Art'noon all.
Frith - fabulous news and well done you for keeping on keeping on
Bala - good haul. Good luck with your cooking adventures.
Welcome back DD!
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Teaching was teached - not my (or anyone's) favourite subject (insurance) but t'is done now and the rest of this year's topics are things that i know well and enjoy teaching
2. A cheeky glass of wine
3. Paella for tea (hence no. 2)
4. A walk to the post office in my 2 hour lunch break - walked the long way back
5. family film night - OH's choice of The White Tiger. Very, very good indeed. I also watched the last half of my (failed) choice of Top Gun but a bit sad that no-one else 'got' it.
Have a fab rest of day everyone. Thanks for all your pleasures, i do love to read them all

Good afternoon
Bala - lasagne, eh? No stopping you now!
VJ'S mum - I love Top Gun. Now singing ' Take my Breath away' to myself.
Been a lovely springy day here. Met my friend at the garden centre for a coffee and a wander. She's my bubble friend so we could have met in one of our houses but it's good to be outside in this weather.
I bought a pale yellow primrose to add to a house plant basket I have on the dining table. Can never get over how much loveliness can be had for 85 pence!
Curried oven veg and chicken for tea. A favourite of mine.
Happy spring-at-last day everyone13 -
Hello...posting early today!Well...I was up early but no keys had been delivered so couldn’t open up!Walked down a bit later , met my old primary school teacher and chatted with her as we walked. I see her fairly often. Into work for a couple of hours for catering and yep...I much prefer when I’ve a full kitchen to myself instead of a wee cramped space!DD2 and doggy met me on way back. Walked half way with them and then went to bosses to do forward planning for the next big thing...Mothers Day. Got a lot done. All staff team organised and allocated a job! List upon list made. More to do tonight to collate everything. I do like a list! Brain slightly frazzled at working out the mathematics of it all. But think I’ve got it right!Walked home and then we took doggy out over the fields. Rather mild and dry today. Pleasant.
Just brought washing in off line , almost dry. What a difference to getting it outside. We’ve just ordered some takeaway. At the moment no catering next two days for me ( so I’m kind of fingers crossed it stays that way) in at the weekend to cater early on Saturday and Sunday but I’m off my main working days.Chatted to my friend in Melbourne and also the boyo last night.Saw and heard a mistle thrush on way to work, a robin on way to boss and then a kestrel hovering above us over the field. And all the other busy birds in the hedgerows.Right tea is here! Have a lovely night.Sue much love being sent to you and your husband x12 -
1 Up and at them so to speak, 2 washing loads done, and both the microwave and oven deep cleaned by 10am, I have to be honest the cleaning is starting to feel rather tedious at the moment, it is a pleasure it’s done.
2 I re meal planned inspired by Bala's lasagne, it reminded me I haven't made it in a while, so plan to do that tomorrow. For today lunch was a ham and salad roll, dinner is fish and rice.
3 The animals forcing me to play with them in the garden, they always raise a smile.
4 The weather is allowing for garden time which is vastly helping, sorted out the pots to go back on the fences, sorted pots for seed soil and seeds etc. Couldn’t resist a photo.
5 Inside with a camomile tea, and I’ve just put leftovers out for the fox.

I’m very grateful to have received the vaccine, and they’re incredible things... but I’m about to get up and brush my teeth then go back to bed! It’s rather knocked me about.
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) A day in bed!
2) Got out of bed to let bigger son’s friend’s dad in to plumb in the new washing machine. His daughter had the same vaccine at the same place as me yesterday and is also ill.
3) Washed the sofa throw to test the new washing machine out.
4) The man from Toyota came to mend the car (it was recalled). They take a before and after video to prove that everything still works. Cue an animated phone call from dad of Frith asking all about it. I emailed him the video!
5) Smaller son made me 2 vegeburgers for tea.
6) Propped myself up in bed and did the last part of my Mental Health First Aider course.
Thinking of you, SuffolkSue.14 -
Glad you've had your jab Frith, but sorry you are suffering
1. More worky work - but hardly any students came to be tutored. Got paid for watching people kill each other on Peaky Blinders for half an hour
2. went for walk around the 'big block' which is 2 miles. Ended up at the shop i needed to be at and my friend was in there
3. a yoga session - a tougher one but was good.
4. Made ham and asparagus quiche for tea.
5. Did loads of duo lingo as i had lots of time between sessions this morning.
Night night all.I wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
It knocked me for 6 too Frith, I had the jab at 9.08 in the morning and by lunchtime was out on my feet or rather out on the sofa and I didn't surface other than to stagger downstairs to bed until 10ish the next day when I felt immeasurably better but still woozy and slightly odd tummied but by the day after that all was normal! so very grateful to have had it though hope you feel better tomorrow love xxx.11

is time doing strange things for other people? a day lasts a month and a month goes in the blink of an eye.
1) finished where the crawfish sing - very good
2) remembered some chocolate icecream languishing in the bottom of the freezer - it has been released
3) dd2 has found a job she really wants to apply for - fingers crossed, but good to see her enthused about the next stage - must be very difficult for anyone looking to graduate this year
4) first online lent study - we were all encouraged to bring a candle to light which was nice
5) and now watching Elizabeth RMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
25 for 25: 127 / 625
declutter: 173 / 2025
frogs eaten: 614 -
DD time is doing similar things here. I was talking about it to someone earlier this week.
1. A consultant happily have my sister advice about her eye when I asked. He would have seen her if she lived closer too.
2. A colleague understood my frustration. I thought I was going mad at one point. I was covering another clinic as well as my own. The notes for my clinic were with me but the other notes were all in a different location. I thought it was a problem but others didn't seem to think it was important.
3. The daffodils and crocus are out in the garde garden.
4. Enjoyed shepherds pie for tea.
5. Early night13 -
Hope you are feeling a bit better now Frith.
For yesterday,
A sunny day and was a balmy 17degrees by mid morning.
Spent lots of time outside with my gorgeous horse, she was in a happy mood and we had lots of fun.
The sweet smell of the hay nets as they lay in the sun against the side of the barn.
A quick visit from eldest DSS, he’s been worried about his Dad and asked for a chat. They sat suitably distanced in a sheltered spot in the garden and had a good old chin wag.
Thoroughly enjoyed the programme with Sandi Toksvig visiting various places in Britain, was particularly taken with the lighthouse cottages just off Skye.12
