5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

Yesterday's pleasures...
Dentist check up. Yes, a real pleasure, first time in over a year and teeth are fine. Able to walk there and back and get some well needed exercise.
Sunshine. Steady and constant for several hours.
Indoor crops growing nicely - cress, rocket, peppers and flowers rudbeckia and cosmos.
Dog running around with Honey, a golden spaniel. Took a job to get Honey's tennis ball away from my dog, bribery and corruption as well as a swift grab of the collar did the trick.
Trip to medium sized Sainsbury's, with some RTC bargains. Also bought new scented tealights, two bunches of daffs and a hyacinth pot (3 plants, pink flowers anticipated). Delicious food for weekend bought, special offer lasagne for today with RTC mangetouts and baby corn, to be followed by RTC lemon cheesecake. A piece of butterflied lamb leg for Sunday roast dinner.
Singing, an OS pleasure brought to you with the aid of technology. A live gig on YouTube lunchtime yesterday, us choir members on the screen behind our leader as he hosted Keep Britain Singing. Four brilliant songs performed. In the evening, an online Big Sing with same choir. If I didn't have the choir I would climb the walls. One life - your life - live it!14 -
Hope DD feels better soon Mhags.
For yesterday, my birthday ☺️Bright blue skies and sunshine for most of the day, really gladdens the heart.Lovely cards and presents from my loved ones, mostly books as they know me too well.
Trip out to nearby town for first dose of vaccine, superbly organised and my nurse Sharon was so good I hardly felt the needle go in. The 15 minutes waiting time whizzed past as my nearest neighbour had his beautiful assistance dog Bella, a black lab, with him so we chatted dogs.
My smashing chap made some white bridge rolls and a tray of Tiffin so we had a mini afternoon tea as a treat.
All the messages and best wishes from friends.15 -

Glad you had a lovely birthday Lainey 😊
Enjoyed the sunny weather and managed a walk each day this week.
I so enjoy the sights and sounds of birds, flowers and blue skies and hope that I keep this regular walking up in the future. I always walked but not this often.
Lots of washing done and dried outside on the whirly. So nice not to have it all hanging about indoors.
OH’s payday yesterday and he wanted to treat us, so takeaway kebabs for dinner with a bottle of lager, living the high life!😊
Looks like a another lovely day, so probably some garden pottering today as we avoid walks at the weekend as it’s so busy and OH needs a rest from it as he walks 8-9 miles a day for work.
Super Saturday everyone, I don’t know where the week goes 😊13 -
Happy birthday Lainey
Happy anniversary BOP
1. First day of my holiday.
2. Went to Community fridge. Lovely veg and some prawns amongst other things.
3. Catch up with a friend in the car park. Hadn't seen her in the past year.
4. Time in the garden - my neighbour gave me some snowdrops to plant. He had too many.
5. Long chat with my parents and my Dad's cataract surgery went well on Thursday.
6. Received my refund from my old energy company- it was a nice sun to put into savings.14 -
Good morning all,
Happy Belated Birthday Lainey. I'm glad that you had an enjoyable day.
Pleasures for yesterday....
A quick trip out with my "bubble" friend to look at possible houses (from the outside, checking location etc) for my best friend who is moving here. One was suitable, the other wasn't.
Home and back to sorting the spare room. All spare bedding folded and put away. It's lovely to have so much space in there and for it to look so tidy.
Cleaned and tidied the rest of upstars. Just downstairs to do today.
Sunshine. I had a brief sortie into the garden and swept away the moss clumps that had fallen from the roof onto the patio. The cat came out too. She's not very brave and prefers company in the garden in case another cat appears. Other cats quite often appear as Mabel from over the back seems to prefer our house and garden. Mabel only has three legs but Fatso still runs away......
Earlyish to bed as I'm more comfortable lying down by late evening. No electric blanket needed though - it's so lovely to be warm enough without needed extra heating.
Take care all of you

BoP - Happy Anniversary. When does Bopsie get her medal?
Lainey - Happy Birthday. Glad you had a lovely spring day for it
Yesterday and today were very frosty in the morning but then came gloriously sunny. Such a treat to have warm bright days.
Enjoyed fish n chips from the fish shop. Now looking forward to when we can return to our caravan and eat them sitting on the harbour wall (fighting off seagulls!)
DD has just delivered some of her birthday cake. Pleased about cake for tea but even more pleased she's able to drive again now the scar has healed nicely.
Finished watching White House Farm. Between that and The Serpent I could now do with watching something about a nice person. Might watch Dirty Dancing as an antidote.
Happy springy Saturday everyone13 -
