Bala - sound like excellent birthday plans for your brother.
S Sue - some more hugs
BoP - when we were in San Francisco,we had a ride on a Blackpool tram, which we were ridiculously excited about. Goodness knows, I'd been on them plenty of times in Blackpool! ( we went on the trolleys too, of course)
Family tree work plodding on, but it's reaching the stage where the connections are very tenuous. As I come from a long line of miners and mill workers, there is very little accurate documentation pre censuses, and a lot post census is very hazy as they weren't averse to altering the facts ( to make sure a child appeared to have been born ' in wedlock' for example)
Sorry, can't think of anything else to say. I'm not sad, just a bit flat!
Hope everyone else feels a bit livelier! Tomorrow is another day ....
Happy sunny Sunday everyone

Cocketts - I only went to look at the puppy as my sister couldn't travel. She won't be collecting the puppy until the appropriate time. My sister wanted a check that the puppy looked healthy and the Mum was ok to check it was reputable.14

Hello. Work done! Hurrah. Not in tomorrow. Was almost a ten hour shift that at times seemed to go on forever and then it was hometime.Up early...even earlier than normal.Went a walk with doggy and we both got a bit spooked by something. Not sure what but both of us were freaked by something ( a noise / feeling of unease )so it was time to go home!Feeling of foreboding came to work with me and was a tad stressed by it. Very busy with catering for first 4 hours. Then steady with customers once we were open. They can’t come in to shop.Actually got some tips ( not very much but in the jars!)
Went into supermarket after work as had to buy a card for my mum to send. Got two very rtc cyclamen plants.Home and DD2 had already eaten when she got in from work so had a nice tea all by myself of chicken pie and veggies. The proper food sprouts from Christmas are finally finished. Mainly just me that likes them. DD2 can manage one or two!Hello doggy! I love you and actually missed him today. He’s such good company.
There was the most stunning sunrise this morning. And mainly a nice enough day but now lashing with rain.14 -
Evening all
Pleasures for today
1. a lovely walk with OH at a local bird reserve. Did 5.5 miles around some lakes, up a hill and along the river. So lucky to have all this only a very short distance from home.
2. Nice lunch of stilton, bacon and avo salad - although the bacon was not so great.
3. Cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen - doing it is not a pleasure but having done it is. Listened to ISIHAC and Mark Steel's in town while doing so
4. OH cooked a nice lasagne for tea
5. Washing partially dried on the line
Have a great evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens17 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) a lie in
2) Sainsbury’s order arrived
3) hens ok
4) bumped into a friend of my dad’s near the allotment, feeding his sheep. I’m not sure I’ve ever spoken to him before, though we do wave. We had a chat for about half an hour and I was the second person he’d spoken to in person this year.
5) carried my walk on after feeding the hens, nearly in to the next village.
6) Diet continues. Spanish chicken for tea.16 -
1. Via strange paths, have not long trundled+stumbled onto a Mammoth new-2-& Spookymens Chorale rendition! 11 years old. How has this happened? & is a spooky groupie🥰
https://youtu.be/utUh_i44opM
2. Huge call from France earlier♥️
🇫🇷🇳🇿👏 It's a long, strong, enduring friendship: M. r-w+minor aristo, & l-w founder family colonial🌹. We've never fallen out. We just don't, ce soir aired parallel rants😁.
3. Radical re-pot of a £1 rescue jasmine(was £9.99), supposedly strongly scented, ex Scotsdales several weeks ago. It will or it won't - fingers🤞. On verra.
4. Similarly, exquisite scent from my chamomeles/wintersweet along path, blooming long this year. Really lingering and pervasive - and reassuring, sense of smell being a pandemic concern point. Occasional thoughts along this line.
5. Washing out, while jackdaws, robin, collared doves, blackbirds, feasted all around. Told rhubarb to go back to sleep - coming up too soon. Sticky buds twig, ditto - seems to have taken. Lemon balm resurfacing.
As for &'s olives, what a crop!😚Quick harvest in cold wind😁 after frozen Zoom Church, & and signal.

Respite where needed, Sue. Do begin with yourself. You are worth your own kindness. Do try, especially now.
Such a boost, Frith - overdue for you and long deserved.
Dfv - yes, it IS Erma Bombeck. Thankyou!♥️
