Feeling somewhat better, thank you 😊
Picked up click and collect, all present and correct.
Dinner, decided on pork fillets in a leek and apple sauce with leeks and mash, peas and carrots, followed by tiramisu, was very tasty 😋 as was the glass of red wine 🍷
Funny old day weather wise, washing dried in the sunshine ☀️ then we had sleety rain.
Dozed off during Line of Duty so went to bed then couldn’t get to sleep 😴
Haircut day today after nearly 6 months! Hurray 😃
Happy Monday 😘

Nargle - happy very belated birthday
Ampersand - how is it with your neighbour any improvement?
Bala - enjoy time with your family
1. Slept in for me.
2. Washing dried on line and most didn't need ironing. Doing far less ironing now - it's great
3. Sat in the sun with a herbal tea and read my book. In the sun and with no wind it was quite warm.
4. Chat with a neighbour. She is working today - she works 2 days a week in retail. Has been in furlough for over a year and only went back for 1 day a week briefly.
5. Evening watching tv with a glass of wine.10 -
Belated birthday greetings Nargle, your day of self cosseting sounded just perfect x
Glad you are feeling better Ampersand.
Enjoy your family time Bala.
For yesterday,
Woke early as normal for me on a Sunday, the days of staying in bed until Mum called me for a roast lunch are very distant but happy memories ☺️ cup of tea and cuddles with small dog.
Catching up on all things Ambridge, at last Jazzer!
Washed the car and generally pottered around the garden.
Spent the afternoon reading, one of my fav series of books, Isabel Dalhousie by A McCall Smith.
We are enjoying the tv programme about Matt Baker on his family farm and wondering if we could fit a sheep or two in the garden 😉9 -
Good morning
Have a good trip Bala. Hope your brother settled well back at home.
Quite a thick frost this morning. Our magnolias are now a sorry sight. They've gone from covered in beautiful blossom to brown, shrivelled, scrumpled and unhappy looking.
We could go back to our caravan today but this week DH has a hospital appointment, and we both have our second vaccine booked so the caravan will have to wait until next week. Will be good to be back
DD spent a day feeling ill post vaccine and then she said ' Just like that I'm back to normal' as if someone had flicked a switch. So that's a relief.
The toys I attempted to drown yesterday have dried out and amazingly they are fine. Happily playing a tune and tooting as if nothing had happened. And they look cleaner too.
DH gone to meet his friend for an alfresco coffee so I'm enjoying being home alone. Much as I love him, it's sometimes nice to chill out by myself.
Msg from yoga teacher that classes restarting in May, DG. Really looking forward to that.
Happy 🌞 Monday

Hello.
Day two of workety work is done though I am going back in for a couple of hours shortly. We’ve new stock to sort out for when we can open in 2 weeks time. So had the hot shower but no jammies just yet! After a very frosty start looks like it’s been a lovely day.Pitiful tips but more money than I had in the jar this morning! It all adds up.Met OH friend when I was pulling into the driveway so had a good natter with him.
Lovely welcome from my doggy boy ( and my eldest daughter, youngest one was sleeping!) dog and daughter had a good run this morning apparently!9 -
1 My clearing out continues, today I’ve let go of inherited from DF books on Bonsai, not really our cup of tea. I looked up 2 of my previous work resource books on Microsoft resource toolkits over 800 pages each and a fair amount when it was new technologies now 1p and p and p, I am going to send them to CS’s as they take up room we need, they come with the e books on cd, so I have kept that, if I can find a CD player to test it on, how formats move on! I also found another folder all on DFs POA and banking all to be shredded I knew it was about somewhere. Also another about 20 books I don’t plan re reading. Getting there, it feels like slow progress but still progress and it notices. It will be 3 years since dad passed, and this I think is nearly the end of all the “stuff” still feels a bit emotional.
2 A bit cba for tea so all from the freezer its faggots, swede mash and peas, it lacked on presentation and was an obvious bing meal, but it was hot.
3 Checked on our online banking.
4 Woodpecker enjoying the bird food.

Purple kitten - we still have "stuff" from MIL which DH still wants to keep. It is hard to get rid of stuff at times.
1. A non working day so enjoyed myself. Had a lazy morning reading my book and found some tidying. There was a flurry of snow.
2. Finished planting some plug plants I had grown in last year. They were very cheap and the majority have survived and look healthy. I think they were 72 plants for £9.99.
3. Moved a bit of tree trunk to use as a seat in the cobnut tree part of the garden. DH happy with it so will make it more stable and move a couple more over for another seat and a shorter one for a table.
4. Chat with neighbour - her day at work went well.
5. Glass of wine in the garden in the evening reading my book.9 -
For yesterday,
There was snowfall overnight but blue skies and sunshine when I woke up so the grass was all sparkly.
De-iced car and headed into horsey town for food shop, bit busier with re-opening of other shops but not too bad.
Lunch and then over to the yard, gave my girlie a pamper session and had a good chat with fellow livery owner, we can be like ships passing at times but she’s lovely and it’s always nice to catch up.
Tea was a bit of a freezer use up, all veggie.
Missed our Monday quizzes but did watch the latest LOD.

Greetings from ICT (finally!!). Pleasures recently
1. ICT house generally got on ok without us - although there is a small issue with the boiler (for the uninitiated, ICT is a small town in West Wales where we have a home. It's not really a second home as we are frequently more here than anywhere in normal times but haven't been allowed to come during lockdown. ICT is short for "Ice Cream Town" - as designated by Frith - because the town makes a particularly delicious ice cream that you can only get here).
2. Walking by the sea
3. Visited the MiL on Sunday who seems to be OK - but the pleasure is going home to our wood burner as I was freeeeezing from being outside all day in Sun, Sleet, Snow, wind etc. MiL didn't seem to notice it was cold!
4. Have done a couple of shifts at the vaccination clinics as a volunteer. Interesting and pleased to do my bit. Hundreds of second doses delivered on Saturday
5. Caught up with all our programmes - keeping Faith, The Spy, LoD etc.
6. A barbecue at our friends' house last night - was ok when the sun was out (and they had lit a chimenea) but cold once the sun went. At which point we left!
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens11
