Frith

Pleasures for today (Monday)

1) Not a bad sleep 

2) Lost 2lbs. That’s 23lbs so far this year. 

3) Went to the launderette. Hopefully the new washing machine will be here tomorrow!

4) Trying to walk 2 miles + a day and did that while the clothes were washing. 

5) Cleaned the inside of the car out. It’s been recalled (despite being 17) so I thought I better shovel some rubbish out before Toyota appear. 

6) Hens ok and I took 6 eggs to our neighbour. 

7) Smaller son wanted a trip to Tesco. Our usual stomping ground of Sainsbury’s is no more as someone from his old school works there (the horror!)

8) Did part 3 of my Mental Health First Aid course.

9) Bigger son phoned and he’s been doing high ropes training today. His fellow housemate has complained about all the black hair he leaves lying around after him. Welcome to my world! The other male housemate is ginger so there will be no getting away with it. He was offered an extras part in a film being shot in Ludlow but they wanted him on too many dates and he can’t fit it round his new job. Looks like his driving test will be delayed yet again...

10) In bed with 2 hwb and will watch DIY SOS just now.

2 nights ago made my first fish pie.  Have never attempted it as have always been afraid of making Bechamel Sauce.  Made far too much (Less is more bala, less is more.......) so we had it 2 nights in a row with some tweaking and better potatoes/mash on second night.  And more fresh herbs.

The World is now my 'Bechamel Sauce' !

1. Work didn't dampen my good mood totally but pleased to get a long day out of the way.
2. Video chat with my sister. She showed me her infected eye for advice.
3. Chat with DS1- he had been to oestopath and given good advice.
4. Enjoyed fishcakes for tea.
5. Tidied the bedroom. Don't normally do on a Monday but looks better for it.

Mild, sunny weather and a real scent of spring in the air, my favourite season.

In the kitchen making bread when beloved dashed through to catch the Postie who had a parcel, surprises entering the house ahead of my upcoming birthday maybe?

With the lengthening days the horses were out for longer today, without rugs, and judging by the patches of grey hair in her field my girlie had rolled a lot.

Long chat with a friend, she has a shielding husband so we haven’t seen each other face to face for well over a year but both have our jabs this week so tentative plans made for an outdoor coffee by Easter.

Easy tea of jacket spuds with LO spicy chicken topping.

1) Sunshine outside.

2) Lovely chats with both DDs last evening and two whats app chats with the pink grandpickle who was crying and took the phone to mummy saying Oma Opa, Oma Opa after we'd gone the first time...nice to be wanted!

3) Some subs but most of my Tesco order arrived and only one missing item.

4) Think I might get the washing out on the clothes line today, been a while since it's looked like a dry day in prospect.

5) The off button on the TV ... the news is beginning to make me scream!

This time I is back!

Round and aboputs inn the Glawster day of last that is watt BoP was do inn! Well I was at the Docks four the day! Still I is here nows! I tuck BoPsie to her Salt Mine, and scooped her up again! 

Home for the cheats smoked, hot smoked, mackerel kedgeree! Very tasty in the king tiger prawns this day. BoPsie flakes the mackerel up and then we toss it inn at the finish! We has moor mackerel for kedgeree tomorrow! Recipe is here!
Cook long grain rice in hot water with a dash of termites! (Termeric four newbies!) Remember that bascarpi rice is mainly long grain inn disguise!
Use a good fillet of the hot smoked mackerel, flake off skin
Half a decent purple onion, finely chopped
8 king tiger prawns, fresh!
Bitsers from the refrigerator! (That is any spare bits!) Peppers, tomsd or others! Add coriander and some chilli to taste! Add some termites as well!
Fry onions until brown, add bitsers, Add strained rice. Add the tiger prawns and stir. (If the tiger prawns need copoking, add just before the rice is ready). Add flaked mackerel! Then add the whisked egg, stir inn the mix. Cover with some chopped parsley. Serves too and Kitty!

Nows I is ready four me elevenses, tee is again mugged. free choklit covere digestions as well! No cakes of Jaffa this weak though!

Last nite we court up with the million thing and has some wobbleades! Cheeses were aten as well! Now watch inn the CSA cricket!

Oh, it is a special Day Jenny is nine years old! Jenny snds a to herself!

Good morning all, oof, I've been moving furniture! Sit down and rest time so pleasures for yesterday....

An unexpected thank you card in the post off my sister for buying their wedding rings. It has a lovely photo of the two of them on the front. That put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Went food shopping very early. The pleasure is that it's over with for the week!

I didn't feel too well at the weekend but I was mostly back to normal yesterday. (As you can probably tell by the furniture moving, I feel even better today).

Called to see my "bubble". Took some ready made trifle from the shopping expediton and also a large toy old english sheepdog which the HT has fnally decided was free to leave the building. Collected a video player which I have sold to someone on my friend's behalf.  

Bath and pjs then sitting in the HT's bed chatting to him whilst he played online games.

Happy birthday to Jenny. Seems she's doing a grand job.

DD is 40 today. No idea how that can be as, in my head, I'm still 35! Although the arthritis and cataracts tell a different story

Posted the Lasting Power of Attorney to the Circumlocution Office, sorry, Office of the Public Guardian. To be fair it was pretty straightforward and well explained, but getting signatures and witnesses is a bit tricky at the moment. Done now anyway.

It's lovely and bright here but a cold wind. The weatherman says it will be 15 degrees tomorrow. Better go look for a sun top and get the lounger out of the shed.

Pleasures for yesterday
1. more marking marked - including the best submission i think i've ever read.  I gave him 96 but think i might have cheated him and may still put it up.
2. went for a longish walk with OH and DS - the floods are subsiding and we could have got away without wellies which is quite nice.
3. A zoom call with friends - not much to say as no-one is doing much but nice to 'see' them
4. an episode of our latest series
5. hmmm - oh i know, washing was hung out.
