Morning . From a soggy Scotland. Got a tad soaked on the very early doggy walk but it was just us so that was fine. No encounters with other doggies.
Yesterday was alright!Decorator came at 8am. I woke at 7.45am having been wide awake through night then did not reset alarm as thought. Anyway quickest shower and hair dry ever then downstairs to open door!So now I have a new feature wall which I have to get used to. It’s very different from what I had before. A busy pattern. ( though of my choosing obviously so do like it it’s just different)
Hung new to me curtains I got in a charity shop a year ago ( the ones my son says I stole as the payment never went through but chap was already on to next customer and I didn’t realise I hadn’t paid until I was home and checked bank account ...though I did pop in the next time and put the money in the collection tin but no this was the time I stole from a charity shop!) Anyway they look fine up ( over patio doors) so I’m glad I kept them as I didn’t like them on the window I’d originally bought them for.Just pottered around once he was away. Moved furniture back in to place. A tweek here and a tweek there. Changed lamps around.Went to other supermarket with DD2 as she was going for petrol. Had something to eat and was horrified at others lack of distancing. Said to the person inching ever closer to stay back...it’s okay said he. It’s not really thought I. Anyway DD2 paid.Went for a reiki session last night. It was quiet cathartic I would say and quite an experience. Glad I went. Shall go again but would need to save up. Back massage is kind of an essential for my wellbeing/ health this would be a treat.Popped in to supermarket on way home and May have bought mince pies. They have been placed up high away from a dog! Just me that likes them.Chat with friend on phone.Son just in from his detestable job so have to be a bit quiet around the house. He finishes after tonight. Hurrah! I’ve hated that he’s hated it so much. Have hoovered already. Just me and my doggy today as DD2 working all day.
Have a good day x13 -
I also saw that news bulletin Sue, tough times for sure, thoughts with you x
For yesterday,
After 3rd rough night in the row woke up with serious sinus pain so yes, paracetamol are definitely one of the world’s greatest inventions.
Changed the bed and, as beloved working from home still, we flipped the mattress. Couldn’t bear the thought of putting hoover on to do the floors so swept the worst bits and ignored the rest.
Oh Eucalyptus Oil how I love thee, head bent over steaming bowl with a towel over, an oldie but a goodie.
Afternoon nap, under blanket with small dog snuggled close.
A CBA tea, big dish of nachos with chilli tomato sauce, black beans, avocado and sweet corn all covered in grated cheese and baked in oven, 4 of our 5 a day and so easy to do.13 -
Lydia's Plaice!
Just from The Ocean across the road where BoP has his pad! Yes it is called The Ocean! Just amazed how god put his shed next to the manor? Lydia did not need a shed!
Moor proper cooking and cheese bakes! And is never two early to buy mince pies. Nan BoP made them with hand rubbed pastry every weak!
Blooming 'eck you lot. Jenny is popping these daily at the moment!Looky no one saw that?
Unfortunately the profanity filter prevents BoP from expressing his thanks to Satan this day, he expressed that his fire was well oiled!
Was watching another flix last nite, The Switch, on the river stream box. Very good little romp. Wobbleades and cheeses were consumed. Had snack supper of duck spring roles! Tasty! No cheese was sprinkled on the roles!
No game for the mariners this day, so Kitty is resting. Her whether thing has been rite off as well the last phew days as well! She is learning. Mind yous, when BoP foods her, she is the only cat we has that manages to control her tail!
Sat watching the cricket, I knews the score, butt always good to gots one over the Ausies. Last nite they had the Agar, who managed once to nearly get a century, but then only played three more tests! Mmmm. Keeps BoP happy!
Well SatDay is ruff hare day as usual for BoP, his skin needs a rest and so he does not shave! Has not done on SatDay since Jannery 1980! That weigh he keeps his complexion without the knead for other things! No wrinkles has bin detected!
Had the normal snorkers and best back this morning! Fryed tatties and mushrooms with poached egg were also served. Proper and rite blooming tasty!
Just as Lydia kept hers oil for the lamp! Keep Safe!Stay away from the ...

Yous C one can learns things with a bit of BoP!
No, really she was one of the safe houses? that the early Christians stayed at. Hence I always call the church, Lydia's Place. Must come from my gran, that always said put a tanner in the collection, and take the half crown. Lydia has enough money to afford it! She was put off from following, when mother BoP at the local school attached to the england church would at festival, give her the rotten fruit as she came from the wrong part of the church, methodist! Hence she took the half crown!12 -
I've always wanted to read the 4 Gospels but every time I pick up the Bible I lose focus. Took me years to realise that ADD plays a part (focus has always been awful) but also the print is so small that I just find it arduous. That has also happened with every Dickens too.
It's the reason why I really like the Reader's Digest novels (not the condensed ones). The print and font suit me. Reading Grapes of Wrath was wonderful. When I am 'in the money' am going to start hunting them down.
Right, carried on with kitchen today. 3 drawers sorted (2 of them junk drawers). Gave Tiggy long walk. It's never enough. The way she carries on you would think I never walk, kiss, cuddle, feed her. She is a minx !
Cooked (for the second time) Chilli Con Carne. Added Cayenne pepper this time. Much better although am not keen on Kidney beans so might use cannelini next time. Enough left for this evening.
Cleared medicine cabinet the other day so took all out of date ones to Boots today.
I don't know what it is but since I started wearing a tabbard a few days ago have become more industrious. Or at least it feels that way.
Happy Evening to all
