Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Bit of a lie in.
2) I thought I’d leave a major house clean until after bigger son moved out (next Monday) but I couldn’t bear it any more so did the whole of the downstairs!
3) Hens ok.
4) My sister was after an old computer keyboard as her school are trying to sort out second hand computers for families. So I found ours under the stairs and took it over. I had a socially distanced walk with my sister and niece to the “fairy tree” which my niece has tied some ribbons and decorations on to.
5) Made a nice curry for tea with bigger son. Courgettes for me, rice and naan for sons.
6) Watched Holby.13 -
Hello. Very late o’clock for me! Another night of being sat at table working out shopping lists for huuuge weekend of catering. Just went a very late walk with doggy and popped them through bosses letterbox. She gets to buy it all!In at work early. Another smattering of snow overnight but not much...just as if a beanbag has burst open and scattered over the streets.
Home and lovely chat with my best friend from Melbourne. Always lovely to catch up.Stood in sons bedroom watching the snowflakes fall and swirl. There’s a lovely view to distant hills.Big walk over the fields. Met friend with her big pup...not sure who was chasing who but she puffed my doggy out! Beautiful day though extremely cold.DD2 had a hospital appointment so I sat in the car for about an hour whilst she had a scan. Read my book. Which I finished when I came home. Lovely scenery all the way to hospital ( about a half hour drive away through lovely countryside. Potholes not so lovely.Sat and read till I finished book. Had a twenty minute snoozette then time to hit the books! Mind slightly scrambled at the volume of it all!And then an unexpected walk. No one else out so no other doggies to watch out for. Mr H not always friendly! So that was nice and he just wagged his tail all the way as if he knew it was a cheeky wee extra walk! A star filled sky.14 -
Good morning Lovelies,
BoP - We still get emails from Intrepid......I don't know when DH thinks he will be going again 🤣 We had a nice sit down and a drink under Concord 🙂
HappyCas - we too are struggling with the timeline in the Serpent, but we will persevere!Mhags - Greyhounds are definitely a breed apart 🤣..... When they lie down, they sit, and then flop over. That is how they like to spend the day. 45mph Couch potatoes. Also, they are not supposed to bark, but our boy dog didn't get that email.Recents
1. Snowy walk along a disused railway line to the local coffee shop. Met some friends and swapped birthday presents. Doggies all got on well, and we caught up with each other's news 🙂
2. DD driving to and from work has been lovely this week. She is in a good mood 🙄. Nice chats. Drove the long way around the reservoir a few times, through some lovely scenery.3. The sorting and tidying of a drawer a day continues with the drawers in the utility and the wrapping paper at the back of the wardrobe.
4. Free O2 Caffè Nero......hot chocolate with cream 🙂
5. Pork chop with chips and beans last night. Simple, yet satisfying 🤣
Have a lovely day 🙂In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)
We have more in common than that which divides us. (Jo Cox)12 -
1. Everywhere looks lovely with snow covering it.
2. Seeing photos of my sister's puppy.
3. Mostly cleared a cupboard. Sorted through paperwork and have loads of it left to shred. I've been meaning to do it for ages.
4. A walk in the snow.
5. Left over chicken pie for tea.

For yesterday,
A jug of tulips on the table, cheery flowers.
Dug out the sandwich maker from the depths of the cupboard and we had toasties & salad for lunch.
A curtain of icicles in a hedge next to the road, must have been from where the cars kept going through the puddles.
The equine girlie is shedding her winter coat, nothing to do with the current oh so cold temperatures but a response to lengthening days & more light, white hair everywhere. My Grampy, a seasoned old horseman would always purse his lips and blow when grooming, good way to keep hair out of mouth!
L/O cottage pie for tea followed by two salted caramel Lindor chocs, yum.14 -
1. Best glam for yesterday's theatre outing😁
2. Took longer than planned. Many more extra hurty jabs this time, but ALL DONE, wonderfully. Terrific team again.
4-6 weeks again, same 'Heart-High, Flat, Dry' rules as last time, but little pain, less swelling. Won't be nearly so arduous. Shown removed K-wires.....hmmmm, rather toothpick-looking. Job done.
3. Put to bed in ward and brought late chicken lunch after 7hrs' theatre. 😃Very spoilt! Again, all praise all round. Addenbrookes follow-up sorted. So fortunate, so lucky & has been, still is.
4. Took self, in fading light en route back, up on to The Gallops. Many peeps have been posting yesterday's haunting sunset/clouds pics. There was something of wolf moon happening to sunset yesterday, definitely......and sun did not go down until 1802h. Yippee!!! Days are lengthening.
5. Being here to write and read osps.
Reading of McCulloch's continuing recovery, hospital tfr and ongoing care.
She was being bossed and hot choc+cookie looked after last night, with 100s of well-wishers insisting she does as told while there🙂👌👍🙏❤.
From all of us, too.👏

It's nonsense. Line isn't in use, but & cannot make calls, especially to check on oldest Northern hemisphere friend in France. John Lewis's Nathan tried everything. No luck. Google solutions don't solve. Bop - any ideas, please?

I has bin to the A1D! this morning after dumping BoPsie at her Salt Mine. Gets inn foods for the week and as I has run down the refrigerator ice box to only SatDay brakefest, there was note inn it! So I has the frozen peas, Brokkollie, sweetcorn, buns and ncie things. Also gets the wonky carrots, suede and collieflower to freeze down! So blanked off and listening too me muzic. Chopped up the carrots and suede. Blanked off too the bags, Collieflower done as well! Then cleared up as we can not has the BoPsie getting her pinkies wet! Then all of a sudden, while Barrie Masters was strumming too Beginning of the End. Destruction. BoPsie pills box hits the deck! Her nail things fall as well as her nail sanders. I has not seen Eddie and the Hot Rods do that since Grimsby College of Technology in December 1978 on mes apprenticeship! Gone! Mind you back then we had to right the principle a letter of apology bas to why bad it was, and told that we weres fortunate not to be 18, and attend! I still remember the course leader looking at us all knowing that most of his class had actually been there! Those of an age to has knows beta, were ushered out of the college that day! I can still her the tones of 'Let that bee a lissone to yous!' Please be aware, the muzic would offend & and others!
Now as he has done the veges, he was late for teh elevenses, butt no problem as I has the wafer tooday with the seal bar! BoPsie gets all the choklit digestives! Tee was mugged!
Watched the Dave opf the postman last nite. Court up with the Uni challenge. Lemonade and cheese was consumed. Cocoa and crumpet as usual.

Ampersand, if you have a mobile phone, try contacting your landline phone service provider about the problem. Alternatively you might find it easier to go on to their website - if they have a web chat/live chat facility, it will be easy to explain the problem to them. One life - your life - live it!12

Oh ampersand - I thought you were going yesterday for a final dressing removal. This is really a big job! Please try to do as you're told.
BoP - Cleethorpes? Not been there for ages.
Another bright but very cold day. Still little patches of snow and lots of slippy ice.
Just made a chocolate cake. I seem to be going round a loop of making the same things, but never seem to have all the ingredients to make something different. Time to get organised, I think.
Lots of good ' keeping in touch' emails this week from far and wide, inc Canada and Australia. I'm enjoying replying, and waiting for replies.
Nearly finished my tiny elephant. To say it's so little, it's taken some knitting!
Happy Thursday everyone13
