Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens ok though it is so wet on the allotment the greenhouse is saturated inside. They do have some staging and a dry nest box.
3) Went to the tip.
4) Washing machine has broken but I booked Curry’s in to repair it. I’ll be doing a service wash, after I found out last year that such a thing exists!
5) Snow fell then went away again.
6) Tidied up a bit.
7) Bigger son made an excellent curry.
8) Did the virtual pub quiz.
9) In bed with my new hwb and will watch Casualty just now.13 -
Saturday pleasures:
lie in and reading on here as well as an actual book!
Defrosted the oldest freezer as the door had been left open and there was ice upon ice. Pleasure is that it’s done and much cleaner and tidier and didn’t have to throw much away, just some old fish and a few old ice creams, and there’s room to put in today’s click and collect 😊
Then a mostly lazy day reading the papers and watching a bit of tv
Roast chicken dinner as OH likes his roast on a Saturday so he can have wine 🍷 with it as no work on Sunday
We watched The Dig, a film on Netflix about the archeological dig at Sutton Hoo , quite enjoyable 😊
Have a peaceful, restful Sunday everyone 😘

For yesterday,
Capt S received his results, negative thank goodness so all good for hospital visit on Tuesday.
A very lazy day although did take small dog for two walks, wind was also lazy going through instead of around me, bbrrr.
Scrapped the last of the mincemeat out of the jar, added some dried fruit and made mincemeat buns, although technically muffins as used larger cases.
Good day on footie front and Utd stay top of the league.
Beloved is a bit meh about his food at the moment, although he did manage two cakes 😉, so just fancied a jacket spud for tea, with cheesy beans of course.14 -
Lainey, hope your beloved gets all the help needed. Great news on negative result.
Your photo of your dog brought a lump to my throat. It kept popping up to visit throughout the day. In a good way. I miss my Murphy so much.
Lovely photo.

Good morning
The most amazing sunrise. Went out in to frosty garden in dressing gown and slippers to get a photo. Photo is good but doesn't capture the dazzling -ness. I wish I could paint.
On that note, it's something I've been fancying trying. Had a go the other day. All I had was a piece of cardboard box and the grandchildren's neon bright acrylic paints! I know it's a poor workman...but really not the best set of tools! It didn't turn out badly tho so when shops open I might try properly.
Had a Chinese takeaway last night, and very good it was too. Loads left over so another meal for another day. Not today tho. Pork chops with various veg today.
Happy 🌞 Sunday everyone14 -
