Happycas, ditto a day of house work here also.
1 We woke up early to massive snowflakes falling, we let the ferrets out to explore, and promptly had heart failure when we saw they have dug out of the garden via the pond pump. So promptly did a headcount. We are lucky they like it here, but we need to do some concreting to make sure they can’t get out and it’s not the weather for it! Our little girl ferret was popping up, dancing around then going back down the hole they had achieved and out the other side which is still in our garden just not “ferret proof” in that bit.
2 I got on with various bits, I checked the dates on all the bits we have in stock, I popped mince pies in the freezer, and dug out the panettone to eat with cream that also needs using up. I cleaned out the fridge entirely, as we haven’t had shopping delivered since before Christmas and its not due for another week its an opportunity to clean things and use things up, and took the opportunity to meal plan for the week.
3 Hoovered and tidied the whole house, and set to on halving one of the book piles, so far I have a books too the in laws well at some point in the future bagged up and books to CS 10 books in each pile so far, it’s slow progress but it is progress.
4 Ordered DH a couple of zip through fleeces half price in the sale, as his shoulder is very painful and the operation won’t be as soon as hoped with the pandemic.
5 DH talked with the Dr, and we are now looking at buying a blood pressure monitor and oxygen checker, we could go on the wait list but she doesn’t want us to make the extra trips out, and as we would need it for continual measuring, hygiene etc. But can’t get it prescribed.

Hello. Bedtime for me as I was up & at ‘em early this morning. And I’m tired so shall sleep in bed rather than the sofa.
Nice walk to work. Still snow covered ( was -6o) and more snow forecast for tonight.
Walk home. Did a doorstep delivery on way home. Dropped something off for a friend.
Hoovered, washed floors, moved dining table, moved dining table back the way it was! Cleaned downstairs loo.
Nice doggy walk in the snow.
Had a lovely 2 hour chat to my friend in Melbourne. Loads to talk about! Discovered later why she couldn’t get through to me on my mobile ( I unwittingly was on airplane mode 🤪)
Little birdies in the garden. My favourite the robin in my Christmas tree. Looked like a scene from a Christmas card.Sausage rolls and beans for tea. Lurking in the freezer for too long so a bit more room.
Chats with neighbours.Chat to niece with a very noisy young gentleman in the background. Miss them so much.Various texts sent back and forth to friends. Have a few going through tough times so like to just say hello.16 -

happycas some was filmed in Bolton but imho dundee is well worth a visit - we can meet for a coffee
1) slept till the alarm went off for 8 - must have needed it!
2) short walk with the dogs - bright winter sunshine
3) birds on the birdfeeders (have now remembered to put water out for them as all is frozen)
4) longer walk after lunchtime meeting - so good getting out in the sun. met 3 friends en route so socially distanced catch-ups
5) pigs in blankets for tea with hm oven chips - my hm oven chips have a huge vote of approval from dd2 and ds so this is good
indoor tree is down, porch tree is today an epiphany tree (changed angel for star topper) and will tomorrow become a winter tree. overall a good day (and not a mention of politics either side of the pond. ssshhhhhhhh)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

1. Car passed its MOT. Nothing needed to be dine. Tyre also didn't have a slow puncture so it wasn't changed but they did something to the tyre instead.
2. At other place of work and was ok. Had a long chat with someone there.
3. DS2 phoned so long chat with him. He was asked to work at the last minute.
4. Managed another day without food shopping. Will need fruit and veg soon.
5. Free lunch at work. Hadn't had it for a while.16 -
Good Morning Lovelies,
I need to read back......I have been MIA lurking on OS boards in search of a New Year Challenge........no inspiration so far, but Frugality is my watch word!Recents.....1. DS1GF little party was a success........a few weeks ago we were planning a trip to the shops for her, with takeaway food. All feeling it was a bit lame.......in hindsight it seems such a fantastic idea! May be next year.......
2. Xmas decos down, before 12th night. Although I do think there should be new legislation Which requires us all to keep the twinkly lights up for 2021. It seems very bare, but I have reclaimed the surfaces 🥳
3. Not having to go back to work. However, the financial implications of that are huge. Trying to claim my pensions turns out to be really difficult.......no wonder people are tempted to engage a 'consultant' to do it for them, then get scammed.4. Helping DD with some dance projects, and becoming the star of one of her videos. 🤣 Honestly, it would be easier to train a goldfish, than teach me to dance!5. Snow.BoP: Rockport will be on my list for next time 🙂Have a lovely day 🙂In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)
We have more in common than that which divides us. (Jo Cox)16 -
For yesterday,
Early up as needed to get some jobs done before getting over to the yard for a vet visit, all sorted.
Equine girlie had her annual vaccination and teeth done, it was the free call out day for our area so couldn’t choose the vet and it was a male. My girlie doesn’t like strange men at all and went all white eyed on me. Too late for sedation at this point so the next 10 minutes were quite frantic! Good thing was that apart from a couple of small sharp points her teeth weren’t bad at all, but a bad thing was that she stood hard on my toe. Sorry for the expletive Mr Vet man!
It was worse when I took my boot off to see, thank goodness for Arnica in medicine drawer 🙄
Had forgotten to make the sausage rolls at xmas so the sausage meat was still in freezer, got it out, made some pastry and we had a sausage plait instead.
Watched the new series of Grand Designs, cripes, if ever the saying more money than sense was applicable. Then turned over for news and saw the appalling scenes from the US.13
