Enjoyed the day.
1. Went to Wakehurst place. Our tickets were for 9.30 and it was busy with lots of family groups with grandparents. All seemed to be in groups of 6 or less. We walked through the wood areas and the primroses were superb.
2. DH got a phone call asking him to come earlier for his 2nd vaccine. Come any time they said. Off we went before we went home. It saved another trip out. Vaccine centre very well organised but very quiet. Seems a shame when do many people want the vaccine.
3. Home for a very quick tidy up and some lunch.
4. My parents came round to deliver Easter eggs and plants! I gave them a pot with hyacinth bulbs in and chocolate.
5. My parents came in the house briefly as was way too cold for them to be outside.
6. I planted the plants in the garden under the trees.
7. Relaxing evening with DH.10 -
& is remiss. Up on The Gallops in Town of Horse before something else, so quick pluckings as they come to mind.
1. Wonderful zoom time with Grayson Perry whose Iverson Institute Lecture, per Syracuse, NY, was actually done from his UK studio, so & felt even closer😃 Love Grayson and his works, since umpty years ago - have travelled to Liverpool, Victoria Miro, and further for things. It was a joyous, fantastic 90mins, inc. ?s - not available again sadly.
2. Another fabulous broadcast this morning, a must-listen on again right now. & heard it at 6 bells this morning -

Wind in rhe Willows, adapted by Alan Bennett.
3. 2 copies of Michael Rosen thanking the NHS and David Hockney's Hope of Spring both arrived via dear grauniad. & tries to support them.
4. All finished and all clear for last of 3 matters at Addenbrookes. Beyond grateful - yea, saying it again, LOUDLY🌈♥️🌹
5. Food Hub ready for The Off on Wednesday. & took the pic, not in it🙂.
Long day, much need met. Wonderful donation of a tableful of Easter eggs from a Town of Gown school.

Good evening
Very cold morning but then lovely sunny afternoon.
Went to visit DD and admire her garden. Got all wrapped up but in the sun in her south facing garden it was almost hot. Had to take my coat off.
Caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror while getting dressed and was reminded of Mrs Doubtfire's fat suit. Diet Starts Monday! (DSM)
Despite that, made a chocolate cake!! A fool to myself!!
Chicken tikka for tea. Added lots of veg to counteract the cake!
Happy evening everyone

Happycas, as long as there is chocolate cake, all is okay, you may have guessed my all-time favourite. I've done battle with weight all of my life. I'm trying to learn to be happy with the current, I have literally always been aiming for a size less or stone less no matter what.
1 Dug out 2 easter eggs purchased last year in the sale, they will last till tomorrow, thou there are more than 2.
2 Food was used up things for lunch, oven pizza for tea, and a snack of nachos which was delicious.
3 Did a little gardening and fed the fish.
4 Re stocked the bird feeders.
5 I did a bit more clearing, old fleeces that have been pet bedding now and a big bag of books to move onto a new home, but I still need to clear more books.

Well Happy Easter one and all at 2.45am...just getting to head back out to work! Oooft! See you all in 15 hours or so!Rudely awakened by the alarm clock this morning! However yesterday was a beautiful day. Started with a 3am doggy walk on frosty grass and finished with a beautiful sunset. And lots of bits in between that wasn’t all work.A 3.30am start.
Much sunshine.
The niecelys came to visit and we had lovely lunch/tea in the garden ( whatever a meal is called at 3.30!) inaugurating the new table and chairs. Did an egg hunt and a DD1 was found ( they didn’t know she was coming!) so much laughter and fun with the clues! Then later friend and her daughter came and ate what was left and sat in the fading sun with them. Much chatter and laughter which is always good. And I do love putting on a spread. It’s been a while ( well since I’ve done it for me and not work)DD1 and I took GN and The Baby who’s nearly two( so The Toddler ) to the play park in our wee estate. GN said I’m warning you now he will not want to leave...he didn’t! But DD1 ran after him as I sat on the bench and enjoyed watching them play, the gorgeous blue of the sky and the pink of a tree blossom.Right. I’m off to get ready for starting in half an hour! Ooooft!Happy Easter, have a lovely day. 🐣🌸11 -
Mhagster very early start. Hope day or work is enjoyable.
1. Sent a parcel off-no queue in the post office so was very quick and was home by 9.10.
2. Long chat with a friend on the phone.
3. Both sons and girlfriends came round and we sat in the garden for a couple of hours with wine and food. It was very cold!
First time DS1 girlfriend had met DS2 and his girlfriend and everyone got on well together which is great. Lots of laughter.
4. A warm house when we came in.
5. Watched A beautiful mind. Enjoyed it.

For yesterday,
Quick visit to horsey town vets as small dog had run out of medication, also picked up a bag of Speedibeet from town feed store, smiled as my mini parked in between several big pick up trucks from the various studs, got chatting in queue and one had had five foals born overnight! He looked tired but happy.
Bit of work done in garden, clearing under the hedges.
Warm sausage rolls for lunch then over to see girlie, dropped a basket of Easter treats off for yard owner and her team.
My Easter daffs on the dining room table.
Sunset and the deer were back in the field.

Yesterday's pleasures....
My long-haired ginger puddy tat snuggling next to me as I had my morning tea.
Dog running around park with her friend the black cocker spaniel.
A section of the park which used to be the site of the park keeper's bungalow is now a wild area, but you can still see the boundary of the garden from the mass of daffodils and forsythia in full bloom. Gorgeous,
Special Easter lunch as son is out with girlfriend today, Lamb keg steaks, sautéed potatoes, peas with spinach, broccoli. Home made white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Bit of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Coffee and a smidge of Easter chocolate. Lovely.
Cherry blossom now bursting forth on trees on the estate. A shame that it disappears with the first strong gust of wind.
Practising Online Choir songs, good for the soul.
Half an hour spent in hanging chair in the garden, in the sunshine.
Watching a good French film on Netflix, Nothing To Hide.
Clean linen on the bed.One life - your life - live it!9 -
Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
Work day - everything was OK
A walk along the shore in the sunshine as part of my work day
Easy dinner of pizza for the HT and partner
Stopped on the way home from dropping off my looked after person and bought a couple of small bottles of cider, yum
Early to bed because I was tired. It's been that kind of week.
Take care all of you8 -
I had such a wonderful walk with Tiggy yesterday.
Am re-thinking whether to have her eyelashes (the ones growing over her eye) fixed/cauterised etc. I don't mind lubricating her eye 3 times a day but I wonder, if it takes a long length of time to grow back, is it worth releaving her of this condition. The cataracts I can do nothing about. It's a private operation and costs about 7 thousand pounds. My vet in attempt to be funny (he was) said 'don't worry, she doesn't drive, she doesn't read.........'. I should have said 'How do you know ?'........tee-hee
Have a lovely Easter Sunday
