Ampersand - glad thumb is on the mend. See what happens when you do as you are told!
Another vote for Sky Arts. Lots to watch there when other channels offerings are sparse.
Today
"Rain before seven, fine before eleven " worked again ( it nearly always does.. Why is that?) and so I could go for a walk without getting wet.
Surprised by how many flowers are still blooming in the gardens I passed. It has been mild so far this year.
The sound of children playing out as I passed the infant school. Carefree laughter.
Christmas Chronicles. I don't know when I last bought a new hardback book for myself, but this has been well worth the indulgence.
Leftovers Monday has revealed enough for a spicy shepherd's pie ( chilli, mince in gravy, mash and some roasted peppers. All smallish portions but enough when put together to make a tasty meal)
Happy last day of November everyone

Hello. And full day number two is done. Hurrah! Went on for a while and we were so quiet, quietest day in the kitchen ever I think! But good company, Christmas tunes ( though after six hours I was slightly over it!) and considering it was quiet we got some tips! In the jam jars.Went to bed so early last night as I was so tired. Slept for long spells. Up at 5am. Walked doggy and then hoovered and washed floors, cleaned downstairs loo and my bathroom. Hung a load of washing up. Tidied kitchen and scrubbed dining table which had kind of been covered in piles of stuff the boyo was taking,
Nipped into supermarket and got a few things RTC. Almost forgot the lonely banana...shop girl said is this yours? Yes, it’s for the dog! ( to take his tablets with...gets them popped into a wee chunk of banana)
Home. Hello doggy yes I have missed you too.Made BLT ( but without the T...I didn’t like the look of them!) for tea. Chatted with DD2.And now it’s hot shower and jammies time! ( shall go the late walk in my jammies! )
oh and a rather lovely surprise parcel today! Thank you very much ....she knows who she is ! Was delighted!12 -
As I was walking into a shop noticed a young boy, around 10, with the most beautiful whippet I think I have ever seen. Of course I had to stop, stroke, pet and sing-song all my nonsense to the poor dog.
As I turned to leave I remarked to the young boy that with such a lovely dog he was going to meet lots of old potty women like me. Even as I was saying this he was nodding his head vigorously and then with wide open eyes he said 'there are LOADS of them !'
Myself and a few others couldn't stop laughing.

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
Called to see a friend who is semi invalid. I do jobs for her that she can't manage herself so we also had a chat and a cuppa.
Disposed of some cat food that the cat won't eat (just why are cats so fussy?) - hers eats anything
Came home and started taking stuff off my old pc. I've had the new one 11 months so well overdue
Old pc reset and updated finally (10:30 last night which is why I didn't post yesterday. I can only have one at a time plugged in without adding an extra monitor/keyboard etc.
Easy but yummy dinner. Sausage, hash browns and beans for the HT (proper butchers sausages BoP), jacket spud, cheese and beanss for me.
Bala I never think of you as old.
Take care all of you
