Take care Sue, sending you my very best wishes for your husband to comfortable and pain free .
A quiet day. In at work for an hour and then home by 7.15am. Out with the dog by 7.30am ( having already done a quick walk at 5.30) we’d a lovely walk . It was so mild and pleasant at that time. And so light! And birds were singing. Later on ghastly! Then it’s been so quiet. Chatting with DD2. Snuggles with a dog. Quick walks in the foul wind and rain.Had a nice dinner.Just waiting on work keys, then bedwards!18 -

Thoughts are with Suffolk Sue and DH.
Thank you to everyone who joined me in 🥂 or 🎂 for my birthday 😊
I had so many flowers 💐 it looks like a florist’s! Not complaining!
Lovely morning yesterday so I was out gardening in a t shirt! Planted up the lovely pot of snowdrops and tete a tete my friend bought me, both are my favourites!
Only the bird box to put up now, such thoughtful presents 😊
Actually got the washing line dried yesterday!
Roast turkey joint for dinner with stuffing and James Martin’s recipe for Yorkshire pud, which I have now perfected! Shame I really need to start back on a diet next week ☹️
Our neighbour, Ben the Baker, then brought up a box of 8 doughnuts he had just made. There’s only 2 of us!
Have a super Sunday everyone😊
PS love the mouse monkey 🐒 name for squirrels 🐿. So sweet 😊17 -

For yesterday,
A lie-in followed by a leisurely breakfast.
Took the scissors to my hair and trimmed & thinned, reasonably pleased with the results and keeps things tidy for the time being, Capt S helped me with the back and then I did the same for him.
The birds are filling the garden with their song, you don’t realise how quiet they are in winter until spring comes along.
Sun came out in the afternoon and spent it with my big girl at the yard, the puddles are drying up and the ponies had been out without their rugs for the first time in months so she had rolled, a lot! Oh well all the grooming keeps the bingo wings at bay! Also did some pole work in the school and then had a leisurely stroll around the fields, absolute bliss and no coat needed.
Easy tea of sausage and chips.15 -
THoughts remain with you S. Sue - hope your OH is still peaceful and pain free and may he continue to be so for as long as he is able.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A long walk round a big block with OH - we took in the post office and the butchers en route.
2. Striking up a conversation with a stranger - passed several minutes. We were admiring his house that is for sale as he came out of it.
3. Getting on with more marking - the ticking off is the pleasure, not the marking itself. It's unusual for me to have set to with it quite as dedicatedly (is that a word? It is now)
4. HOme made sourdough pizza for tea (veg and goats cheese thanks for asking) while kids had pizza hut. Home made is much nicer and not really difficult - especially as the base came out the freezer being left over from last time.
5. listened to the News Quiz while i dried and straightened my hair.
Have a lovely day all - set to be drizzly all day here.I wanna be in the room where it happens15
