Had success yesterday. My brother walked Tiggy with me. We tried to take her into the park but she refused. Again. This since another younger, stronger, seeing Staffie came out of nowhere and flipped/ bowled Tiggy over. Tiggy is 19 kilo.
The walk was lovely and I was thrilled to get him out of the house. He confessed to enjoying it too. Huge win.
The RTC pork chops were roasted with courgettes and mushrooms. Served with beautiful baby pototoes and sugar snaps pea-pod thingies. Sadly, although everyone enjoyed the meal the consensus is that no-one really likes pork which is why I rarely buy it. That's okay because it falls in with one of my dastardly plans to substitute meat with lentils. Hence the much anticipated lasagna. I am determined to eat less meat but it's difficult when you live with someone that doesn't feel they've eaten unless it is 'meat and 2 veg'. Small steps.....LUCKILY, both males in this house are 'Pasta Potty'. Perfect for my evil plans.....
Seem to be getting a grip over Tiggy's eye problem. Relief, relief, relief.
Bon voyage everyone....

Jabbed!

Bala, dastardly. Yous bee turning inn too a BoP!
PM2DD WINNERS! Enuff off! Oh, whine is not a ...
Friffs Please avoid currys. Use your local Euronics person! They don't fobb yous off about minor things! Yous should knows BoPs forts one Educationalists and Insocial Workers! Enuff said!Take that then!
Was jabbed yesterday withs the fizzers version! Shot inn the arm and done! Was quiet humble actually. Last time I queued for a jab was Jan 80 in the RAF and we had plenty then! Was done very quickly, a constant stream of people and three give inn out the jabs! No complaints really, though one did create a commotion as to why he had to read the leaflet and sadly walked. If you were not wanting the jab, why waste a space for someone else? Still done and over with the first shot. No worse than the flu jab of thirty years ago!
Was out at the Docks yesterday morning doing things so that is whys yous had no report from BoP. All was good!
Has the second fillet of hot smoked mackerel kedgeree for tea last evening. Kitty is getting a taste of the decent foods as well, and she certainly approved this!
Watched the lettermen on the flix last evening, the final one. Had Lizzo on it! Really good again. Cheeses and wobbeades were consumed! Also had sum nuts to help!
Now watch the cricket. Dear me, I could course a few words! Tee is mugged, butt a tad early for the elevenses! That will bee too choklait digestions and a wafer two day!
Jenny had a good buzz inn birthday and sends hertoo the needy!
That was not two much!

Good afternoon
D doll - Yes , the days are slow but the months are fast! Plus, next month is March and nothing much has happened since last March! DH keeps saying' I thought it was Sunday today '. He's right. Every day feels like a childhood Sunday with all shops closed and the only thing to do is go for a walk!
Bala - your patience with your brother is bearing fruit. Hooray.
But today is a good day as it's gloriously sunny and warm. Walked to the village for a paper and spotted lots of crocuses in gardens. Spring is springing.
Fish n chips for tea. Am making some blueberry muffins but we're usually so full after fish n chips we probably won't want them. They'll be there for tomorrow.
Happy 🌞🌞 day everyone13 -
Good afternoon all, pleasures for yesterday,
Socially distanced chat with cousin who lives close by - she walks past my house on the way to see her sister.
HT still doing online school with the minimum of complaints
Didn't sleep much at night so I had a sneaky nap in the afternoon
Sorted through some seed packets and worked out what I'm going to try and grow this year
Did some more sorting out in the mess that was previously our spare bedroom.
Take care all of you14 -
1) Just back from a really nice walk along the lanes in the sunshine.
2) First time out this year not wearing a coat, just a padded gilet and very comfortable.
3) Banks of wide eyed celandines bright and cheerful in the sun and the odd wild early primrose and also the first of the wild daffodils on top of a bank on a field margin, gorgeous!
4) Met my pal Sir Maximus Houndicus who is a minute Yorkie and almost 14 but still full of ping ... he gave me a lick!
5) Leeks and Purple Sprouters from the allotment this morning so will have a pasta with leek and psb bake for our main meal tomorrow.12 -
Hello has been a pleasant day...more spring than winter so that was nice and I had a whole day off work!Doggy was up a tad too early so yes you can have a wee but you’re not getting breakfast so we lay on the sofa until it was a more appropriate time...on sofa as I’d left heating on all night by mistake and it was so hot upstairs!DD2 big birthday next week so was organising her cake’s fresh flowers...yes her birthday not her wedding! Nice chat with my florist friend. Then we went to the allotment . First time this year so beds are full of weeds..or full of strawberries! One is full of strawb runners! I’m only taking on two beds instead of four as I want to try and do more in my garden at home this year. But wanted the rhubarb plants out my rhubarb patch which is in one of the beds I’m giving up. So with a heave and a ho and another heave and a ho I managed to get them out. Also lifted chives out my fourth bed. I love the flowers. Delighted to see what looks like foxglove plants in my main beds. Love them. Doggy delighted to be there and was living his best life running round and round and a big sploosh in the pond.Home and had a lovely chat with DD1 for an hour. Then out into the garden. Power washed the path at side of house. Power washer sitting on doormat in the lounge as I’m going to try and do a bit of each bit as and when I can without knackering myself. I find my hand gets sore holding the handle down. So it’s easier leaving it there rather than in and out the garage. Means I’ll get it done!Stopped for late lunch. Had leftovers from last nights dinner.
Then back out and planted the rhubarb in a big tub and chive plants in my herb garden. Tidied up raised beds...admired bulbs shooting through and primroses all tightly budded with a hint of promise. It was so nice to be out in fresh air.Various hellos said to various peoples going past.
Back inside and moved lounge room furniture around...making it more ready for spring and summer. I’m not convinced about the wallpaper I chose so it’s getting a final reprieve before I paint over it! It’s just too big and noisy a pattern for me.It’s been lovely not going in to work today. Thought I was escaping again tomorrow but there’s an order in for me to cater for. But should be a quick in and out.12 -

That can be a new tradition, @balabooberlies.
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Another 10 hour sleep to add to all the sleeping I did during the day yesterday saw the end of the AZ vaccine side effects!
2) Smaller son fed the hens for me (a 25 minute walk). He decided they must be fed at dawn (!) so they were probably quite surprised!
3) Got the legal paperwork “Smaller son v County Council” where they have now accepted everything we proposed.
4) Had a good tidy up, after my day in bed.
5) A teacher from smaller son’s college came round and finally his GCSEs will be teacher assessed. (They’re weird iGCSEs as it’s an independent special school). The maths teacher says if he puts in enough work, he’ll get a level 5. He’s retaking 4 GCSEs.
6) Cut smaller son’s hair then took him to Tesco.
7) Watched the Michael Mosley programme.
8) After 11 years, ordered a new laptop. Bigger son has my old one so he can type up his apprenticeship stuff while he’s away.12 -
Beautiful sunny day -
1) washing on the line and now dry
2) and windows flung open
3) and vacuuming between meetings
4) and a lovely walk up balgay with the boys after work
5) and finding that the fictional bridges on the euro are no longer fictional https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/euro-banknote-bridges
(which are all much more cheerful than mentioning the cricket or Leicester match so instead I'll share my daffodils)
