Good evening all, pleasures for yesterday.....
A walk in the sunshine with looked after person (work day)
Best friend called in for coffee and a half hour chat
Called in to the shop for cat food on the way home from droppng LAP off. I thought we had more cat food than we actually did have and the cat tolerates me at best even though I feed her. The pleasure was that the shop wasn't busy so it was a quick in and out and I came home with some cheap plants too.
Did a little bit more weeding in the back garden after work. It's starting to look so much better.
Chat with the HT and watched an awful film together but at least we both thought it was awful. Gave up half an hour before the end. The pleasure was spending time with the HT.
**Waves to DfV. Good luck with the application.
Frith...I don't suppose an ordinary graphics card from a slighly older (but still able for gaming) pc would do? I'm guessing he has a proper gaming rig?

DigForVictory said:Not a skerrick who (or what) H is (no spoilers?!) but it sounds loads of fun.
hope that makes it clearer 🤔🤐😛
Great post as ever DforV
Pleasures for yesterday
1. painted the back yard despite the rain doing its best to prevent us - it's rather 'yellow' (supposed to be Cornish Cream) but a 1000 per cent improvement on what it was.
2. omelette for lunch
3. Town was busy - nice to see it thus
4. Pizza for tea - eventually. There was a rather long delay but i got a free glass of wine out of it.
5. A nice evening with friends and salty the dog.
And today
1. A lovely 8 mile walk in the hills. We did some of that walk last year and i'm definitely fitter walking up hills than i was then.
2. Sunshine though the wind was a bit brisk.
3. Afternoon tea with friends in the garden
4. A walk by the sea.
5. Looking forward to Call the Midwife and the LoD finale.
Have a good evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -

DD waves hello and yes I’d recommend Viewpoint. I very much doubt I’ll stay awake to see LOD tonight but shall catch up in the morning.
Alarm set for 6am...dog awake at 5am ( as was I but I was trying to be quiet...maybe I stop snoring then and he knows I’m awake! ) anyway jumper pulled over the jammies and out we went a very quick walk.Big worky day number one done, it was alright, we had to stay in and be interviewed by someone doing some research for her degree. So if I do become famous on the back of this interview you can say you knew me here first! Bit weirdy!Lovely welcome home from doggy and a non-boo from DD1...I knew she’d be hiding so she didn’t get to boo me! She’d made a nice pasta for dinner and we had leftover cakes for pudding!Hot shower and jammies on!14 -
Cranky - it is a complicated desktop as smaller son has bought newer/better components as time has gone on. Today he started dismantling it again (we couldn't face it after the horrific smouldering of Thursday!) and he found a melted cable going from the power supply to the graphics card. We'll see when it gets to the computer shop, hopefully on Tuesday.
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep as the neighbours were away.
2) Hens OK.
3) Made wraps for lunch with LO chicken.
4) Found 1 geocache after lunch.
5) House quite tidy.
6) Watched LOD, though it was a bit of a damp squib.
Both sets of neighbours are now going full throttle. One has had 2 what I can only call "geezers" around today. He was arrested outside our house a couple of weeks back, handcuffed and put in the back of a police van. He has always been really polite and sensible in his dealings with us but you can feel the tension he must be under almost emanating from his house. The other side is incredibly ignorant and rude and is the other side of smaller son's bedroom wall shouting "and I was like.... and she was like.... and then I was like...." into her phone at full volume. We can only sleep when she is asleep. Both houses are sold but it seems an incredibly long wait to see who their replacements will be. Uphill side sold in October!

1 t’s our wedding anniv, 16 years it certainly doesn’t feel like it., a leisurely start and then travelled over to the in-laws
2 They were just arriving back home loaded with lovely strawberries.
3 Sitting in their beautiful garden in the sun with tea and hm cakes.
4 We popped out and picked up fish and chips for all of us for dinner and we were treated to it, it was a great one and the first fish and chips we have had in a year.

Hello. Forecast storm not here yet, in fact it's rather pleasant so far.
Glad you're back , old friends. It wasn't the same without you.
PK - Happy Anniversary. Sounds like a good one.
I didn't know about Beltane when I decided May Day would be a good day to put up summer garden bunting. Now I've googled it, it seems it was indeed a good day for it. Thank you to those who pointed me in that direction. I shall do more research.
Yesterday was sun, rain, hail and repeat but it was a good day for finishing off bits and bobs.
Going to take round DGS birthday gifts today. Hoping the storm holds off or the hand over may have to be in the garage! He's 7 and it's his second lockdown birthday!! Here's hoping he can have a party for his eighth!
Watched LoD but can't think of any comment that won't be a spoiler. Still love the wee donkey though.
Lazy leftovers Monday tea. I like this system. It stops leftovers clogging the freezer, and I get a day off. Win,win.
Happy Bank Holiday Monday everyone

PK happy anniversary.
1. Went to local garden to look at the bluebells. They were lovely and intermixed with primroses and wild garlic. We were under trees for the couple of very short rain showers.
2. Went to garden centre and left without buying anything. Impressive with DH.
3. Moved a couple of plants in the garden. They are in better positions now.
4. Finished my book. I really enjoyed it.
5. Glass of wine in the garden with DH.13 -
Happy Anniversary PK sounds like you had a lovely day.
For yesterday,
Small dog woke me up early, need an urgent wee Mum! so let her out and she did the necessary, got back into her basket and was snoring within the minute, me on the other hand was wide awake so stayed downstairs and read my book.
Washed my car, not a pleasure as such but good when done.Lunch was nut roast followed by sticky toffee pudding.
Watched three episodes of Motherland back to back.
Evening walk and enjoyed the sunset, home to tea, crumpets and LOD.13
