1 I’ve had a refund received from the bank I’m impressed how they dealt with it, from where I put in a complaint to about the company taking money for a years’ worth of litter.
2 Travelled to pick up Bourneville’s heart fluid meds, it was lovely to be out in the air conned car and we seemed to have hit that magic lull in the mid-morning traffic, I have to say the price was also a lovely surprise, our vets are good.
3 Tesco delivery always seems luxurious, mainly fruit and veg, with a Christmas present of their half price yankee set put to one side for DB.
4 I watched Robin Williams in Awakening, just what a moving film, amazing acting talent.
5 I tidied up some clothes bits and bobs, I still need to clear out more to know what I have, but I didn’t fancy doing it in this heat, so I sorted out one bin bag full of clothes, but I think there are probably another 3 bin bags to go, but I got over heated.

Sorry for those isolating, enjoy a rest and your gardens.
Thanks for the kind comments about my garden😊Friend and I went to West Mersea for our outing yesterday. Never been before, it was lovely and had beautiful old cottages. We enjoyed watching the changes as the tide came in and had a very nice crab salad in a pub looking out at the water. Good day and beat the rush hour coming home.
Lazy day today, the heat and these days out make me very tired and I have very sore, hay fever eyes. I don’t know how you do 7 days in a hot kitchen MHags ☹️
Enjoyed a few dips in the hot tub and an easy dinner of leftover chicken casserole.
My new honeysuckle has really grown and has lots of buds, I can’t wait until it flowers, didn’t expect it to this year.
The new bathroom is beautifully tiled but the shower pump doesn’t work, 🤞 it gets sorted, good job we’ve got the hot tub 🤣

aw lovely nostalgic chats. as i've said before this is a really lovely thread
1) Saturday hooray and another glorious day. started with housework and a bath
2) gbf came round at 11 to walk the boys but it was too hot. so we left the boys at home and walked down to the CS with 3 bags woo hoo
3) met a young lad coming the other way who had picked up a card and said what do you think i should do with it, it looks important. omg it was the card i dropped yesterday! (card dd2 had sent me and i had been using as a bookmark)
4) went to Illyria Further adventures of dr doolittle in the botanics - was super duper - gbf bought the tickets and i bought the icecreams at the interval
5) then we walked the boys - much better! then an evening in the pub. Dr M was late (as usual) and had a very long chat to the barmaid who fancies him at the end of the evening sigh. but we had a lovely evening, he's up for watching the leicester man u game, and we have a table booked for tuesday - my outlaws will be here but x's brother is keen leeds fan which apparently is very acceptableand we're up to 4 households as of monday so that's all good

1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son is out of isolation! Good luck to everyone going into it...
3) Hens OK.
4) Very hot and hayfeverish day. Did little except a load of washing.
5) Sandwiches for lunch (sometimes. they're just what you want) then halloumi kebabs and rice for tea.
6) Popped to Tesco as it is smaller son's favourite place for a look round.
7) Watched Casualty.11 -
It's been a while since I posted so in no particular order
1. Had a great holiday in Jersey. I needed the break and feel so much better for it.
We didn't do too much in Jersey apart from lots of walking. We did lots of coastal walks which was lovely. Also are good food - lots of fish.
2. Meeting a friend for lunch and having a long chat with her.
3. DS1 taking my Dad to watch the Open golf and taking a good photo of them both.
4. Sitting in the garden watching bats in an evening with DH.
5. Family WhatsApp chat. My nephew posted a video of him practising a golf swing asking for advice. DS2 gave him advice and then offered to have a round of golf with him.9 -
Glad you enjoyed your holiday VL.
For yesterday,
Bit of a lie-in, had changed the bed the day before and clean sheets always feel so much better.
The Postie came with a parcel of SH books, including M Haig, The Midnight Library that I’ve been wanting to read for some time.
First cuddles with new great nephew, smashing little chap.
Did a freezer dive and came up with some Thai green chicken curry for tea.
Watched a programme about female comedians so finished the day with giggles.11 -
