Hope today is better for you Bala x
For yesterday,
Stopping at 10.30 for a hot drink and to try our luck with the Pop master quiz, will miss this if beloved goes back to working in the company’s office.
Fasted all morning but then treated ourselves to fish & chips that comes to the village every Thursday.
Bid and won on an online auction organised by local animal shelter, good cause as in aid of Romanian street dogs and my little one is now the proud owner of a special doggie drying towel.
Bit of a grey dreary day so having a candle lit all day, orange and clove.
Early night and reading in bed.

Thanks Lainey
Day off to good start. Pet shop open, dried tripe for Tiggy (YUK !) and as many fat balls as I could afford for the birds.
Congrats on win.

It's Off!
Comet Racer Grosvenor House. DH.88. This aircraft won the MacRobertson Air Race in 1934 to celebrate the centenary of Melbourne. IT took just under 71 hours to fly from Mildenhall to Melbourne. Today you could do it in a day! This aircraft is now at the Shuttleworth collection.
& see below for Kitty's latest deeds!to the needy, and the early risers!
This is the update!
Watched the proper football last day, gooners, and they had fans inn at last. Very different to seeing themn play in a so called empty swimming pool! Though for DD, I cannot bare to watch LieSter! Wobbleades and cheeses were consumed. We had smoked wood of apple cheeses as well!
Was all sets too watch the cricket this day, crumble chokchip cookie in hand, mug of tea and Kitty on her throne. Put the box on and it is off! Booo. Well I still hads me cookie and tea!
Nows on abouts Kitty! Stupid cat, was outside inn the reign, with her head through the flap into the utility, meowing lett me inn! No Kitty, you were inn! No, she weighted for her BoP to open the door and let her in. Bloody women! She knows she is one! I fed her as well!
Did quick round with the hover thing this morning, as it is a short weak I has time too do so, this means that BoPsie has moor wine time! Freshed aired as well with open windas. Oh windas, we had our windoiw displays up last nite on the street and they has gone down well! We are all mucking inn this year to bring some cheer!
Oh, the Kedgeree Recipe! Here it is!
Serves too!
One decent fillet of the smoked haddock, non icelandic. Poach inn the pan until cooked. Plaice on plate inn the oven too keep warm. Drain offs the water and use to do the rice. Boil rice inn the pan!
Inn the frying pan, finely chopped onions (see BoP does not always use toe nail onions!), and the bitsers from the fridge, such as mushroom, celery, peas, peppers etc! Add some termites (Turmeric), coriander and chilli too taste. When rice is done, toss inn too frying pan and then with whisked egg, stir through! Put all inn too the dish. Now with the poached haddock, use too forks and flake the fish over the top! Toss parsley on top and serve. Proper Food and Good for You!
Remember that BoP has declared Brown rice unfit for humane consumption, AVOID!
Now I has too cut a steal and do bits, cookies as well!
Keep Paxo, the Sage and Onion version! This is the only plaice too bee!

Cannot wait until later, have to report this now because Flo & Co have been very naughty !
Was in the kitchen, completed my jobs, started to open packet of fat balls for the birds and Flo & Co came swooping in making a racket. (I swear it's ESP). Have noticed they make a racket, puff up their feathers and poop. Clearly marking their territory. Went outside, fed them, came back in.
At this point Tiggy wandered into the kitchen and noticed movement so bounded up to the door making her own racket. I wouldn't let her out until I was sure they had flown a safe distance away. This is more for Tiggy's safety as with her awful eyesight I don't want her banging into things when in pursuit. This is where the fun starts.
Once Tiggy had lost interest in an empty bird/feeding table she started following a scent parallel to the fence. Flo & Co flew back in and walked without a sound up and down the fence, mimicking Tiggy's progress. Of course with her nose to the ground she didn't notice them above. They knew this and it really seemed as if they were having fun, certainly amused.
My brother and I couldn't believe what we were watching. The phrase ' Well I never !' springs to mind.

Oh strewth. They say habits are easy to form, aye well I can vouch bad habits are a chore to break!Cranky - absolutely right to ban screentime for that hour before bed - it Will improve sleep quality.mhagster - the little Aussie lass over here has another family in you & DD - it is tough & worrying but she has you to explain things. Oh poor Haggis dog!DundeeDoll - wasn't that Moon a corker! You got chucked out of Teams? Awed - we're still trying. Zoom we fall off like toddlers on sofas. Canny DD getting a really good broadband package plus free sport for a while!Suffolksue - I think a tablet is an Excellent idea - it gives him another source of stimulation, even if that can be disheartening. Also the rest of the family can video call, giving you (admittedly virtual) backup.Bala - a crockpot is one of the best ways to get a lot of cooking done in a short time while leaving you with hours of flavours! Inspired to change provider, but January will see end of contract. Owch - amidst pain there can be razor sharp words not meant. Dead right to see this & try not to bleed but stil owch. It takes a very special love to buy dried tripe. Aw, Tiggy & Flo & co!villagelife - if there is no power, you haven't broken the computer, it has gone thunk of its own volition.LaineyT - those 'few extra bits' are so much fun. Popmaster is such fun - I must try to fit work & meetings around it, as I recall it being a special treat a few years ago.Happycas - last year I had a wall of ivy & two washing machine pipes - it all made a fine wreath!BoP - if I want to watch a Bond poker film, I go for Casino Royale. It captures the crazy! Almost no resemblence to Fleming's words, but fun. Awed and admiring that you hoover, and with open windows. <Kedgeree inscribed for future reference>VJsmum - some days, a really early start works out well!Purple kitten - love the idea of a calendar celebrating 54 ferrets! Holding you & Nestle in my thoughts over the weekend.Ampersand - you bringer of singlehanded mischief & peals of laughter!OS Pleasures recentlyMy parents have been consulting - after all they’re hardly the only old creaks in town & were pointed to a list of suppliers, one of which Google happily showed me along with the “economy bottom wiper”. Think Ancient Roman sponge on a stick rendered in 21st century plastic - I don’t think we’ve laughed so hard on a family zoom in months! Some Monday team meetings reflect the “Ergh, Monday” but after a slow start we got on with sex in ferrets, slugs & the F1 crash - yes, we should all be mentally nimble & warned up for the department Christmas quiz tomorrow.... Even if a couple of us are more intrigued to know what will happen to the noisy pheasant in a colleague’s garden.Himself bemused by University challenge, specifically the chap calling names, who apparently sounds like he’s either blissed out on caffeine or has their tackle in a vice..Some days the Universe just laughs - sat listening to an external meditation class, son pops head round door “mum, who’d we buy the cooker from as Debenhams has collapsed?”... (John Lewis, current eta Feb 2021, ahem!) Pleasure was a guided meditation was able to get back into & restored (some of) my surface tranquilityThe Big Christmas Quiz has been won so thoroughly by one bloke the consensus is he got an email of questions earlier, as the alternative is Scary... The varying internet speeds & the selective muting of the quizmaster made it a bit more twitchy as well!Sister, using SAD FART successfully, should have replacement (new) washing machine within days! Meanwhile her kitchen floor is Very Clean, after all that soapy water.Got the Christmas letter out digitally! Stunningly early in the month for me. Now to get all the other addresses & send them. Not sure how many branches of family mother-in-law stil speaking to & really do not want to get a card to "all five" of us.Oh my Scouts - making mince pies we in theory have enough pastry for 12 but some have fewer “I’ve five bigguns!” Then the sibling scuffling for use of the star cutter & a voice piping “Daddy” and later wailing “but I wanted to do that!” We had a festive food quiz as the pastry rested in the fridge & now things are in the oven “Scouts Will help clear up!” (We watched, some did!)It’s snowing. Visually a pleasure but Miword the fleece blanket over my knees is wonderful (heating off in my office) Managed to get work phone snaps to upload straight into Team chat channel (slightly smug moment.) Colleague accidentally hit the wrong button & found himself apologising to an impromptu meeting of 7 of us, all of us amused rather than peeved & then on the chat suggesting we make a Habit of this as it was fun.Colleagues are starting with Christmas decorations (the one with primary age daughters has already, since mid November & has strong views on the Elf! Despite quarantining them) & I failed to mention I’ve been playing Christmas Carol concerts since Mid November too.As Advent Calendars go, the Bonne Maman one was rather pricey, but gosh the delighted bulletins from parents with a Different Something on the breakfast toast every morning (and the gleeful plottings to reuse the little jars), does make it worthwhile!Youngest has been awarded The Prize For Graphics - now to figure out how to attend school prize giving virtually & applaud him publicly.Health strength love & courage for all as have need, batteries blue tack & secure stepladders for all deploying decorations and as the weather gets colder, HWBs all round!14

Wow love the idea of a jam calender.
1 I have the crafty bug, started on a calendar, and may have trundled onto the works website, glitter pens etc oh I do love the “idea” of being crafty, I’m just rather lacking any artistic talent. There may have been an order placed thou to at least play with the idea.
2 Some good bacteria has arrived for both us and our little ferret after his antibiotic course.
3 This may sound like a sad pleasure, but I have literally a clothes mountain, and so much animal stuff I can’t clean as there is no space to dry with all the other drying. We’ve placed an order for a tumble dryer. Should be here in a week or two, I hope. Paid a little extra for them to take the current broken one away, as looking it up on eBay spares and repair has no value either. Oh they have just confirmed delivery for next week, 2 weeks earlier than expected.
4 Having to re jig the meal plan thanks to the very short dates of the shop delivery, so tonight is using up coleslaw, salad and I’ll put grilled chicken and a few new pots with it.
5 I’ve heard a few Christmas songs today and while we haven’t any decorations up, can feel a bit of festive spirit.
6 A talk I would have paid to see but it time clashed, is now available for free.

A very early good morning, I’m awake and alarm due off in half an hour so no point to trying to doze off again. Have another early morning stint at work. For Thursday a dog having a duvet day. He basically slept for most of day.I didn’t venture far and didn’t want to leave him alone in case he needed out.Tidied hall cupboard. Now the boy has gone all his muddy shoes have too. So hoovered all the dried mud. Emptied my allotment bag. Found another bag with £2.43 and an unused notebook ( handy as I’d just finished another one) and ...an uneaten but wrapped in plastic wrap pain au chocolat! Which was dated 2019 and apart from rather flat was still intact and not mouldy! Hmmm to preservatives in that!! No idea why or when or what even the occasion was that I needed that and a notebook and pen!Watched’ The Military Choir’ film on Amazon , it was nice . Cuddling up with my doggy,Wow! The weather changed quickly! From dry and bright we went to dark and very icy. Very slippy walk up to boss to get keys. But stunning star filled sky and bright moon. For Friday another early start. Out with doggy at 5.30am and just a light dusting of snow then by the time we were back in it was much heavier. Decided against scraping ice and de-misting car and walked to work in the snow. First part was a bit ‘why am I doing this?’ As I was walking face first into blizzard but when I turned a corner further up it was nice to just be part of the snow scene. The light ( in a still dark sky) the quiet, just my footprints at that time. Lovely. And first time I’ve walked to work since I’d hurt my foot.Work done and another bit earned! I’ve been catching up on I’m a Celeb as I work. The walk back was rather more slushy as lots of cars had turned the snow to smoosh. Had my mums veg in my rucksack.Home to defrost myself then round to mums with DD2. Walked but even more slushy and yukky, did her meds, hoovered and dusted the mantelpiece so she can put her Christmas cards up. DD2 found a load of photos and 4 tea lights in a box...oh there’s more over there! I’ve came home with a carrier bag full! Which as I’m currently using a lot with Christmas decorations was appreciated. By now all snow was away for walk home. Met one of OH and I friends so chatted to him.Pottered around in the afternoon.Had steak pie and leftover from work potatoes ( honestly my freezer if full of ‘em!) and RTC parsnips and peas. Was very yummy! Any pie left said DD2. Nope. There’s only two so no odd number and a portion left over. Or going from 5-4-3 and forgetting and having a leftover portion. Just two.Dog a good bit brighter than he was.Chat to boss when she dropped keys off.Chat to friend on phone.Cleaned and tidied my skinny slide out spice /herb/oils cupboard. Son had taken a load so was a measly amount left ( which is fine as he used loads ) and all rather grotty, so all nice and cleaned and will use what I have.Had a nice chat to him on phone. He’s never been a great phone person but we managed 22 minutes! He’s doing alright. It’s now 2 minutes till the alarm goes off so time to get up and face a very early start again!Have a lovely weekend 😊16

Not sure why I didn't post yesterday.
For Thursday
1. Didn't break any computers at work.
2. Gave someone much needed support at work
3. Other person at work took control of the work that needed to be done. It was good that we were not at the main place of work.
4. DS2 cooked fajitas for tea.
5. Finishing my book.
For Friday
1. Went to community fridge. Loads of fruit and veg today. Some lovely cauliflower and leeks and passion fruit amongst other things. I donated some egg boxes which had been requested.
2. Whilst buying Christmas present for my parents - a pot that I will fill with plants that give winter colour.- I did buy some poinsettias.
3. Bathroom is clean. Pleasure is that it is done and cleaned really well with cupboards emptied and sorted out.
4. Smell of beef and ale stew cooking most of the afternoon. It tasted good too.
5. Started wrapping Christmas presents.12
