Wishing Mhags a very Happy Birthday, enjoy your day ๐๐ฅX
Good for you Bala.
For yesterday,
Woke up at same time although technically an hour earlier, a deer was in the field when I opened the living room curtains.
Stayed in my PJโs to listen to the Archers then a long soak in the tub with John Rebus.
Our hedge cuttings appear to have survived the winter and are putting on good growth, too small to plant out yet but we hope to fill gaps where some elderflower has been removed.
With the weather set fair for the coming few days and slight change in restrictions making arrangements for garden socialising.
Lighter evenings, yay!, walk with beloved and small dog then home for tea and toast.11 -

Hello there
Happy birthday Mhags
A beautiful day. Opened lots of windows to let the spring-fresh air blow through the house.
Trip to Sainsbury's. Went early so not busy. This week's no show was peppers. Not a one to be had, of any colour! Don't think they'll come via the Suez canal?
DH has brought out the garden furniture and tidied round a bit. Might sit out there with my coffee after this. Too good to be inside.
Freezer leftovers for tea. Chilli. There's always chill in our freezer!

Yesterday's pleasures -ย
Up early to drop dog off at beauty salon. She goes to a college where students on the dog grooming course work on dogs under tutor supervision. All for free, but I always give a ยฃ20 donation as it would cost me three times as much if I took her to a professional dog salon.
Getting used to my coffee being black, I've lost five pounds in weight and two inches off my waist in a fortnight.
Going round the house changing clocks, winding them up or replacing batteries. BST starts here.
Collecting my freshly-coiffeured doggy from the college. She looked and smelled gorgeous. You wait, next time we go walkies she'll be frantically searching for a pile of !!!!!! to roll in.
Four hours in the afternoon spent totally rearranging the dining room, shifting furniture round, decluttering. Aching at the end of it, but it looks so much more spacious. One life - your life - live it!11 -
Hello. Thank you for birthday wishes. Iโve had a lovely day.
Doggy wanting out for a wee at 2am woke me up ( with a really? itโs far too early to be up and of course then ย I was wide awake. ) watched a bit of Line of Duty then must have dozed off as alarm went off at 5am with an oooft! Had a bit of a moment to myself as I donโt have a lovely husband to whisper happy birthday to me anymore. We always spent the day together. So was a bit sad about that then decided to be happy and have been happy the rest of the day ( which is of course what he would want)ย
Very soggy doggy walk first thing. Yuk.ยIn at work for 7.30am. Had a lovely day considering I was at work. Made the most of it! Good company and much laughter and chatter. Was given beautiful flowers. Two lots, then at the end of shift boss popped in with a lovely birthday cake for me. I may have cried happy tears as no-one has ever given me a cake before, Iโve always made my own.ยExcellent tips in comparison to yesterday!ยHome and DD2 had the fairy lights on, candles on , had set the table beautifully. She ordered take away. Sheโd also bought a little cake. With beautiful flowers too and a box of Maltesers which is all Iโd asked for!ยFriend popped over with more lovely flowers. Shared cake and maltesers with her!ยIโve lost the stone Iโd put on in lockdown mark one. So will be back to my Lenten no sugary things tomorrow. Honestly it tastes too sweet and sickly now.ยHave had so many lovely birthday messages today hopefully have managed to acknowledge them all as my phone just kept pinging all day at work.ยGot a lovely video from Great Nephew singing Happy birthday. Heโs such a gorgeous boy (2 1/2 years)ย
Lovely chat with DD1 and with DS...the former more chattier than the latter but he did phone!ยI donโt have an early start tomorrow ( do you hear that doggy we donโt need to be up! ) and forecast is dry so it will be fence painting for me tomorrow! Cant be all flowers and cakes every day!ยย9 -
Happy belated birthday Mhagster.
1. My requested change back to my normal working pattern has been agreed. It was said that always been going to be changed from April -ย I can't be seen to influence anything!
2. Went for a walk at lunchtime. Needed to get out of the department. It was warm and sunny.
3. Long chat with neighbour.ย
4. Watered the plants that were planted over the weekend. The extra hour of light in the evening is great.
5. Roast chicken for tea.ย9 -
Mhags it sounds as if you had a lovely day.ย On my 30th a friend made me a birthday cake and many many moons later it is still one of the most memorable and appreciated of gifts.ย 10 years later on my 40th she had her class of wee little ones sing me happy birthday on the phone.ย Again a treasured gift/memory.ย She knew me well.
A lovely walk with Tiggy and my brother yesterday.ย A win.ย It was a beautiful day.
gosh......getting a little worried about Cranky and Frith......hope both are okay.ย And what's happened to Oooooley....?
have a lovely day all......

Morning everyone ๐
I enjoyed the sunshine yesterday with a walk around our local Abbey grounds.
Came home and finished off OHโs chocolate birthday cake with chocolate buttercream and chocolate eggs, it was very chocolatey ๐คฃ
He liked his presents of a record deck, booze and sweet things.
We put up my lovely mirror in the garden (a belated Christmas/birthday gift).
We had one of OHโs favourite dinners: chicken fajitas followed by tiramisu, diet has gone to pot again!
Enjoy the sunshine โ๏ธ9
