Happy Birthday to you both Paulie.
Yesterday
1 Similar to Bala, various pet medications ordered via their prescriptions, it will be pleasure when they arrive safe and sound, and doing it this way has hopefully saved some pennies.
2 Up early so various wash loads done, and then I set too, dragging the downstairs up to clean, all done now, but I overdid it and I’m feeling it.
3 Took DH to his diabetic eye screening, we are both thankful it was a grey day as sunlight would be painful after the drops.
4 Turkey roll was lunch, and then I put a stew together to cook through for a couple of hours so the house smells really lovely.
Today
1 Popped up to the hospital for a booked in blood test, all very smooth running.
2 I did some gardening and planted up some bulbs that appear to be suffering so better in the ground and we will see, this about sums up my gardening skill.
3 Everything I do today has made a mess, soil everywhere and it was a clean house for a few mins.
4 Dare not cook it feels like I will blow the place up, so we will be ordering in on a voucher later.
5 Half of the pet meds arrived today, that was quick.

Late extra Bonne Anniversaire, perfect underlining placement, Paulie.😁 (and twin) 👏👏👏👏👏👏.
Like your table, your bottle, your wine-glass, your flowers, your smart oven, your spongey chap, who is on the wrong end of The Very Hungry Caterpillar story today😃.
Will post this immediately, before No Signal + screen freeze and another All Gone, as happened yesterday.....😬CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

The second heater arrived. I ordered oil filled radiators. In the meantime (although I insisted that OH have the one that had arrived) he ordered 2 fan heaters. I must say they whack out some heat. So we now have 4 heaters, which is okay. I always worry, because of his age and as he is the thin wiry type, about what the cold is doing to him. I have put 2 winter duvets on his bed. This is probably as far as we are going re the heating system, but that's okay too. At least I know all are warm. We are certainly well fed as evidenced by seeing my huge self on zoom yesterday. Action needed.
Tiggy responding well to eye drops and pain meds. I feel relieved. Cannot stand it if I know she's in pain.
Not much more to report. Hope all are as well as can be.......

Happy belated birthday Paulie.
For past couple of days again.
For Thursday.
1. Zoom meeting with my family for my Mum's 80th birthday. It was good to see everyone.
2. Work was at a different site - had to ask why have you done x,y and z to the main site by email. At least I know it's not their fault.
3. Stuffed sea bass for tea. It was very tasty.
4. Home in the light. Makes a difference to the day.
5. Enjoying my book.
6. The floor is finished.
For yesterday.
1. House tidier - not great but much better.
2. My door mats have arrived. I like them which is good.
3. Picked leeks from the garden and had them with tea.
4. Warm enough to tidy the garden without freezing!
5. Chat with my parents on the phone.
6. Chat with a couple of neighbours over the garden fence.13 -
Good to hear the meds are helping Tiggy.
For yesterday,
Sitting at the table eating breakfast and phone buzzed, text from GP offering me vaccine! Surely a scam as my age range not meant to be starting yet and no existing health issues but yes, apparently our area have rattled through 60plus and have now dropped down to the 50’s so all booked!
Changed bed and generally pottered around the house, Capt S had day off work and I wanted him to rest so didn’t want to do too much in case he felt he needed to help iyswim, pottering flies under the radar 😉
Did go out to put some petrol in the car and took advantage of journey to pick up some more peanuts for the birds plus a new day bed for small dog, money off with loyalty card from pet store.
She also had a spring haircut by lovely dog groomer who came in her mobile van, all sanitised and safe.
Made a paella for tea with bits of chicken, prawn and chorizo. Raised a glass of G&T to Paulie. Oh and the last episode of Its a Sin, 😢14 -
1) A lie in...didn't even wake until after 8 o clock this morning...lovely!
2) My little grandaughter who in the garden yesterday was enchanted by the 'mouse-monkeys'? on enquiry mummy explained they're squirrels! when the little one sees them she makes 'squeaks' and 'ooh oh ooh' monkey noises ergo 'mouse monkeys' so cute!
3) Made us a new soup recipe from one of my vegan books yesterday, a Mexican black bean soup to be topped with cashew soured cream, avocado, tortilla chips and grated vegan cheese...heaven in a bowl!
4) We haven't floated away with all the rain .. yet! but it's still raining.....
5) Rugby on the TV, lots of it too, some to watch and some to record for later...bliss!10 -
Morning all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. a long walk with OH over the fields. A bit muddier than we imagined, but no matter. It rained but we stayed fairly dry.
2. watched the second episode of our latest joint series - about the 1916 easter uprising in Ireland
3. Also watched 2 of the next series of Peaky Blinders - which featured a shock! (in all honesty i am a bit done with watching, but what else is there? I read too...)
4. Reading more of my Bill Bryson - I love his style.
5. Left over take away curries for tea.
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
1. A few years ago, I posted an NZ Edmonds Microwave recipe layering pumpkin/squash, ham, grated cheese, onion/garlic, parsley, cream (very adaptable) and cannot find it again. Need to post it in a certain way for somewhere else. Can't find it in os recipe index or in my Edmonds books, ordinary or mw. It was my late and beloved Uncle who made it first and if any established osper perhaps kept it, & would be very grateful.
That aside, enjoy this nonsense. & is sitting on a fortune, with 3😁.

2. Late laundry out in near dark last night. In, blown dry, before 6am. Starry night, sparkling plough, Mars - all clear and beautiful.
3. Cold weather payment received, covered Halfords job yesterday. After big Food Hub Wednesday (again, real need, real caring) +extra drop-offs, pulled over to let flashing blue light police car go by, but they were after &! Didn't know rear left light was kaput, nothing indicated. Gave them something to do:-). Young, pleasant woman - all ok, especially when & answered 'Food Hub', re: stacked crates filling back.
4. Debadgered! Hooray!😁 'Better than decent result, &', she writes immodestly. Still want re-opened college salon, asap please, if only to check for trim. Waist-length and descending.
5. 1st home re-dressing thumb+splint+mould, as instructed. Ok. Still so grateful, the more I learn from others less fortunate with similar.
