Bala glad your brother enjoyed his birthday 😊
Walk round nearest lake
Was surprisingly nice weather and the sun was there somewhere as I could see my shadow!
Good to feel fresh air on my poorly face (I seem to have had a reaction to some gel I put on the spots that keep appearing, the spots look better than the effects of the treatment!)
It was much quieter over there than in recent walks so I didn’t have to people dodge
Stopped a couple of times for a few minutes of mindfulness just listening to the birds and the other sounds around me
Homemade chicken tikka masala for dinner. Made double quantity for dinner another day
Have a good day 😊

Ah bala what a lovely birthday you gave your brother! I had my 30th in lockdown and only my in laws really did anything (but they did a lot - nice meal for me, spa voucher, cook books, homemade cake, champagne!) My mum and sister sent me a text at 7pm and that was it, was a bit disappointing! Wish you were my sis!
My pleasures:
1. Spent 5-10 mins getting the bedroom in order this morning. Will be much nicer to get into tonight.
2. Have leftover stew and dumplings, crumble and bean chilli in the fridge so might not need to cook today. Will give me a chance to get ahead on other things.
3. Made a gorgeous smoothie yesterday morning - frozen black cherries, cocoa powder, bananas, soya milk, chia seeds, oats, flax seeds. Like black forest gateau...dans un verre!
4. Watching Bling Dynasty last night with DD(12) - good trashy fun!
5. Baby slept well last night, so we did too!14 -
For yesterday,
The alarm woke me from a dream where I had flown equine girlie abroad to do some dressage, realised at the last moment that I had forgotten the saddle and was panicking, weird!
Made some soda bread and we had that for lunch with split pea soup.
Spent afternoon with my horse, she is starting to shed her winter coat so the time of hair is upon us 😆
Watched last two episodes of Staged and then Uni Challenge.
Early night and the cosiness of reading in bed, listening to the wind and the rain hitting the windows.

Hello. Workety work is done. The big shifts anyway. There may be a couple of early starts to do catering for an hour but that would be okay as it’s all a bit of extra cash.
Very foggy this morning l walked to work. I’m such a driving woose! Don’t like driving in fog. Nor the dark. Nor heavy rain. Nor snow. Luckily works within a walking distance.Doggy walk was as far as was needed for business to be done then straight back
Had a good day at work. Felt very stressed on Sunday and not so today.
DD2 kindly picked me up as it was lashing with rain. We’ve had a severe weather warning.Mattress was picked up by council...driveway looks less steptoe and son than it did.Made a creamy chicken and veggie pasta for tea.Hot shower and jammies on.14 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday), while I ignore the storm raging outside...
1) not a bad sleep.
2) helpful emails from 3 different members of staff at smaller son’s college. They’re putting work online for him.
3) Spent a few hours with bigger son in the camp he is making in the forest.
4) Hens ok.
5) Cleaned kitchen properly and it looks much better now.
6) About to watch Holby City.

over 20 years since i was in SF BOP
1) up early again (though frittered the time away on urgent emails lol)
2) a huge roll of cloud on the River Tay hung there most of the day
3) met a friend for a dog walk, suitably masked (not the dogs). We went to the top of Balgay to admire the Haar - there were columns growing out of it in places - we reckon that was caused by large buildings
4) on the way home the fog vanished as quickly as it arrived
5) just made a huge pot of comforting pasta, tomato sauce and chopped up frankfurters. and now watching His Dark MaterialsMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good Morning
Tickled pink yesterday. On the news a story (true) with video footage of a man and his dog, a Lurcher. The man had broken his leg so it was in a cast but he was walking on crutches. He noticed that his dog was limping badly so off to the vets. After oodles of money, x-rays etc, they realised the dog was limping in empathy/sympathy for his beloved human. The cockles of my heart were glowing with warmth.
Mum and Dad were scheduled to have their vaccine yesterday. Will phone them today to see how it went. Must admit am hugely relieved as my Dad reacted very badly to a flu vaccine and I was concerned that he would resist this one. But not so, thankfully.
Actually got to the shops when there were quite a few things rtc, that I would use. Again tickled pink !
(I really must try another colour.....tee-hee).
Have a wonderful day.........
