Hmmm Oole do I smell Pirate?Hello, just had a big downpour of hail and rain but thankfully I’m sat in front of a roaring fire and not out in it.
Busy start to the day.No work. But a 6am awakening by a hungry doggy...his body clock obviously used to being fed an hour before that. Came back to bed and caught up on some telly watching.
Went to supermarket I don’t normally go to as it’s just too busy for me but wanted some plants and they sell plants. Garden centres not reopening until 5th April in Scotland. DD1 had sent me money for a Mother’s Day so I spent that on ranunculus and clematis and jasmine. Also bought petrol. Tank refilled. Then over to car garage to see if they could see what was making the rattling noise. That would be the heat shield hanging by a thread. Removed with no charge. Nice chaps. Then vets for doggy meds. Prices have increased. Saw a rabbit running down the street but did check and it hadn’t escaped from vets. ( had also seen a rat running across main road as I was driving to supermarket earlier)
Very briefly in to hang out washing, then walked round to mums. Was warm in sun, not so warm as the clouds frequently scudded over. Changed her bedding ( she has the heaviest quilt I have ever encountered ) hoovered, made a phone call on her behalf and got a ball rolling. Did medication for the next two weeks. Walked home and enjoyed the spring gardens and the birds. Then come in doggy let’s go for a walk over the fields.Back in and a bit of a potter around the garden didn’t paint as rain was forecast.Put the fire on and may have had a snoozette.VJSMUM hope you feel better soon14 -

On Tuesday we HAD to do supermarket shop. Miraculously my brother wanted to come. Only second time since he has been here. So Tiggy was left alone for about 2 hours. Very rare occurance.
When we came home I let my brother and OH go in ahead of me. I sat on the wall and watched. Her eyesight is shot to pieces. Only 10 feet away from her I don't think she saw me. But her nose went up....she sniffed my brother and OH, clearly wasn't satisfied so frantically carried on sniffing until she caught a whiff of me.
The rest is history. Only then did she step over the thresh hold....and go absolutely potty with excitement. Joy, joy, joy......for both of us.
This equates to an abundance of pleasures.

Pleasures for the last 2 days:
Walks: first one with my friend, a long one to a lake for heron spotting. Thought it wouldn’t be muddy so I wore my trainers 👟, it was very muddy!
We did spot some herons, it’s a place where they nest so we shall be going back in a few weeks.
Lunch on a bench by the river, chilly but sunny ☀️.
Yesterday I met my sister at another part of the river and we walked to the nature reserve.
Lovely cottages by the river. I wore my boots 🥾 but it wasn’t muddy!!
Lunch sitting on another bench.
Walking and lunch on 3 consecutive days 😊
Have a good Thursday 😘
Welcome back to the pirate 🏴☠️

VJsmum hope you recover soon.
Suffolksue thinking of you as always. How lovely for the magnolia tree to flower now.
1. Work at a different site so was ok apart from my back!
I sent an email to my union rep to see if she can help me return to my normal working pattern. I'm tired of having to fight to work with as little pain as possible. The pleasure is that I am doing something positive.
2. Free lunch and we found where free jacket potatoes are. Makes a pleasant change to sandwiches.
3. Arranged with both sons forgotten and their girlfriends to come over on Easter Saturday. We will all be allowed in the garden then and may have a bbq.
4. Walking round the garden when I came home from work. It's amazing the varieties of daffodils there are. I buy the big, cheap bags of mixed daffodils and plant under the trees.
5. Enjoyed tea it's amazing what marinating chicken does to the taste.12 -
Ouchie VJSMum, hope it’s not too painful.
Heat Shield Mhags? just how fast does your car go! 🤣
Thinking of you SSue.
Aww, Tiggy is so cute Bala.
For yesterday,
Made a pan of chicken & ginger soup from the remains of weekend chook.
The madness of the previous days desire to clean had thankfully worn off so skipped off to play ponies in the sun ☺️Long chat with my bf, we still can’t meet up in person as she lives nearly an hour away but are seriously thinking about next week when things, fingers crossed, are relaxed a bit.
Had a go at trimming my hair, I do have an appointment in just 3 weeks time but it’s so thick, hopefully my hairdresser won’t be too horrified!
Watched Kirstie & Phil and experienced serious pantry envy, maybe if I decluttered the understairs cupboard 🤔12 -
Hello SuffolkSue, nice to hear DH is comfortable. Obviously the syringe driver means things have moved on a stage, but he's free from pain, and getting pleasure from seeing the magnolia blossom is a bonus. Hope the coming days are sunny, to add to his pleasures.
Oole can't hide from the Narglemeister, outed at first post. It's just your magnificent personality shines through.
My pleasures yesterday....
First of seven days off, having had some busy work days.
Catching sight of a couple of miniature daffodils in the front garden.
Stocking up on fresh fruit and veg from the weekly van. Son has bought himself a bullet-style blender and has got the smoothie habit. Proper foods and good for you.
Had a nice drive to supermarket and picked up some bits to finish off a couple of birthday presents. A gorgeous gift bag for friend tomorrow, pretty tissue-wrapped goodies inside and some bright yellow fake gerberas sticking out the top. A parcel ready to post for grandson's 13th next week. A book and a couple of tee shirts. Because every teenage boy needs a couple of loud and tacky tee shirts.
Checked a replay of choir rehearsal missed due to work. We have four fantastic songs lined up for next term, can't wait!
Enjoying my nice clean, fresh house which had a professional top to bottom clean last weekend.
Getting used to black coffee - I am reducing my saturated fat consumption because my cholesterol has gone up. Not surprising, my weight has increased over the past year. In less than a week I have lost four pounds in weight and an inch off my waist, just by being more mindful of what I eat.One life - your life - live it!12
