Good afternoon
Bright and sunny again and not as cold today
Met my bubble friend at garden centre today. Had a coffee and cake sitting at a table. Felt very civilised and we were under the glass roof so it was nice and warm. Fed crumbs to the robin and blackbird. They're almost tame and it's a wonder they're not fat. Everyone feeds them!
Planted out some primulas that have been house plants for a while but now past their best. But it was soon too cool for me. I'm not just a fair weather gardener, I'm a warm weather gardener!
So inside and back to making bunting. It's for the garden though so it's sort of gardening.
Happy 🌞Tuesday everyone11 -
Looks like a pleasant evening now after an afternoon of rain.Didn’t get in from work till 10pm last night and then alarm went off at 5am oooft! Anyway another few hours worked.Caught up on Line of Duty....holy moly!Went a very big walk with dog and DD1. Encountered a rather odd chap so was glad I wasn’t on my own.Had cheese and onion toastie for lunch with a cup of leftover from work lentil soup which was rather lovely.
And a wee afternoon nap! DD1 tucked me up on the sofa with blankets!11 -
1 I didn’t feel like continuing clearing today, so bagged up what is to go and loaded it to the car. Got on and changed our bedding, washed, hung on the line, put clean on, washed towels, I find I do these things very quickly if I literally do it all as I’m getting up.
2 I am about to use our grown salad and cress so planted out a few more tubs, I should have thought to do it earlier ops.
3 Meal plans for today worked as porridge, chicken soup for lunch and used up bread crusts for dunking. Tea is a build your wrap of grilled chicken, seeded rice, salad, cheese and salsa, thou may cave to garlic bread in a bit.
4 Cleaned up the kitchen so microwave, oven, and fridge cleaned out.
5 Researched a few courses and enrolled on 2 free ones to update my SQL skills.

Mhags, I think you mean "mother of god!"... 🤣🤣
Pleasures for today
1. A bit of a lie in
2. washing hung out - bedding and towels needed refreshing after being left for 6 months.
3. Hair appointment booked but the earliest date is 7th May 😳 and a beauty appointment to get my eyebrows back which is next week
4. a nice walk on some paths we'd not done before. It was warm in the sunshine
5. did the garden - didn't take long and is looking heaps better.
6. Salmon for tea - with a delicious red from aldi.
7. DS arrived safe and sound
have a good evening all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
Tuesday pleasures:
Sunny morning so first walk for nearly a week as hadn’t been feeling up to it.
Went with friend to local country park and walked up to the weir.
The swans got very “matey” and I almost captured the mirroring heart 💓 moment!
Nice tribute to Prince Phillip who had visited the park on several occasions.
We drove back to the other weir and had lunch rolls from the cafe sitting by the river.
Toad in the hole for dinner 😋13 -
1. Work reasonable as certain colleagues not there!
2. Had a long conversation with a new colleague and giving her support as others don't who should. She is being made to feel small with no encouragement at all. I would have thought by now the penny may have dropped that something is wrong with the huge turn over of staff.
3. A lovely sky first thing- misty and the sky looked cold. My Mum said the photo looked ethereal.
4. Tea from the freezer and fridge with some leeks from the garden. It was tasty and money saving.
5. Text messages with a friend.10 -
For yesterday,
Watching our Robin family flying in and out of the back hedge, so hoping for babies.
Received an online auction purchase in post, a vintage seersucker checked tablecloth for garden table, perfect and just what I wanted.
Over to the yard, my girlie was a little colicky so lots of walking and hoping for a poo, finally arrived!
Sitting in the garden with a cup of tea.
Early night as tired out.

1. Vl - thoughts for you sprang 3 times yesterday🙂.
a. Your kind enquiry. Scratches now appear on &'s car bonnet. Nothing to be done.
b. If only we ospers could fix your work atmosphere! You have your own important work, as well as trying to counter what's being done to latest newcomer. Again, so glad about your new neighbours🙂. That's one improvement.
c. Rugby practice last night, fantastic turnout, special on-site wood-fired pizza offer+free🍷, ending under a new sliver moon. & wouldn't normally spend, especially not now, but it's also supporting Club. Pizza leftovers for Spitalfields tomorrow....
Had my thermos of black green tea as always, so no drink+drive dangers.
2. ....about which, v.late confirmation arrived. Can but try, with mask, sanitising+fierce oversight of any browsers. No earnings for well over a year. No debts either, DG, having never held a credit card in my life - os NZ upbringing. But savings can't grow on OAP alone.
3. College salon😃. Debadgered, hooray! Inches cut, yet still at waist? Can't work it out, but good-o. Temperature checked on entry, masks+sanitiser all used throughout. Lovely new Dorothea on reception, excellent. All impressive!
4. Small mile-ish each way walk on recovering Achilles, but enough was more than enough. Several stops. More Deep Heat to use muchly, today+tmrw. Fingers x'd for everything.
5. Look down and right at curve in bank for a river sight new to &. Saw 4 of them eventually. Sortakinda surfboard+punting crossover. Frith, has your eldest done this? The Cam even busier than last time - singles, pairs, 4s, 8s, many coaches on bikes, shouting, training for more glory. The Chisholm Trail and bridge work is progressing well.Just back in car when a big dust devil came from nowhere! 1st time experience for &. Chaos for crews on the water, too. Sticks, small stones, grit, leaves, rubbish - all whipping high and fast everywhere.

Happy even more belated birthday Nargle, with apologies.
Many happy returns to ICT, vjm.
Suffolk Sue - warmer yesterday and I hope some of this can be gently with you both, as Mhags has so well written from her heart and knowledge.
Mhags, v.glad you had Haggis with you.
Bonkersley weather indeed, Lainey. Had it here, too. How much more?

Reads like this:
