DfV : if your lightbulb has broken and left the metal part in situ, impale a potato on it and use that to twist it free. I can attest that This Works!

DD, Happy birthday, hope it’s a great one with tea and cake.
Paulie, Your photo’s are so relaxing to see.
For yesterday
1 Had a natter.
2 My wonderful car started good as gold, I am embarrassed by just how long it has sat there.
3 Took DH to a hospital apt, that went really well, they are so pleased his progress is well ahead, so he’s very happy.
4 I popped in very early to aldi for strawberries, bread and milk to see us through the weekend.
5 HM meatballs, pasta and tomatoish sauce.
6 The house is hoovered, and the front garden was mowed, but the back lawn is on tomorrows to do as I ran out of steam, inclination.
For today
1 A grilled bacon sarnie has become a bit of a Friday traditional lunch here.
2 House is all mopped fresh rugs down. Back garden mowed, all a pleasure completed.
3 Chicken, salad and chips for tea one of my favourites.
4 Chatting to friends online where we would normally be with at this time of year at a steam event.
5 Picked up a bag in a sale, a lot smaller as my big bag is making my shoulder hurt and it seems okay, I’ve filled it up so we will see.

Hello and a very happy birthday to DD hope you’ve managed to have a perfectly lovely day 🎈🎂
Woke up with ( as expected) labyrinthitis. I recognised the signs last night and took myself to bed early. So a very dizzy world but had to do an hour of work .Then went a walk with doggy,
Then home and reclined for a couple of hours. However I then got quite a few ‘to do’ jobs done including cutting the back grass, power washing the patio and painting the last bit of gate post and then my door wreath hanger ( which was gold but is now green same as gate and door and much less garish! But I did them all over several hours. Did a bit. Stopped for a bit. Did a bit more.Been another nice day.Alarm clock is set for absolutely ridiculous o’clock which will definitely still be dark!13 -
happy birthday DD
Hope you're feeling better, mhags
Pleasures for last few
1. went down to see my brother and terminally ill sister in law - she was frail but feisty. so glad i went
2. then went on to meet up with the girls i went to school with - 2 of whom i haven't seen for 2 years (the other lives just up the road and we have regular doggy walks)
3. looong train journey to ICT (one side of country to the other, but it's warmer here!). Read LOADS
4. Last night's sunset
5. trip to barmouth today - in warm sunshine, lovely
Have a great evening all
I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
Happy birthday, DD. 111010 ?
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Still no Coronavirus symptoms and my and smaller son's test results were negative today so isolation is over! No idea how smaller son escaped it as they share the world's smallest bedroom and a bunkbed etc.
3) Bigger son went to see one of his school friends and is now with MrN's son5. Smaller son and I went to Tesco. Very nice to be out and about again.
4) Chips from the van for tea.
5) Hens OK. In fact, they're looking very well and glossy just recently.
6) My mortgage is now down to 3 figures...
7) Finally ordered a new remote control for the television so we won't have to lean over it, jabbing it hundreds of times to get the right channel. It seems new to me but is 13 years old so relieved to find we can still buy a replacement.
8) Had another proper clean up, dust and window clean upstairs of new dust settling after the central heating was fitted.
9) Looking forward to the Last Leg later on.12 -
Special birthday wishes, DD, who is - as bala calculates and & agrees - 75(methinks not😁)by those prime numbers.
Congratulations Frith on that mortgage figure. How you've worked to keep that safe roof for you and sons after repeated horror shenanigans from ex-oh.

Frith I know that’s binary but that always defeated me !

@Suffolksue it’s one of my weird interests! I like that the on/off buttons on televisions are binary - the circle with the vertical line.11

For yesterday,
A better night sleep wise, such a please nowadays.
Cold and cloudy, made me sort through wardrobe checking for any A/W requirements, just new slippers needed.
Pony was in a much more settled mood and worked well in the school.
Busy afternoon in the kitchen cooking for the freezer, also put some dried fruit in tea to steep and will make a tea loaf this morning.
Beautiful sunset, such a mellow golden light.12
