Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Posted an Ebay sale. I've done about 80 this year and I find the listing very boring and the wrapping and trundling over to the Post Office tedious too. There are 2 more listings on Ebay then I shall have a little rest. The Ebay sales from earlier in the week knocked £30 off the mortgage.
3) Hens OK.
4) Smaller son has an very good online friend in the North East who has told him about Greggs. I know they are nationwide but this friend thinks it is a NE thing. We had our first trip to one today! I enjoyed a sausage roll and a caramel custard doughnut. (I think the only NE food my mum brought down with her was pease pudding!)
5) Chips from the van for tea (not a healthy day).
6) Heard our new neighbour (the man with the pony tail) say, "Heyyyyyyy" outside to our cat!
7) Smaller son's college phoned to say attendance on Monday and Tuesday (the last 2 days of the term) are optional as most of the pupils have siblings at mainstream schools who either have coronavirus or the school has had to shut. I don't know how many pupils at smaller son's college had it. They are taught 1 to 1 but social distancing is almost impossible in a SEND college.
8) Sitting in bed in front of the fan now and will watch the Last Leg later.10 -
I have to admit I dropped the ball this week, I forgot to order one of the ferret meds which means we now have to pay a lot more to get it directly from the vets and I had to phone and grovel for it to be done by tomorrow, which also means a drive out. Thankfully they know it’s not what we normally do so no problem. It did cause a bit of a ruckus between dh and I but hey ho we pay more and have a drive out it was a mistake I won’t make twice.
1 The french doors as always flung open, so a damsel fly came in flew around the room and landed on me briefly before flying away. Some beautiful flutterbies passing through as well.
2 Took DH to have his stiches out and he has healed amazingly well, so dressing is off completely now, but has to stay in a sling 24/7 for the next 4 weeks, while we were out did a round robin to chemist and screwfix.
3 Shared freezer to oven pizza was lunch, and dinner is faggots and veg. the freezers have cleared down nicely with us being in isolation, we are now free to go out, just not in a rush to - we will leave it until a work day next week.
4 Filled all the extra tomato trays in areas garden and run for anything that needs them. And dug out some sugar free ice lolly’s to freeze down, made up extra ice cubes.
5 My time, watering the garden, lovely.
6 I’ve just re planned the food to make sure its using up freezer stock.
7 I’ve just found 2 pairs of summer sandals I snaffled from the sales ohh a couple of years ago now. Result.

Pleasures for yesterday
1. A trip to the MiL's. I don't go that often, not because i don't like her - am always happy to sit and chat - but it takes the whole day to do so.
2. A walk in the sunshine was nice as was sitting in the sun in her garden.
3. Popped into J. Lewis on the way back to the station and bought a mirror for the remodelled bathroom - although we went in for a laundry hamper!
4. Lunch which was a falafel and hummus wrap followed by strawberries and cream.
5. Family film night - DD's choice of the Darjeeling Express. It's a Wes Anderson who i don't usually get on with. I'm not sure I really understood it, but watched to the end.
Have a lovely sunny weekend all.I wanna be in the room where it happens10 -
For yesterday,
Hoovered the house before it got too hot.
Went to see my girl, wasn’t going to ride so wore shorts and so much cooler. I did a bit of gentle long-reining in the school then gave her a cool bath and grazed her in-hand under the trees.
Both of the honeysuckles are now in bloom and you can smell them as you come through the garden gate.
Pork Souvlaki with lemon rice for tea.
Late evening water of the pots & baskets, gave them a good feed as well.10 -
It's great to 'see' everyone doing well and gardens blooming..........
Jackdaws are back. They must have been on holiday.
Doesn't matter how many different bird seeds, nuts bought specially, fat balls I put out...........every single breed of bird prefers bread !
PK, did the same myself. Not being at home and having such a stressful time down here, I ended up paying my vet 2 and a half times (he felt sorry for me the last time) for a prescription. It's a long story........
Have a lovely weekend

Going to make garden bunting for DD with the off-cuts from her cushions. Can't bear to throw anything away!.
A neighbour is holding her son's wedding reception in her garden. They had a portaloo delivered yesterday! They couldn't have picked a better day, weather wise.
