Hello. Day three worked…still more to go.
Anyway up early and into the car with a dog and a daughter ( oh I’ll come wake me up …oh it’s so early. I’m so tired. I’m going back to bed. Why am I up? …Er because you asked! )Anyway the doggy and I enjoyed our walk. This is my bit of headspace before a day of heat and stress and noise begins.Work was worked. Tips were less than half of what we got yesterday but better than a poke in the eye with a stick!
it’s my sisters wedding anniversary so we had a lovely chat on the phone for ages. My husband gave her away, boyo was just starting to toddle and DD1 we had yet to meet but was in my very pregnant tummy! Lovely memories from a lovely day.Hello doggy, yes I’ve missed you too.Looks like it’s been dull but dry so washing was dried on the line.12 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Spent all afternoon tidying and cleaning my room after yet another spider walked across my bed while I was in it and reading last night! Have moved all the furniture around so my bed is further away from the fireplace (where they might be hiding). I'm quite pleased with the new layout.
4) Took smaller son for a "midnight shop" (his favourite activity, besides football), though we were home by 9pm!
5) Just watched Holby and looking forward to the Last Leg.
6) In bed with 1 hwb!

Recent pleasures:
Afternoon tea with my bestie, expensive but nice and always good chat with her 😊
A bit of gardening over the weekend, OH strimmed and mowed my “wild flower meadow” , otherwise known as the scraggy grass at the end of the garden. I just let grow what was there this year but hope to introduce some colour with poppies etc next year.
Picked up all the windfall apples and made 2 big apple 🍏 and blackberry sponges.
Made moussaka from scratch, a bit of a faff but it was delicious 😋
Walk today with friend to bird 🦅 hide to try out my new binoculars. Bacon roll and cuppa in the cafe whilst we discussed our few days away in Northumberland.

Tiggy very unwell for 3 days. In the middle of the night before emergency vet appointment there was vomitting, voiding of bowels and blood. You can imagine what was going through my mind. Where is the pleasure you ask. It's in the fact that it was nothing I was imagining, not even anal abscess which she has had before. That comes with pain so I was mentally wringing my hands all night. In between soothing, cuddling and showering her. It's a bacterial infection treated with antibiotics.
I seem to be constantly thanking my washing machine. Sincerely.
Unfortunately (that word doesn't cover it) got home from the vets, sorted Tiggy with Sudocrem (yes, advised by vet for sore bottom) and got a phone call. Dad going back to hospital. Suspected sepsis. Where is the pleasure you may very well ask. I managed to get through to him at around 10pm. He sounded stronger than I thought he would.
Thank you fantastic Ambulance Crew.
Happycas.....huge hugs......
have a good day all....

Oh Bala, thank you so much but it's definitely you who needs the hugs. Much love and hugs coming your way. I suppose, clutching at straws of pleasures, it's good that Tiggy recovered before you had the news about your dad. I hope he manages to recover too.
We have had a tottering week. Three times DGD was to be discharged and twice there were problems that needed investigating and so she had to stay put. I'm really glad they are being so thorough but it was hard to keep waiting for news.
Anyway, finally a real pleasure. She came home last night. There are still some outpatient appointments looming, but the family are all under one roof again. And breathe!
Happy Wednesday (? I think it's Wednesday!) everyone10 -
Happycas, clutching at straws covers it. I love those straws. At least I have them.
So so very pleased that family all back together and DGD is on the mend.
big kiss

Oh Bala, what a worry with Tiggy and then your Dad, hugs.
Good to hear that DGD is home at last HappyCas.
For yesterday,
Couple of hours with pony, long groom and a tidy up of her mane, tail and legs. She loves a good pamper and snoozed through most of it.
Chilly again so a big batch of soup made with bottom of fridge veg and leftover roast chicken.
A mama blackbird enjoying a windfall apple under the tree.
Long chat with DB and a catch up on family news.
Bedsocks as evening distinctly chilly.

Oh hello. Day number I’ve lost count in a row done. Sigh. One day nearer my holidays but still so near yet so far!Up early and it was still dark and out with doggy in the dark. Not to my liking! I like it to be light at 11pm and then again at 3.30am. But a shiny sliver of moon and a couple of other doggy walkers to say hello to.Then into work but managed to get away for half an hour to come home and walk doggy and also watered the garden and wrote my blog page. Amazing what you can do with a spare 20 minutes! Then back in and it went by quick enough. Good company in the kitchen makes the day go better, sat outside for 15 minutes and chatted with boss. A glorious day here. Then a quick nip into supermarket and about to make dinner with leftover chicken in a pasta and salad.
Hot shower then cold shower then clean the shower!Dog snuggles. I’ve missed you too.9
