Hello. Tis ever so windy here. But has been a dry day. Think we were about 12o again.Slept the whole night, a very rare occurrence. On the quick morning walk the sun was rising like a huge orange ball in the sky. Just stunning.Bed stripped and remade! Well done me! I hate coming upstairs at bedtime and it’s not been done. My bathroom cleaned.Went down to allotment with DD2 and doggy, one bed all weeded. Other bed I pruned the raspberry canes and sighed deeply at the amount of strawberry runners everywhere! A job for another day! Dog had the best time ever. A dook in the pond and a good run around. Then up to mums and did bits and pieces there. She did say thank you today. Then round to boss to do planning/ordering for this coming weekend.Home and hoovered upstairs and downstairs. Still to wash floors.
DD2 and I hung our garden bunting/solar lights! They are currently blowing in the breeze!A couple of short doggy walks.Potted some seeds/seedlings. Way too cold to put anything outside yet...snow forecast for next week and big frosts!Put up one (of six) trellis. Painted it but was rather fed up by this time. Anyway a clematis planted and it will hopefully grow to be beautiful 🌸
Birthday card from my son ( better late than never and at least he did phone) the postie must have had to use a magnifying glass as his writing was so tiny!DD1 called me this morning to say she’d ran 10km for the first time. Well done her.A good day.11 -
1 Met with brother in law and sister in law in a local park, walked, picnicked and yes we were the weird people walking a ferret – I’m used to it by now.
2 Back to ours where we literally sat in garden chairs in the front drive to stay legal and bought out coffees.
3 It was so nice to walk and talk after all of this time for us literally the first time in over a year now.
4 Arranged to send a lovely bunch of tulips with the bulbs on so they can be planted when finished, helped by a voucher to say we are thinking of you to someone.
5 And as if by karma, I wanted to support our vets charity so entered the raffle just to support it and we’ve won a hamper.

1. A days holiday as had leave to use up. Always good.
2. Walked to the post box and met a couple of people I hadn't seen in years. Long chat with them. Met them in a sunny part of the road.
3. Watched the boat and sheep in the field.
4. House much cleaner. Didn't take too long either.
5. Lunch in the garden and then some gardening.
6. Glass of wine in the garden with DH before we ate. Making the most of the warm weather.10 -

Recent pleasures:
Walk with friend in the warmth on Tuesday. As usual local lake is always a pleasure 😊
Back to mine for lunch in the garden in the sunshine ☀️ My mirror was admired, thanks for your comments too 😊
Duck pancakes to celebrate first lunch in the garden together for I don’t know how long. Glass of wine 🍷 with it too.
Yesterday I had my long awaited vaccination, it was delayed because of past anaphylaxis so had to have it at a hospital, I’m relieved to report that all’s well, I’m just very tired 😊
OH and I went to the river on the way home for a bacon roll brunch and a quick stroll to the weir.
Have a great Thursday everyone 😘

For yesterday,
Early visit to emporium to pick up a few bits ahead of long weekend.
Packed away and then out to feed store, now allowed in so admired the owner’s spaniel behind till, picked up two big bags of chaff plus a net of carrots on way home, thank goodness for seats that fold down!
Dropped feed off at yard, girlie had the day off after the previous days treatment so just visited in field for cuddles and carrots.
Read in the garden for a while, weather was weird, cloudy but warm, almost humid.
Capt S had been out to a meeting onsite and came home with some Mr Sparks chocolate hot x buns.11 -
Morning all - seem to have been awol for a few days. No reason just hadn't got around to posting. Hope Frith is OK.
Pleasures for the last few
1. Warm glorious sunshine. I was not born for British winters so it was much needed.
2. communications with a previously unknown second cousin who has some answers about one branch of my family.
3. walks with a friend and OH.
4. Had my stitches out and the wound is virtually invisible. Although there is a tiny thread remaining that i am not sure how they'll get out.
5. Finished my book "the Mitford Girls" - fascinating lives
6. my magnolia tree is in flower
7. eating proper foods again.
8. Working on my paper
Hope everyone has a great dayI wanna be in the room where it happens10 -

'ear !.....whas 'appened to House Elf ?..............hope she's okay........
Right then. Tiggy at my favourite vet yesterday. Lumps, nothing to worry about. Eye ulcer cleared by yours truly using medication I bought without hefty price tag, off animal medication site. The one she had last year cost me 200-300 pounds. This one about 20 !
In tending to her eye I noticed that she has lashes growing down over her eye. You can only see them at a certain angle in a certain light. The possible ministrations, burning them, cutting them out are not a mend-all and may need to be repeated. So it's eye lubrication daily for the rest of her life. That's okay as I am rich enough to afford that.....and won't have to sell myself !tee-hee.......
Brother has gone a little wobbly about going home. Told him he doesn't HAVE to go. He was okay after that. He wants to go really......I am going to miss him so much. He was part of what got me through this winter, and here, and all of you.......
Heart singing with delight.....spring blossom, flowers, little wee birds.....the list is long.
Hope you are all well....
toodle-pip me lovelies....

Hello. Been a day that was dry . Don’t need hot just dry ! Just as well I don’t need hot as it was anything but! Such a cold wind! Though the sun came out in the afternoon.Again another full nights sleep.Out with doggy first thing. Just us and the birds.Went to Lidl , which is away the other side of town and the last time I went was way too busy and that totally put me off, however I had a £5 off voucher and the niecelys are coming to sit in the garden for an Easter feast on Saturday so it’s a lot cheaper than where I normally go. Got a few things RTC too. And a nice chap let me out the very awkward road junction when leaving!Out in the garden pottering. Put up trellis and painted it .Waaaah what a horrid job! And it schooked up all the paint and pretended it hadn’t been touched! Those done have a little climbing plant planted that will hopefully climb up the trellis and be pretty. But was such a cold wind.Had to go to mums as someone was coming round but met friend on way round and had a lovely chat with her then had to rush!Had some RTC couscous, RTC salad and RTC sausages for my tea.Just been chatting to neighbours across road for ages ...that’s me and my bins again! Meet all sorts!Quick doggy walk there as the sun was setting.11
