Bala, the person you asked after....the same has happened again. Someone clearly has a vendetta against that individual. Sad gits who should get a life.
Looking forward to a day of pleasures as the temperature is forecast to hit 19 today, lovely! One life - your life - live it!9 -
Love the mirror Paulie.
For yesterday,
Made the most of a small run of warm, sunny days by spending most of it outside.
The morning with my girlie including a while spent with in her paddock, sitting on my bucket just watching her graze, it was good to just be still and listen.
Feta and rocket wrap for lunch.
Out to next village with parcel to post, big queue as small village shop and only two allowed in at a time, an old chap on a mobility scooter joined behind me so I offered him my place but he declined saying that standing wasn’t a problem, it was the walking that did him in!
Sat in the garden with my book and a cup of tea.10 -
Thanks Nargle......
lovely mirror Paulie.....
Lainey, I will always envy you.........in a nice way........

My oh my what a wonderful day l
Paulie - I love that mirror
Nargle - wonder who our favourite reprobate has upset now!
Asked next door neighbour if she'd like to join me in the garden for coffee - just cos we can. We've been neighbours for the best part of 50 years but barely seen each other for the last 12 months so quite a bit of catching up to do.
Spent some time this afternoon pottering in the garden. There's not a lot to do but it was too nice to stay inside.
I've bought some iron off pens from the usual online place. I only want one but they came as a dozen so will outlast me! A real game changer though. Draw round your pattern on the material, sew it up then iron and the ink vanishes. It's magic!
Cod loins and curried oven veg with chickpeas for tea. A favourite.
Last one of Unforgotten tonight. It's been good as always.
Happy glorious day everyone11 -
I'm ok thanks Bala. I'm helping friends sort something out so my life is a bit like groundhog day just now. Nothing much to report is good though. I'm happy with a quiet life. My dad's funeral is the 7th of April but thanks to travel restrictions we're not going. My dad who was a Money Saving Expert in his own right would be delighted with the money that we're saving by staying home. His ashes will be coming up here next year once my sister can travel from Ireland again. We'll do something to mark the occasion when that happens.
Happy belated birthday Mhags. I hope that you have a lovely day.
It may be as well not to guess if anyone new on this thread has been known to us as a previous incarnation. Someone is clearly watching.....😒
Take care all of you11 -
You take care too Cranky. You have just been through operation. Am so sorry for your loss.
Warm hug

Hello. Patio doors open and listening to the birds singing. It’s been a dry day here. Overcast and top temp of about 12o ( none of your top temps for March in a zillion years here!) but tadah...the fencing as much as you can see is done! Need to give the raised beds another coat but than can be a tomorrow job. Still right down the side paths on both sides to be done but they’re not seen so no mad rush.
And that’s about all I’ve done other than walk the doggy. When I say that’s all it was quite a lot to do in a day for me. But I’m glad it’s done.Just had leftovers from last night for my tea. DD2 still at work.Saw forsythia in bloom and clematis in bud on our walk and bees and butterflies.Nice chat to neighbours earlier on ( you know when I was out at the bins, their puppy just seems to have sprouted)10 -
1. Work was reasonable. Certain people weren't there.
2. Saw a mix of people at work and all were worth seeing .
3. DS1 came round for tea which we had in the garden with the firepit.
It was good to see and talk with him.
4. Listening to the birds at dusk. They were very noisy.
5. Relaxing9 -
Take care Cranky.
For yesterday,
Another warm, sunny day so lots of washing was dried on the line.
Nice enough for just jeans and a tee at the stables. My equine girlie was seeing a chiropractor but pleased to say that, apart from a bit of tightness in her neck & shoulders, no major problems to report. Cant say the same for her Mum, the trot up and standing with her for nearly an hour was tough on my knee.
Lunch in the garden.
Having a visitor, a dear friend came for a beer and a catch up, again in the garden, we talked until the sun went down, so good to see him.
Started a new book, the prequel to Pillars of the Earth, good stuff so the bedside lamp didnt get switched off until nearly midnight.11 -
An even better day today. Making the most of it.
S Sue I hope you're managing to enjoy some of the weather, and that life is still peaceful for you both
Bubble friend came for coffee so we sat outside in the wonderful sunshine. Unfortunately our neighbour had decided it was a good time to mow his lawn. He couldn't see us there so I know he wasn't doing it to be annoying, ( he's not that sort of person) but, oh, how long does it take to cut one little lawn?! But we still enjoyed the sunshine and the fresh air.
Am reading the latest book in the Chocolat series. I love her style of writing. In fact I think I may go back to the beginning and read them all again.
Watched the last Unforgotten. Didn't see that coming. It is a good series though.
Happy very beautiful 🌞 day everyone
