Very early Mhags! hope boy dog feels better soon.
Your poor friends PK, so much of it about.
For yesterday,
Had a lie-in then a leisurely breakfast of boiled egg & soldiers.
Quiet day at home, just pottering about, sunshine at times, hailstones at times.
Went with Capt S when he had his first dose, he was in and out so quickly as I drove home.
United came back from 2 nil down in first 10 minutes to win 2-4.
A real treat of takeaway tea, I had Satay chicken & veg in peanut sauce, goodness it was good.11 -
A good day but very quiet
1. Seeing the garden coming to life. The blossom is almost out on the trees and the spring bulbs are looking lively. The wild garlic has started to appear too. Spring is nearly here.
2. Chat with my neighbour. She has had a hard week with various things.
3. Watched rugby.
4. Washing dried on the line. Managed to bring it in before the hail.
5. Reading my book.10 -
Morning all
Recent pleasures:
Dentist done, filling, back in 2 weeks for gum specialist consultation! ☹️
Few lazy days indoors while wind howled outside.
Booked a cottage in Suffolk for a week in early July 😊😊
Curry delivered for our Friday night takeaway - was delicious 😋
Hospital phoned yesterday evening, looks like I will be able to have my jab there, will call next week to arrange appointment.
Roast pork dinner last night so OH can have a few glasses of 🍷 with it, I didn’t say no either 😊
Have a super Sunday everyone. Happy mother’s day 💐 to all the mums, will see if my son remembers 😊10 -
Oh P.K , my heartfelt sorrow for your friends.
Marinaded some rtc rump steak in olive oil, garlic, black pepper. OH fed it to Tiggy. Her eyelids red and puffy, she couldn't stop rubbing them. Luckily I am treating her eyes at the moment so had something to soothe them. Better this morning.
Still not feeling well, 3rd blood test tomorrow. Thank you NHS.
Still haven't opened laptop. Not settled enough. But my brother and I have that to look forward to. Perhaps today.
No hot water. Was working fine when engineer left. Enough said.
It's so sunny at the moment. More washing today methinks.
Looking forward to a productive day.
toodle-pip me lovelies.

Flipping heck, Mhags, that is the time i would come in years ago!
Bala - bummer with regard to the hot water.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A walk in the park with my friend - ALL the weather.
2. Watched the rugby - Cymru am byth
3. Reading my book - The Mitford Girls
4. Lasagne for tea - with wine
5. A vigil for Sarah Everardon the road, with my candle 🕯. My 'over the road' neighbour was out so we had a chat until the wind blew my candle out.
I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
Mhagster - I wish I had a quarter of your energy! Not only up at silly o'clock but constantly on the go. You put me to shame! ( I am undoubtedly much older but don't think I ever did that much, even in my heyday!)
Bala - well that didn't last long ( hot water)!I
S Sue - still here. Still thinking of you. Still sending hugs x
Lovely mother's day gifts. Both DD and DS each gave me a lovely basket of plants. One has primulas and tiny pinks, one has an azalea and ferns. Both are beautiful and there'll be lots to plant out in the garden for next year. I'm so lucky.
Finished watching Hinterland. Second time of watching but one benefit of a poor memory means two years later we have forgotten most of it and can watch it again!
It was sunny earlier, but that's gone and there's a cold wind too. Not too bad for March I suppose.
Happy Sunday everyone

Hello! Well the busy working weekend is all done ( though not quite dusted. My usual day tomorrow) and was organised within an inch of its life and all ran quite smoothly!Beautiful sunrise noted here too , out the windows at work and beckoned all my colleagues to come and see.Laughter, chatter, much singing amongst the hard work.Big chatter with DD2 when I came in, voice messages from DD1 ( complaining vociferously about lockdown and how she’s complying and so many others are not)
Quick ( by our standards)half hour chat to friend (had spoken for an hour last night) I love that we always have something to chat about.Dog still a bit poorly. Chicken and rice only.Night Night!11 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A bit of a lie in.
2) Hens OK.
3) Smaller son had ordered me a card and bigger son gave me a card and some cakes made by his colleague (who set up a little bakery business during lockdown 1).
4) Had a cooked breakfast.
5) Took my mum some plants and made her a Victoria sponge. Said hello from the garden.
6) Took bigger son back to work and had a go at some of the obstacle courses then had 2 races on the go karts!
7) Got some leek soup out of the freezer for my tea which was better than I had hoped.
8) Spoke to my school friend on the phone for a couple of hours.
Not a pleasure as such, but a teacher who worked at my school had lived and worked in Chinese schools for a few years after retiring. He has become extremely ill, well cared for in a Chinese hospital but needs to come home for rehabilitation. His daughter spread the word this evening, set up an GoFundMe page and has raised all £40,000 in 6 hours! It is a small, extremely rural comprehensive and the number of names I recognised is amazing. I think half our year have donated. Someone has made a huge donation and we think it is Kit Harrington (his brother was in the same class as my brother)!11
