Kitty was well impressed with BoP's thirty plus year old hammer of a drill! Well used this very morn too putt up new towel rail in the utility and after 19 years, a towel rail inn the downstair Thomas Crapper! It was as easy as that!

Kitty was a tad down last day, she had a stone inn her paw. Fortuantely her BoP was able to remove it without to much fuss. She had bin ot too get the birds so was a little upset as well. Butt becauyse of BoP quick actions, this day she is back too her normal self!

Happy anniversary, Mr and Mrs BoP.
Pleasures for today (Saturday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Cooked breakfast.
3) Bigger son chopped up the old washing machine and we took it to the tip.
4) Hens ok.
5) Had an afternoon in the garden. Weeded the raised beds and most of the pots. Tidied and swept up. Made the old glass from the washing machine into a little pond.
6) Made lamb tagine for tea and for the freezer, plus leek and vegetable soup.
7) Will watch Casualty shortly.

Pirate Pete...Bopsie does indeed deserve a medal! Happy thirty five years to you both 💜
Lainey belated birthday wishes to you. Sounds like a lovely day and hope it’s continued over the weekend . Birthdays are allowed to be stretched!Well main pleasure is of course a negative test result. However it didn’t come through till 4.30pm so we were on house arrest till then. First thing I did was get the dog and his lead and walk!Another part of patio is cleaner than it was. Just one bit more to do tomorrow hopefully weather permitting.
Chatting with DD2. She’s a wee bit better today but still not great. Will be GP on Monday which was test permitting.Planted up some violas I’d bought yesterday. Put three cyclamen out too. And swept up around doorway and washed door and step area ( not really a step as it’s straight into porch) but it’s tidy.
Pizza for tea, eaten as I was chatting to friend on phone ...almost two hours of catching up...well it’s been a couple of days!13 -
1. Long chat with a friend in the phone.
2. Few bits of tidying up done. It was needed.
3. Sowed some seeds and potted on some seedlings that needed it.
4. Helped DH with moving rubble from an area.
5. Had fish and chips for tea. They are good occasionally.14 -
Thank you everyone x
For yesterday,
Had just enjoyed a tasty breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast when hit with a huge wave of tiredness, went back to bed and didn’t wake up until several hours later, most strange but suspect after effect of jab.
Did feel quite wiped out for rest of day so quiet one at home, meant I could finish my current book, one of the Frieda Klein series by Nicci French, very good.
It was a sunny afternoon and we sat against the back wall of the cottage in sheltered spot to have a cup of tea, the air was full of birdsong.
Another win for Utd and we stay top of the league.
Easy tea of baked potato and cheesey beans, oh and a nice G&T, just because 😉

Lainey, you shock me, having a G&T with your baked spud! The scandal!
(You know that baked potatoes should only be accompanied by a lovely beer shandy!)
Happy belated anniversary to BoP, thirty five years, eh? You must be doing something right!
Yesterday was a pleasure most of the time, it was beautifully sunny most of the day.
Walk with dog - she met up with a Labrador puppy and a couple of tiny terrier things that looked quite young too. The four of them had a crazy time racing round the playing field, much to the delight of us humans.
Productive day in the garden, cleaning stuff down, moving stuff around. I now have the table and chairs on the main patio outside the living room, the two wooden chairs and fire pit on the mini raised deck at the back, and two hanging "egg" chairs in different parts of the garden. Four defined areas for relaxation.
Delicious lunch - (look away now, BoP) ready made lasagne, steamed reduced priced mange-touts and baby corn, freshly made sourdough bread and butter. Reduced price lemon cheesecake. Yes, the only thing homemade was the bread, but to make it up I'm doing a proper Sunday roast today.
Singing practice online. We're starting to learn Hold On by Wilson Phillips, a bit complex but it's going to sound amazing.
As ever, the company of my son and my fabulous animals. One life - your life - live it!15 -
Good morning all,
Happy Anniversary Bop and Bopsie 🥂
Pleasures for yesterday....
More sunshine and more cleaning done.
I made brownies (for the HT) and oat bscuits (for me). Yum
I managed to persuade the HT that outsde the front door Iwas a good place to be so we went for a little drive to drop some bedroom bits (curtains, lamp, etc) that we no longer need to a friend. The stuff was in a bin bag and hasn't been touched for over a week so I told her that f she rips the bin bag open, tips the things out then chucks the bin bag and washes her hands it should be safe. I had a lovely text from her later thanking me. The bonus was that the HT was outside in the sun for a small while.
Some crochet done. I've been knitting for a whle but finished the latest kntting project and picked up the crochet again. t's easy to do whilst listening to music.
Socally distanced chat with next door neighbour who has said I can cut down as much of ther conifers as I want to. Her husband kept saying that he was going to do it last summer but I'm still waiting. I want them cut now before they get to a stupid height so I'll sort it myself.
Take care all of you13 -

2 great things today (apart from all the other things I am mindful and grateful for).
Brother came out with me. It was a walk full of spring joy. For the first time in 6 months he took his mask of in the street. Have been/am worried about lack of vitamin D.
On the way home popped into Mr T's express and came away with rtc/ys chicken thighs and mince. Absolutely thrilled.
Have struggled with very low mood this week so today was/is a huge blessing and relief. I hate it when I'm not myself.
Lots of kindnesses from my brother (irritating cough), he keeps bringing me water. My dizzy spells are back. I never thought I would say this but I can't wait for next blood test so that I can find out what is wrong. I need to be able to grab it with both hands and sort it out.
Really, when I add it up it's not 2 great things but oodles of great things.
toodle-pip me lovelies
