Hello. A whole day off with no early morning work! ( that’ll be the next few days though! ) I’ve got a sore shoulder and can’t get it massaged as we are in lockdown. Was particularly sore last night ( and I generally do ache after my two days but this was very sore) so ended up coming downstairs as I couldn’t sleep. Managed to doze off after a bit on the sofa.First of December and another first of a month and oooft it’s a hard one. So was a bit sobby and my friend who messages me on the first every month to let me know she’s thinking of me sent me a lovely message and that made me sob more then I looked out the front ( living room at the back ) and it was the most stunning sunrise.Got the tree moved into position. Hadn’t quite decided till then where to put it. So it’s between the dining/kitchen end of the house ( I’m all open plan) where it’s not near a heat source. Tree has a bit of a wonky look and away to the side and it’s potted so not much I could do! And each bauble and decoration is like an absolute emotional assault so more sobbing. And then I went into town to pick up my wreath DIY kit! As no workshop this year. So watched the video and did that late morning, with a doggy at my feet. So that’s on the front door.nipped into M&S whilst in town and got a few nice things there for eating and for DD2 advent.Continued to potter around with decorating the house but less is more ( well less for me) so a whole pile of stuff on stairs to go back up. I’ve just not been back upstairs!Went a walk down woods to put a bauble on OH tree. Had a nice walk but oooft it’s hard that we face another Christmas without him here. But at least his trees a tiny bit festive! It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk though chilly it was dry.
Home and finally did my plants at front door. And swept up and washed doorsill...again...blooming muddy dog paw prints!Met friends husband with new puppy. Chatted. Then took my doggy out and met friend so chatted to her and said I’ve just seen your doggy! Stood chatting for a while.Emptied boot of my car from Saturday nights photo shoot at works props! It’s been pitch black and rainy every night when I’m getting in from work so it’s in and all put away .
Boss dropped stuff off for my early morning stint! Chatted with her for a bit.Need to venture upstairs and put stuff away and hang up some washing.14 -

1 Our little stray Nestle, has had an odd cough, last night it got really bad and kept us up all night, he was straight off to the vets this morning, at the moment we are hoping best case of chest infection he’s had a painkiller jab and antibiotics, and now twice a day treatment, we have everything crossed should see an improvement by Weds evening if it is. If not he’s back to the vet on Fri.
2 I have sat here working down freezers but we are still well stocked and realised I need to re batch cook again, should we fall ill, we have chicken soup, but no easy access to healthy meals without cooking from scratch, so I am adding it to the to do list to make and freeze them.
3 I am really craving a takeaway but we have food, and DH is insisting on deliveries rather than the risk of shopping. So I cooked up a curry packed with good things, garlic, turmeric etc. Althou it was somewhat too hot this time.
4 Re stocked all the bird feeders and “fed the pond” but I can’t see what’s in it at the moment.
5 There might be a bit of cheesecake when it defrosts.
Really must get into the loft for the advent lorry, and the half christmas tree, animal proof as it hangs from the curtain pole.

Finally managed to get a prescription for Tiggy (arthritis pain killers). Finally managed to upload it to relevant site (this is a miracle for me) so hopefully will receive tablets soon. The difference in cost is mind-boggling.
Walked Tiggy yesterday with a quick trip through the park. The sky was 'blue de blue' (as my Dad would say) the air crisp and fresh. Truly a pleasure. Lots of earthy autumn scents.
Car back from garage. MOT done and damage fixed. Nothing except windscreen wipers for MOT. Most of the cost was the damage (headlight, bumper etc) so that was a relief.
I love my mechanic. He is so honest. And has a wicked sense of humour. When he said that the wipers needed changing I said 'but you changed them last year'.....to which he replied.........'Funny that...........I had a meal yesterday but I've got to have another one today..........changed my lounge carpet 10 years ago, gotta change it again..........' etc etc...........he had me in stitches.
(I don't even know why I said what I said..........but so glad that I did !).
Hugs to all

1. A couple of people cheered me up at work. Otherwise it is such a depressing atmosphere it's as if they want people to be negative and downtrodden - unless you are one of the chosen few. I must add that it is the department I work in that is like that and not rest of hospital.
2. Seeing a Mum walk her children to school. I see them often and they are always talking to each other and interacting.
3. Texts with a friend.. She spent the day busily sewing.
4. DS1 called in to collect his advent calendar.
5. Lit my advent candle. I do start getting excited now for Christmas. DH had the chocolate from my work advent calendar.12 -
Hugs 🤗 to all those feeling sad
Beautiful morning yesterday
Met my oldest friend and her doggy in my favourite park for a catch up and walk
That doggy is such a greedy thing and managed to pinch half my friend’s sausage in a roll before she could stop her!
We agreed not to buy each other a Christmas 🎄 🎁 this year but to make next year’s birthday 🎁 extra special by hopefully doing something or going somewhere together 😊
Absolutely beautiful sky/sunrise this morning - blue streaked with orange - lifts my spirit
Have a great day everyone 😊😊11 -

For yesterday,
Very cold so pulled out the warm Arran jumper that my DM knitted me too many years ago to remember, it always feels like she is giving me a hug.
Made some Rock Cakes as tins empty, mixed fruit and spice makes the kitchen smell so good, to celebrate I put the snowman bunting up in there, I am slowly decorating.
Inspired by many on here I dug out my copy of the Christmas Chronicles and was soon immersed, made me long to visit a festive market.
Lunged my girlie, she worked hard and well. Her winter coat has really come through now, so thick, so white.
We lit our Advent candle too and watched the best bits of GBBO.11
