5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

1. DD has started to help around the house more, now she isn't 'commuting' to and from school each day. Just a few loads of laundry and some dishwasher unloading has really helped. She is a bit clumsy and forgetful (dyspraxic) so I have to let my standards slip a bit but the help is definitely welcome.
2. DH doing some overtime end of Jan, should equate to roughtly £260-280 extra in the pay packet. Every little helps!
3. Really enjoying How to Get Away With Murder on Netflix. Not sure it's OS other than cheap entertainment. Even had a wee Bourbon in front of it last night.
4. Baby didn't sleep *too* badly. At some point I'm going to hit a brick wall of fatigue, but not yet. I'm hoping we can have a date night (at home) next month, as we are in a childcare bubble which is fine where we are. But it won't be a night of torrid passion, oh no, it will be a night of delicious slumber.
5. Food, glorious food. I've started a sourdough starter. Called her Margaret. She seems to be doing nicely and I can apparently make my first loaf next Tuesday. We are doing pretty well with meal planning and no top up shopping, though we are out of squash and tea so I'm waiting for the troops to revolt. I flexed the plan a bit last night to use up some kale and did vegan creamy wholemeal pasta with kale ('creamy' sauce was actually blended carrot, nutritional yeast, almond butter and other crazy things, but nutritious and yum). The baby loved it.15 -
Brass Balls!
Buzzard Tikka, proper food!
Elf Go just out of season, wes did! We had lunch inn Ray Moore's! Lots a artists places, some good, but some really not so!
LT How cans yous not do snorker roles? Now let's kick it ...
Now as yous nose, BoP is no connected to the Docks today! Still I has lots too do, so I gets up and has me brakfest, poached egg on toast and mushrooms! Tuck BoPsie too the Salt Mine, then rushed home as I has jobs two do! Brass Balls Has adopted attitude of Kitty! She is not venturing out, nor is BoP! End of!
Had moor of the Buzzard Grumponola last eve and finished that carp rice. I can say that ifs yous eat the carp, the amount of muck rinsed out would pollute the pacific! I use normal long gain rice, remember that the bashcarpi rice is really long gain with a hefty price tag! Good job we had only one packet. I should has lets it get pout of date and fed too the birds! I wander ifs all ready meals are as full of such carp as well! AVOID!
Watched some moor of the letterman last evening as I could not finds the film to watch! Then another run of the comics getting coffee! Wobbleades and cheeses were consumed!
Now sats again and mes mug of tea, with crumble nut choklate biscuit! Watching the bash!

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
Not having to go out and scrape the car first thing
HT did online school without any complaints
I made gingerbread biscuits and chocolate brownies. The HT was especially pleased to see the brownies.
Crossed off everything on my "to do" list - to be fair it wasn't a long list but I'm still counting it as a victory
Some crochet - I'm making a throw for my bed so it doubles as a blanket across my lap while I'm making it. Most of the big things that I make are done during winter.
Hugs SSue
Take care all of you

Good afternoon
S Sue - like Bala says, chat, moan, rant on here. Such a difficult time for you. More virtual hugs coming your way. X
D Doll - if only....either meet for coffee or travel to a new area!! Hey ho...All manner of things will be well...one day.
Was all fired up to go for a walk this morning until I saw the frost. My neighbour was Sister on an orthopaedic ward for years and she hated frosty weather. Seems lots of old ladies decide it's a good plan to go out for a paper or loaf of bread and end up in hospital with a broken hip. As I now fit into the old lady category, not a good idea anytime, but especially not this year. So more housework it is then. Housework seems to be one thing I never run out of!
It's a sunny day though so am 'sunbathing ' and reading inside, and remembering sunny holidays
Happy 🌞day everyone

Another quiet day in quietsville.
Up early. Was forecast for heavy snow but there had just been a smattering when the dog and I went out...enough to leave our footprints. Then we went a big walk through the fields mid morning. Ground was crunchy which is much better than soggy which is coming!Had a lovely wall unit/vintage cabinet from Melbourne that suited my big old house but just got in the way here and was just a dust collector in DD1 room. Messaged a friend who does have a big old house to see if she would like it and yes she would. So dropped that off at hers and had a nice chatter in the driveway.
Had a little snoozette.Moved ( dragged and awkwardly angled) a chair from my room to my new office. Just need new to me curtains and it’s done.Friend dropped by with some lovely flowers. Which was unexpected. Quick doorstep chatter with her.Upstairs all hoovered. Bedrooms are tidy and bathrooms are clean.15 -

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) not a bad sleep.
2) ordered a new wheel for the car off EBay so we shall be back on the road soon.
3) a mammoth day of cooking. 4 portions of lamb hotpot and 8 portions of Spaghetti Bolognese for the freezer. Omelettes for lunch. Seafood in cream and leek sauce for tea.
4) hens ok.
5) more snow today. This is the third load so we’ve been white over since (I think) Sunday.

Hello
another 'cannot sleep' night so am slowly going through some paperwork.
Managed to get my brother out for a walk. It's becoming more and more difficult. But the day was blue and crisp. Lovely.
My neighbours walnut tree, that leans mostly over our garage, is leafless at the moment. It was easy to spot 3 crows waiting patiently for me at the crack of dawn. Was too tired to work out if it was Flo & Co. Hope so.
Thanks to Blackbeard (you knows who you is !) I put so much out for my menagerie. I have even stopped cutting up chicken bones as my foxes happily took 2 large lamb bones. If they can manage that, they can manage anything. I am always heartened to see empty bowls. Today put out some scones and they were gone within minutes.
Hope you are all sleeping with wonderful dreams..........
