Lainey my model of car is the sporty version. I was rather surprised when he said it’s a common problem in Jaguars and Mercedes. I never chose the car for it’s sporting prowess, it takes me to work, the supermarket and maybe the allotment at a top speed of 30MPH. I don’t know much about mechanical side of cars ( had a husband for that) and any odd noises I just turn up the radio volume until I’m suitably nagged from above...like a wee voice telling me for goodness sake, get that looked at!The chaps pulled it off with their bare hands as it was literally just held in by a whisker of metal hence the vibrating rattle underneath.Sue hoping for constant comfort for your husband, being pain free makes the biggest difference. Take care. I love magnolia so how beautiful it flowered this year. Take care x
Narglemeister enjoy your days off!14 -
How much of this was before, I cannot possibly say can I!
Thoughts and things to those that have bumped!
Had the second helping of the mushroom stroganoff last night with boiled rice. Very tasty again and I this has now been perfected like the chicken tikka!
Watched University Challenge last night, and some Chips again!
Had favourite breakfast this morning of Honey Monster and ice-cold milk. Was with a mug of tea. Mug of tea coming up soon with two seal bars today!
Prepped the walls for touching up with paint, need some bits for the en-suite bathroom. Change the bits on the gate hook, after Screwfix managed to get the proper screws! Got a packet of 200, though only needed a dozen for £2.70, when the diy place sells 10 for £5. Checkout the deals, you cannot be too careful.
Checked my utility things on uswitch and for the fourth month on the trot, no deals are cheaper than the one I am on!
Must get on as I need to get my tootsies washed!
More soon!

Evening all.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A quiet day after the night before. Woke up quite late so that was good.
2. Read my book
3. Watched more "The Last Kingdom"
4. Went for a gentle walk
5. Lots of soup. And a crumble
And today
1. A walk with a friend and her little dog. She lost her dad a few weeks ago and was rather fragile after the funeral last week.
2. Warm sunshine
3. A little more work on my paper
4. Gin!
5. An omelette for lunch (which was an effort but nice) and some fish, mash and veg mash for tea ...
Have a nice evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
A very quiet day here ( after a very early wake up as doggy needed out at 2am...then had a mad barking fit at 2.25am. He obviously saw something in back garden I just went round checking doors which are always triple checked before I go to bed anyway. Think it must have been a cat)
so not really done much. Walked a doggy over the fields. Hung a washing up inside as it’s been raining on and off and watched some TV .13 -
Olé Oole -
I'd say we all guessed straight orf😁🤭.
Vjm - please take whatever medicinal gin isn't prescribed and proscribed.😉 Take care.
Suffolk Sue - as one with other comments here, for your husband and your magnolia.
Frith - are no relevant or effectively funded advice resources left now? You are not a young 6'3" man, regardless of anything else.

1. CUBG yesterday - glorious. It's blossom time. So beautiful and restoring, apart from everything else.
2. Could add umpty more pics - duck nonsense, gnarly trunks, a wonderful pink magnolia - well named 'Diva', soft water, green bud life everywhere, crocus clusters in ridiculous unfit places. Then took a good 2½ mile walk back to car.
3. Good r.l. midweek Communion today, then a silly sunshower as vicar and & distantly chatted, which was lovely. There's a butterfly who's fluttered by during these resumed services and it did again today. So good.
4. Rugby Club resumption - all sorts of likelies/might be's and wotnots. Much anticipated pleasure, starting with free cake and cuppa's this weekend. & still has what can be yet another late crimbo cake+rumtopf fundraiser, as normally. Ordered an edible trailing peacock cake topper for this one today🦚. We'll see how that goes.🙄 Don't wreck it, &. Worst news is that a certain Mister Barnes🤬is tomorrow night's France v. Scotland referee😖.
5. So much enjoying 'Raffles' and Geoffrey Household's remarkable, prescient 1938 novel, 'Rogue Male' on R4x. Finishes tomorrow. His writing is stunning, as is Michael Jayston's unabridged reading.
& remembers handsome, dark-haired Michael Jayston from decades ago.😃
Not sure where Hurrchhrrs is going atm. Working hardy-hard-too-hard at lockdown relevance. Cramming in the new mother+alcoholism+prem.birth everything, along with parish council, rewilding and annoying, nosy, overweight Susan's exercising etc.etc...... Stuffing it all in an episode to catch up?.... no thanks.

In open ground, eelworm gets them every year.

Good to hear from you SSue, never far from our thoughts.
Ouchy VJ, NHS and your DH are wonderful.
For the past few days
1 I hoovered the whole house, and then vaxed everywhere.
2 While waiting for things to dry out I got the garden chairs out and washed them down, while DH took down an old broken trellis, and made a new one of things we have laying around. Red tulips have started to appear in their pots.
3 Weekend leftovers gathered up into a bowl I added a shallot, garlic and grated courgette to create a meal with red lentil pasta, it seems to be working clothes are fitting better - fingers crossed.
4 All the animal areas cleaned, and clean bedding and wash loads.
5 Worked on a few job applications.
Today
1 Bird feeders re filled and checked on nesting points, i.e. teapot and palm tree.
2 Spent the day mainly jet washing all around the back garden patio, side bits and anything that needed it, I’m shattered.
3 Sent a letter off asking if we might be able to get a permanent pitch at our favourite camp site, as who knows without at least asking.
4 Washed the grit from my hair and changed into clean clothes to feel clean at least.
5 Just ordered in and it was lovely as always.

1. Work happened - wrote email to manager and line manager. Should get a response on Monday.
2. A colleague heard news which, hopefully, helps in her coming into work for a second day. It's been agreed and then rejected so many times.
3. Picked more daffodils from the garden.
4. Enjoying the light evenings and this will be better in Sunday.
5. Text messages with a friend.13 -
For yesterday,
Fun in the sun with my pony, I had built a little course of jumps & obstacles with poles and did it with her in-hand, although most of the time she was off the lead rope and just following me. We both got some exercise and it was different enough to get her horsey brain engaged and interested.
Tasty lunch of LO salmon and avocado salad.
Bit of time spent in the garden until heavy rain sent me indoors, I am very much a fair weather gardener.
Couple of hours reading my new book, the first ever Rebus novel, set in the 80’s and so retro.
Caught up with Only Connect and we got quite a few questions right, just as the series is coming to an end.

Dot Balls and All!
Sort off knew did we? I know nothing! & what could I possibly say! Something gives me a buzz you know!
Watched the football l;ast night until it was going to be too easy, and then the WI cricket. I had some fizz water and cheese. Our cat also had some nibbles, but we are out of nibble sticks!
Had flipping pancakes last night for tea, served with ice cream, blackberries and strwberries. Mrs Oole used the scoop as a shovel to get the ice cream. Our cat detected how good the food was and like marmite, soon cleaned the plates!
Had to nip out to Screwfix as my sander for the walls of thirty years was ripping the papers. New one purchased! No to do it today! Yesterday I gave up to do the fence and shed and changed about 11 when it was murky! Asa soon as I was refreshed, out comes the sun! Now I has put that off until Tuesday!
Now I has my mug of tea and watching the cricket. I vae two seal bars as well today!
Later I have selected a two night opera on the Met App on the TV, I have run out of flims at the moment! Pizza from the ALDI will be eated! Ham and Mushroom! Must also do the chicken tikka for tomorrow!
Chicken Tikka.
Two chicken breasts.
Normal size pot of Natural Yogurt. Add termeric, chilli, coriander, mint, ginger and tomato puree to the yogurt and whisk in a bowl. Squeeze a large lemon and add thios, whisk quickly so it does not curdle. Add cubed chicken breasts. Marinate in the refrigerator and then put onto three skewers.
Cook on the BBQ lightly fgor 35 minutes, or under a medium grill if it is wet! Add other bits to some rice and salsa such as onions and mushrooms or whatever is in the refrigerator!
Serve with some fizz waters!
Moor again soon! Keep mum!10
