That soup looks delicious DD.For yesterday,
Busy morning, making bread, tackling Mount Ironmore and having a general tidy up.
Went out to feed store for horse chaff, friends of mine that have recently moved into larger premises, all looked good and wished them well.
Quickly made some mackerel pate and that on toast was lunch.
Over at the yard, groomed girlie and sorted out feed bins.Yes, we watched 24 hours too Frith and of course remember the case from local news, how the police keep their temper at times I have no idea!15 -
Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday.....
The HT is totally fixed.
Online school for the HT - no hitches, glitches or problems. His school have been really good. HT happy as it means plenty of cups of tea made by me which obviosuly doesn't happen in real school.
I went to the bank first thing to pay money in. The HT is not a big spender so when people gave him cash for Christmas he gave me the money and I transferred the equivalent into his bank account. I tend to use my card to pay for things so no need for cash just now. The pleasure was that there wasn't a queue. Sometimes it's out of the door.
Called in at @sda on the way home for some things that can't be acquired online. Nothing exotic - a particular type of pasta sauce that the HT prefers being one of them and some cat fud which can be a bit hit and miss online. Not many people in store thankfully. The pleasure was in finishing and leaving as I'm not a fan of shopping.
First day back at work after Christmas went well. Back into the normal routine as if we'd never had a break.
Take care all of you

Right !
Couldn't sleep last night. Worry, worry, worry. So got up and carried on sorting/decluttering. Have been useless today but inroads have been made. Am determined to do this time, what everyone did last time. Was very distracted with 3 of my beloveds in hospital (brother, dad, uncle) but all recovered, thankfully.
So, onwards and upwards. Am also sorting out finances. Opened new bank account where they round up every pound and put it in a savings pot. Am saving to become debt free and free and free.
Happycas, meant to say thank you for huge boost of encouragement. I LOVE being called a girl..............tee-hee.......
House Elf I ALMOST bought a purple hair dye..........eek !

Sorry, have to add this......
'Stuck Like Glue' (Tiggy's new name) is gently snoring beside me and of course you cannot get a breath of fresh air between our contact points. But just had overwhelming feeling of gratitude for her. All the warmth (all kinds), the shared love, the antics and foibles. I don't want her to be so dependent on me (for her sake) but she is ageing and I haven't the heart for re-training. So I am viewing all her needs as gifts, making me useful.
(Unless anyone thinks this is really bad for her and that I should do something).

Hello all
Not a good start to a new year, even without pesky viruses ( varii?)
DD went for keyhole day surgery today, but complications meant it turned into proper incision, stay in for 3 days surgery. Of course, no visitors allowed, tho they are allowing her partner to take some clothes etc and see her for a few minutes. We have spoken on the phone and she sounds fine, relieved it's over, but I would love to see her. Promise of FaceTime tomorrow to keep me going.
Sorry, I sound very needy. But I am!
Normal service will be resumed tomorrow, hopefully.
Happy rest of Tuesday everyone15 -
What do you need Happycass ?
I can send you my love (doing it now) a huge warm hug and best wishes, speedy recovery for your daughter.
You don't sound needy. You sound like a loving mother.

Evening all
DforV - nice to 'see' you. Epic as ever.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Back to work - boring work (marking) but it was good to have a bit of structure.
2. A long walk in a mud bath the fields. Was good for the buttocks
3. Cooked risotto - i don't do much cooking these days so i enjoyed it.
4. Washing hung out
5. Watched Rebecca - not quite the same as the original but enjoyable none the less.
And today
1. More marking ticked off (although more arrived)
2. more washing hung out
3. left over risotto for tea
4. A walk up the lane
5. DD marginally better
Have a good evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
Hello. Very chilly here though it’s been another beautiful day with a few flurries of snow.Up early. Out with doggy for quick walk before heading to work.Lovely walk to work. We still have snow so a nice crunchy walk. Sky starting to lighten and the rooks all heading out for the day.And then aaaaargh the slowest day known to mankind at work. So quiet for a big stretch but we did lots of cleaning ( I’m of the ‘if you’re leaning you could be cleaning ‘ brigade and can always find the younger girls a job to do!) got a bit of prep done for catering in the morning,
A handful of coins for tips but every little counts!Phoned DD2’ are you busy? Can you pick me up?’ Thankfully she said yes. The rooks were just heading home when I came out, beautiful sky.Had to drop stuff off at boss then popped into colleague who’s on mat leave with a wee treat for her.Home and hello doggy though he’s had DD2 company all day.Made pasta for tea using up veg lurking in the fridge, had leftover salad from work ( I may have over anticipated how busy we were going to be ( not!)
There that’s plenty things on a worky day! Up early again in the morning.14
