Lovely to hear about chicks landing new jobs and flying nests, hugs to their Mums.
For yesterday,
Did a shop and relatively quiet with plenty of supplies.
Cracking on and getting bathrooms cleaned, hate our shower cubicle with a vengeance so always good when it’s done.
Exercised pony, she was ahem ‘jolly’ with lots of high head, snorting nostrils action, she’s like this now and again but I’ve learnt just to keep calm and yes, carry on!
We’d had our main meal at lunchtime so just fresh bread and cheese for tea.
Fell asleep watching the footie but woke up just as Scotland scored their winning penalty, congrats to pals over the border ⚽️

1 Got the mattress turned, no mean feat with the new one on my own (DH waiting for his op but would still do it, so doing it without him knowing at the mo as he’s frustrated as ever the gent wants to help), jury is still out on if we keep the mattress at the mo. All bedding off, clean on, bedroom and upstairs carpets shampooed, fans on to help drying.
2 Looking forward to a soak tonight.
3 Pork joint, stuffing, AB roasties veg and apple sauce tonight. Tasty, could even smell the lovely smells outside of the house pleased it was us for a change.
4 DH swapped the tyres on the car, a bit of an epic through the house, off with one lot on with the others and others back through the house, but in fairness we can’t go anywhere!
5 I topped up the bird feeders, always a pleasure.
Our dryer which has spent years trying to be kaput, decided today was the day, DH took it apart and declared time based on cost of parts, so we are looking at 2nd hand or half an eye on black Friday deals.

He has Alzheimer’s and she could only see him in his wheelchair with masks on2 m apart and no touching let alone a hug ,it was on Look East and haunts me .
Dh is completely with it so would know what was happening, anyway no way they’d have time to spend 45 min feeding him 2 weetabix !
But we’ve had S***tgate again for the last couple of days and it’s hard .
thank you all of you17 -

Good morning All,
Nargle: Thank you. Just what we need. S Sue: Keep trudging up that hill. &: When people compile lists of the Worlds greatest inventions, I am always surprised Paracetamol is not at the top of the list.......life would be very different without painkillers. 😱
Yesterday
1. I was dreading the call with the Occupational Health, but the lady was lovely......I still cried. ☹️
2. Taxied DD to various jobs, as her bike has a puncture. She is good company when she is in good spirits, so not a chore.
3. Posted 2 Ebay parcels. Collection point is at the Coop, so used my coupons for a bit of shopping.
4. Met a friend in the park for a chat. She has been sent home from work, as year groups have been sent home to isolate, so was unexpectedly available! I took a flask of tea and some posh cookies........proper cups too!5. Stayed up late to watch the last of Queens Gambit....... Taxi duties over, so allowed a glass of wine.Dogs did not care that I went to bed after midnight. I still had to get up before 5am to let them out. 🙄

1. Washing dried on the line or almost dry.
2. Went to community fridge and a very random bag of shopping came home with me.
3. Enjoying a cup of tea in the garden.
4. Eventually got round to at least starting cleaning and de rusting a couple of old fashioned irons which we got from MIL garage.
5. Big news DS1 exchanged contract and completion next Friday. He is very happy and now thinking of all the practical things. He is organized most of the time.15 -
Morning all
Hugs, Suffolk Sue - i can't begin to imagine what you are going through.
Pleasures for Thursday
1. OH went to see MiL so i had a worky day. It felt good to be back reading articles and making notes. I've been a bit adrift without it.
2. Though the above was interspersed with taking the car for its MOT and then fetching it - so two short walks done
3. Yoga - a nice gentle one, though unfortunately i did feel rather sick by the end. All that being upside down occasionally does that to me. it's my sinuses i think
4. Spag bol for tea - i'm not the world's biggest fan of it but this one was delicious
5. Family film night - my choice which was Notting Hill. A nice light film we all enjoyed - it's one of my faves.
And for Friday
1. A looooong zoom meeting with Sister in Law to help her with a project she is working on that my research can help inform
2. A walk to the butchers
3. Made a carrot cake
4. Washed the bedroom curtains and cleaned the inside of the windows - will gradually work my way round the house as these haven't been done in forever.
5. Another family film night - OH's choice, State of Play. the bits i didn't sleep through were good
Decorating today - OH has been resisting since March but, as it's only the conservatory, I'll do it alone if i must.
Have a good day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens14
