. then decided to see how far i could run up balgay - got to the slow children sign which is further than sunday.
4) supper - last of the bean stew then feet up to Fever Pitch: the rise of the premiere league (we brush swiftly over Kenilworth Road's brief appearance in the documentary and the Luton Town / Millwall riots)
5) and then my guilty secret - First Dates.
Time for bed with plans of more attempts at both my road and Balgay Hill(10k now just under 4 weeks). Night all

Ahhh MOTs like waiting for exam results.
Its been a bit of a weird day, this week we were due to start a sign language level 1 qualification and they’ve cancelled the course. I was also due to do an interview tomorrow and that’s also cancelled.
1 DH is happy, his car is back on the road thanks to a part that arrived 3 weeks earlier than planned and is at least half the price, so what’s not to like
2 I made a point of sitting the arthritic ankles in the sun and relaxing I don’t know if it helps at all but I am game to try in the couple of days sun ahead.
3 I made minted chop parcels that steamed slowly in the oven with mixed veg and some pots all covered in mint.
4 Watering the garden a definite pleasure.

Good morning. Bright and sunny with a promise of hot.
Back at the caravan. Always feels very relaxing here. It's so quiet. Well, apart from some noisy seagulls.
Lovely walk by the sea when we got here. Very slight haze but it soon burnt off to be a glorious day.
Stopped en route at a garden centre for coffee and bought an elephant footstool. As you do. Totally not MSE and totally not a need but I love it and it makes me smile every time I look at it, so it had to be.
Lovely laze about afternoon ( may have been a nap involved)
Rounded the day off with Silent Witness. They seem to be affected by staff shortages like everywhere else. Only two of them to do everything!
Happy 🌞 day everyone11 -
For yesterday,
0-5 all wrapped into one, small dog had her op to remove the lump and apart from the indignity of having to wear the cone of shame ( albeit an inflatable one ) she seems to have come through ok.
The waiting was horrible for her Mum and I did loads in the effort to keep my mind off but oh the relief when the call come through.
The patient has just had small amount of cold sausage with her morning painkiller ☺️12 -
