All of a sudden there are daffodils appearing on grass verges and in gardens.
Capt S went for his scan and all went well although he didn’t like the sensation of the dye going in.
I couldn’t go with him for obvious reasons so busied myself over the yard, girlie was very good for her Mum.

1) Lovely Skype chat with DD2 and the two younger grandpickles this morning with the smallest one initiating a game of 'peek a boo' for the first time and the middle one showing me all the animal pictures he was industriously sticking into his scrap book.
2) A morning walk for a change in lovely warm sunshine, really really nice to be warm and not need coats.
3) Coffee in the garden sat in the sun, oh how I've longed for that!
4) Treat of takeaway lunch from our local tea rooms today so we're both having Country Faggots with mash and veg and then bread and butter pudding and custard, but we'll probably save that for supper, they're generous portions and I've laid the garden table for lunch outside too...not bad for the end of February is it?
5) Windows open all over the house, so quiet outside I can hear birdsong, the sun is shining in and that's lovely.11 -
Good afternoon all, pleasures for yesterday.....
Confirmation was emailed from school that the HT has been entered for his exams.
Called to see my "bubble" person as I had some dvds that they wanted and they had an empty box that I wanted. It was also to check that they were feeling better after feeling poorly due to covid jab.
Finally made enough progress sorting out the spare room to order an ottoman and a storage unit.
Chatting online to my bubble person and my best mate while they played online games with the HT. I didn't play because my stomach was too sore to sit up but I enjoyed the chat.
I felt better after a lie down so I put the ottoman together. It's a decent strong one that can be used as a seat, not one of the folding types. To be honest, I didn't even know that a collapsible, folding ottoman was even a thing until I looked online for a proper one. The MSE bit was 5% cashback obtained by paying by debit card (given by my bank account as cash back).
Take care all of you15 -
Evening all
Love that Prague jug DD
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Walk along the canal with my friend and her little dog - she lost her dad a couple of weeks ago so is a bit fragile
2. The stunning sunshine - real warmth in it
3. More marking marked
4. Made soup for tea - DD made lemon meringue pie for pud. There is more of both left.
5. Washing partially dried on the line
And today
1. ANother gorgeous walk on a stunning day - this time with OH along a river, over some fields and along the canal
2. Being able to wear walking boots rather than wellies
3. WE got a takeaway for lunch and ate it at some pub tables - others were also doing so. I know it's not within the law but we did no harm, were near no-one and it was quite the treat.
4. Did that as we were running late for OH's vaccine appointment - but he's now safely jabbed!
5. Gin time!
Have a good evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
1 I turned the radio up loud and set to cooking things all from scratch which I am proud of as I would have used sauces before we had to track the diet and still think sauces have their place sometimes, 2 lasagnes, and with the extra it was cooked up tonight with chickpea pasta shapes, new to me but works just as well.
2 A beautiful red dusk, even if it is just volcanic dust going everywhere.
3 I’m looking forward to finishing my current read as I have Neil Gaimens Never where lined up next, followed then by the classic Wind in the Willows, can’t wait.
4 A beautiful bright moon tonight.
5 We’ve both had a call for the vaccine, it feels like a move forward.

An early good morning from me!We are currently a self isolating household whilst we wait on results. Hopefully negative but on house ( and work) arrest till then!Prior to this had an hour at work. Beautiful almost full moon lit up the sky.
Lovely doggy walk with a lovely doggy. Such a beautiful morning.
Lovely chat with my friend in Melbourne.
Then the interlude...a very unwell DD2, several phone calls, a visit to the testing centre with them saying we don’t think it is but just in case, seen by a very nice doctor & appropriate medication for what they actually think it is.Home and got her settled and went out in the garden and power washed some more...including myself it seems . I was slightly soaked! Still got loads to do as I’m just doing it in stages. A bit more deadheading and pruning. Such a lovely afternoon. As soon as I had finished power hosing the birds were straight back down at the feeders as if they’d been watching and waiting.
Had a bowl of soup and then some rice pudding and peaches and that was late lunch/ tea.Went for a hot shower and jammies on as I was soaked through and wasn’t going anywhere!Have a lovely day15
