For yesterday,
Snow and a fair bit of it! It was piling up on the windowsills and settling on the path. I went out to fill up bird feeders, bracing but lovely.
Small dog made me laugh as followed me out as usual and then stood there, lifting one paw after another as if to say hurry up Mum.
It stopped around 10 and as it was my errand day ventured out, picked up dog, bird and horse food plus filled up the car with petrol. Said car then started to beep warning light that drivers door was open when it wasn’t, accompanied by window slightly opening and shutting, oh cripes and not a pleasure!
HM chicken soup for lunch.
Over to see pony, her and all the others had had a duvet day so cosy in stable rug, shifted three bags of food into feed barn only to discover my fellow livery had same idea of stocking up and no room in stock bin. 2 bags back into car. Cuddles and carrots for pony then home again with car still beeping and opening window, sigh.
Hungry so enjoyed a scone with jam and two hours later LO lasagne and chips.14 -
Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
No snow - I'm not keen on the white stuff. I had texts from friends the other side of the Pennines saying that they had some but it was gone by evening.
I had several phone calls to make due to the post that arrived. The pleasure was that it was Friday and I could. That sort of post usually arrives on a Saturday morning when nothing can be done.
A day at home. I haven't finished helping my friend put her house back together after building work but I needed a day at home to do my own housework.
HT came home from school in a good mood. He'd even done some of his homework so he had less to do at the weekend.
Online gaming with best friend. There's new stuff for us to do so we have to concentrate more and talk a bit less but it's still good.
Congratulations to Youngest of DfV. I've been thinking of you a fair bit lately DfV. Remeber you're still a family, it's just that one of you is invisible. Love to you too Mhags. It's hard when the one hug that would make everything feel better is the one that isn't there.
Take care all of you14 -

Pleasures today......
Awoke after a good night's rest, knowing I am now off for 11 days.
Son took dog for walkies as a thank you for ironing his jacket. He and some friends are now away for the weekend so I have the place to myself (not counting the animal residents).
Choir tutorial for the alto part of Hark the Herald Angels Sing, sounds great.
First decorations up - garden lights and dining room. It's being done in instalments this year, less of a chore and more of a pleasure seeing the magic unfold slowly.
I would go and sort some laundry, but I have a little cat on my lap so can't. Cat owners will understand.
Anticipated pleasures later - hot shower, clean pyjamas and Strictly Come Dancing. One life - your life - live it!15 -
Read this today...........
Some examples of Occam's razor include the following: One of the fence posts is broken. Of possible explanations a) An albino moose, lost on its quest for its squirrel best friend, crashed through the fence in despair, or b) An old nail rusted through, "b" is more likely.
Just loved the idea of an Albino Moose having a squirrel as a best friend.
Happycass hope you're okay.
Have a lovely evening

Hi Bala. I'm fine thank you. It's just that all the days seem to run into each other at the moment, so I often feel I have nothing to say!
But
Today was good. We had our Saturday park meeting with DD. As we're now tier 3, her partner came too ( rule of 6 now applies). Fifth week and not rained off once. Gloriously sunny and DD had brought carrier bags so we could sit on the bench. Looked as if we were waiting for a bus, but good to see her anyway!
Made some melted snowman biscuits for DG children. Must admit I'm not usually one for fancy decorations but these were very easy. In normal years I would have made them with the children, but ....
Am enjoying Virgin River on Netflix. Used to watch Hart of Dixie a while ago and it's very similar. Nice easy watching.
And that's about it really. Will try harder, I promise.
Happy Saturday everyone

Hello. Star filled sky so it’s a tad chilly.Early morning stint. Done.Pain au chocolat for brunch ( a fresh one not one that’s been languishing)
DD2 went to work and the dog and I went for a snooze. Think it was well needed!Wrote a list of things to do and ticked them all off.Popped down to neighbours to drop something off. Quick chat at top of driveway.
Video chat with friend who’s in hospital and who can’t have any visitors.Made spag bol for tea and put half the fresh mince in freezer for another meal for two...jings! Thus takes a bit of getting used to!
bathrooms are clean, floors are hoovered and washed.Caught up in last nights I’m a Celeb. I’ve enjoyed it. A nice bunch.Just going to do a quick doggy walk before strictly starts, then bed and do it all again tomorrow!13
