Good afternoon
Well, it's nice and bright but still a very cold wind. And frost again early this morning. Come on , weather! Warm up!
D Doll - love 'power of eternity'. That might cost a bit more than £80 though! And be an even more complicated form to complete.
Bubble friend came for morning coffee. She's struggling with anxiety. I think this last year has been very hard for those who live alone. The pleasure is she has a very sympathetic GP. And that she's prepared to talk to me about it. Sent her home with some butterfly buns to cheer her up ( if only it was that easy!)
Managed to get half the bedding washed and on the line. Bet it's nearly dry now. Rest in washer to run early tomorrow. And bed made ready for bedtime!
Started watching Secret State It is one we must have missed first time round. And I do like Gabriel Byrne. Very good so far.
Happy 🌞 day everyone

Evening all
Five pleasures for Wednesday:
1. Had a very big organic veg delivery today ready for a big batch cooking session on Saturday.
2. In today's box they included a bunch of asparagus so I steamed the whole lot (feeling greedy) and had it with supper. First of the season for me and so lovely.
3. Unexpectedly, the builders turned up to finish the repairs they had started on the guttering - our landlord's paying so no worries there and it was just good to get that job ticked off.
4. Chatting with one of my neighbours as we found ourselves walking in the same direction to the village shops at lunchtime.
5. Just watched Sewing Bee. Wish I could find old episodes from previous series anywhere. Does anyone know if they are available?
Sweet dreams,
Bx

Good morning all,
Hello Broomstick, I don't believe we've met 😊
Yesterday's pleasures.......
HT went to school without moaning, yay.
I had a socially distanced chat with my cousin
After that it was home to let a man in the garden to clear the gutters which were overflowing every time it rained. He gave me quotes for some other jobs that need dong too so I've booked some dates for him to do them.
I made an easy tea as Looked after Person was here. He doesn't usually get fed on a Wednesday but there was a change of timetable this week.
I spent ages looking for the HT's baby photo album. I finally found it stashed in a cupboard in his bedroom. I really need to get rid of some of the "stuff" in this house. Most of it belongs to him and there are a couple of bags of it in the spare room that he no longer wants. I need to get ebaying or bagging it up for the charity shop.
Take care all of you 😊13 -
Thinking of SSue and hope she is coping with everything that needs doing xFor yesterday,
Someone bringing me a cup of tea in bed, I’d had a rough night with nightmares and sleeplessness so such a welcome sight.
Spending the morning with my equine girlie, my happy place. She was an angel and a joy to be with.
Long chat with my human bf as well.
Dark clouds and thunder rolling around all afternoon but the green of the trees looked spectacular against the black!
Heating clicked in again 🥶 so pjs on for the evening, can we have summer now please.

Good morning. Another too tired to post last night. It was actually snowing here earlier when I was out with dog at 5am!Yesterday started off industriously!Months ago ( pre lockdown) I was holding a load ( and I mean a load) of stuff for someone to be taken to a charity that another friend supports. And I was of course hopeful that once lockdown ended that it would all be taken away. But no, it couldn’t for a variety of reasons. Meanwhile garage absolutely full! Anyway I phoned a charity shop yesterday and loaded up the car with most of it. And took it down. Phew. As quiet a few of the charity shops though opened aren’t taking collections. So that was a huge tick off the to be done list, ✅
Round at mums.
I emptied a shelf in my hall cupboard of computer games that son left and doesn’t want so will offer them for free today. Apparently charity shops don’t take them.Managed to get hoovered upstairs and downstairs but didn’t get as far as washing the floors as a chap came round to look at the downstairs loo. My next project...and of course it won’t be an easy job! It’s the absolutely teeny tiniest space and of course it’s been plumbed awkwardly! Then I had a reiki session. It’s been a while. An hour flew by. Felt like 10 minutes.Lovely walk with the doggy ...in the hailstones! Waaah!Got very RTC flowers and cake.Have a lovely day, I’m going to walk up to polling station soon and place my crosses! See what tomorrow brings!14 -
S Sue vast virtual hugs. Some for yesterday
1 Taking it easy today after a dreadful night awake all night and fell asleep at about 7am a pleasure not to have to rush up.
2 Simple food, half a sarnie for me and full for DH, ordered in on a voucher and it was delicious.
3 Washing hanging in the sunshine, before running out and bringing it in rapidly. admiring our small patch of bluebells that grow throu the hydrangea.
4 I washed the landing skirting in preparation for me starting to white gloss it over the next few days.
5 There is a whole list of items that will be taken a photo of tomorrow, I’ll pop them on fb tomorrow for a little price and if they find new homes great.

Sue
wish I could take away the pain. Am not good with words so others will be along and do a much better job of expression than me.
In the meantime take solace that out here in this funny place, you are loved. You have people that care and also would carry your burden of grief if they could. Many of us are standing beside you, holding you up when you need it. We do this with our thoughts, our wishes, our prayers.

Oh Sue
My heart goes out to you. You have spent a long time doing just one thing, caring for your DH, and doing it exceptionally well. There must now be a huge gap in your life.
Please be kind to yourself. Allow yourself to grieve. And accept any help offered from your kind friends, and your son.
We are all here to listen, whether you want to cry, shout or moan. This is your safe place
Much love, Cas xx11 -
Keep plodding on, SuffolkSue, it's a strange limbo time between death and funeral, between life with an OH and life without. As you start sorting things out you will gradually find your own rhythm, your own routine. Make the most of family and friends who care, they are precious. One life - your life - live it!14
