For yesterday
1) another day off (these are from my 5 carried over from last year - last year was mad in higher education!) - again I started with doing some work, again loved the no meetings (OK one 45 minute meeting at 8:30) - I did suggest to one of our vice principals we created a meeting-free day a week when we were about a month into lockdown - the idea was rejected but has now been suggested lol
2) a crow working out how to open the bird feeder that holds the slab of fatball - i was so impressed I put a new slab out for them on the lawn - they were joined by another who made quick work, flew off with large chunks in their beaks, then other smaller birds came to finish off
3) then a lovely bubbly bath and my bookclub book - the lost lights of st kilda - really enjoying so far
4) after lunch gbf came round and we took the boys for a long walk then we sat in my front garden (new relaxation as of yesterday), wrapped in blankets, and enjoyed cups of tea.
5) then at 5 drinks with my boss and another colleague followed by takeaway ordered by dd2 and in bed by 9.

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday.....
Did a favour for best friend and went food shopping with his sister so he didn't have to. I used my clubcard so I get the T points.
Coffee and pineapple jaffa cakes after shopping. I shared the jaffa cakes with best friend as he paid for them.
Another old cupboard out of friend's house and away for the tip.
HT came out of school in a very good mood. Acquired extra child with no problems and stopped for a chat with best friend when extra child was dropped off to him.
Hot bath and pjs then online gaming with best friend. Good fun and more chat. I ended the day with a chat with my other friend who sent a gorgeous bouquet when I came out of hospital - flowers are from M&S and are still going strong. I'm lucky to have such kind friends. I keep my circle small but they're good'uns.
Take care all of you11 -
Tighter the knit, closer the fit Cranky, I’m the same with my friends.
For yesterday,
Funny old day weather wise, strong winds again kept bringing in the clouds but by late afternoon we had clear skies.
Changed the bed, made a bread dough and some rock cakes for the tin, my knee is still sore and makes standing for a long time awkward so kitchen stool came in handy.
Text conversation with DB, he had just had first dose but nephew also tested positive so household now in quarantine, as he said we nearly got through.
Over to yard, unusually she had been left in turnout rug and out of the wind in the barn was too hot so removed, gave her a long groom and popped light fleece on. Happy pony.
Glass of wine and a couple of squares of chocolate in the evening.11 -
1. Went to Community fridge. Chat with some of the people there.
2. Called round to my parents to take Mothers day present. Had a chat with them and a coffee on the doorstep.
3. Also took eggs and flowers from the garden to my Mum.
4. Enjoyed watching the rugby.
5. Texts from a friend.11 -

3. Watched Ma Rainey's Black Bottom with DD - not everyone's cup of tea, I imagine, as it was based on a play so not action packed
4. Salmon for tea

1 Our kettle broke about 4 weeks ago now, it was taken apart but no joy, we have been using the caravan kettle in here but its low power, I remembered we have Nectar points and used some to cover buying fifteen pounds worth of kettle delivered. I’m happy. We used to pay a fair bit more but found it wasn’t worth it. The Argos courier was ever so happy and friendly.
2 Home made hunters chicken was tea, and I might do a strudel with Elmlea in a bit.
3 Some dear friends of ours have been victims of animal crime, all I want to do is visit them and help as they are hurting so much we talked and we were able to help getting papers involved, and got it onto itv. DH and I are giving thought to what else can be done.
4 With using up what we have in I haven’t needed to order shopping in for two weeks now.
5 A to be pleasure of fresh bedding after a bath.
