Good afternoon
Hello Mummy T - nice to meet you
S Sue - I hope you had lots of chocolate. You deserve it x
M hagster - please slow down. You make the rest of us look bad! I feel exhausted just reading what you do!
What a windy day! Was some snow lying first thing but that soon went. I think the wind must have stirred up some pollen. I can't stop sneezing, and have a very fetching bright red nose!I
DD and partner came round to bring one of the fold up bikes. They're to be kept at our caravan for whoever is there to use. I've not ridden a bike for about 20 years so I hope it's true that you never forget how! At least the prom is flat and traffic free!
Nothing happening here ( not that that's unusual) so I shall have a lazy afternoon.
Happy Easter Monday everyone.12 -
Good afternoon all, pleasures for yesterday...
The HT's partner had chocolate for breakfast. My best friend called on Saturday with eggs for them both and some dark chocolate for me. Partner is a bit of a chocaholic and was delighted with his haul.
I took the teens out for a walk. I drove them somewhere pretty (not far away, just down by the shore) and sat in the car while they went for a stroll.
The box of antique china models belonging to the late MrC was retrieved from a cupboard. I have looked at the contents and they will be going on ebay, a few at a time. A few memories in that box along with the china though.
I made a roast dinner. Yum.
I went to bed earlyish and read for a bit. I feel much better today for a longer sleep.
Take care all of you13 -
2 lovely ambling walks with Tiggy today. She tells me when I am going too fast. She likes to amble.
Listened/watched Andre Rieu today for the first time. The music swept me away. It's funny I have heard 'The lonely Shepherd' so many times in my life but never knew it's name. He is still on.....it's so so so lovely to see people smiling, dancing, enjoying themselves.
The whole experience has made my yearning for a different life more acute. Better get a move on.......

Hello. Sat in front of the fire , it is sooo cold outside! The most bitterly cold wind.So I slept the sleep of a very tired person , probably about 9 hours in a row ( unheard of for me) we had a tiny flurry of snow this morning before I went out.
Back to work this morning but didn’t have to start until 8am which was nice ( that’s actually my normal time but often I have extra catering so go in early to do that)
All was going well ...then it got crazy busy! Busiest day in weeks! Then a bit of next stage pre-planning after work. Home by 6pm
Tips...pfft more than yesterday but absolutely not relative to how busy we were!Went a big walk over the field with DD1 and doggy. Home and hot shower and jammies on!Girls had bought ice cream from our favourite ice cream parlour so just had that whilst sitting in front of the fire...oh the irony!
Tomorrow is definitely a work free day!12 -
1. Went for a cold walk round Sissinghurst gardens. A flurry of snow at one point. The cob nut platt area looked great with loads of spring flowers.
2. A little girl was convinced she could hear a bumble bee so could cross that of her sheet which was part of the Easter trail.
3. Bits for lunch and quick snooze when we got home.
4. Moved the fruit cage in the garden - neighbour helped as was too awkward for two of us too move. It only took a couple of minutes to move it.
5. Have some eggs to our new neighbour.11 -
Enjoy your rest Mhags.
For yesterday,
Cold day and we had sleet showers during breakfast.
Then the sun came out and we ventured into the garden, marked up a new flower bed using equine girlie’s old field posts and tape, knew they would come in handy at some point!
We ate main meal at lunchtime, baked spuds with a chilli topping, welcome after the cold work.
Listened to the footie then braved the cold again for a quick dog walk.
Watched latest LOD and then the UC final.11 -
Art'noon all.
Bitter cold here although bright enough. Reckon the washing will dry
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A lazy bath with Keeping Faith and my new jasmine bubble bar
2. Easter egg chocolate - we have just the one between us so it's rationed.
3. A walk and a catch up with friends and little dog. DD came! 😲
4. Went to the garden centre for a couple of shrubs to fill some gaps.
5. Sorted out an ancestry mystery - though it opened up another mystery.
Have a great day all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens10 -
Good afternoon
M hagster - Hope you're taking it easy.
Bright but cold wind. DS said he was snowed on yesterday evening when playing football. They're all so glad to be back in action, they just carried on playing!
My hair is getting silly now! It's not been cut since mid November. I do keep trimming the fringe so I can see where I'm going but daren't do anything else. I fear with my hairdressing skills the results would be more Boris than Nicola.. At least it's long enough to tie back now.
Up to date with Keeping Faith and Line of Duty. Up to date in the sense of have watched the episodes. Not necessarily up to speed with what's going on, but I'm sure all will become clear.
Supermarket trip today. Was busier than usual but not too bad. Bought a half price jumper as I've gradually been throwing out tatty ones but not replacing them. I'm nearly out of jumpers!
Despite the very cold wind, I think I'll have to go out and water the garden pots. The last few days of sun and wind have left them very dry.
Happy chilly day everyone
