Good morning all,
Happycas thank you, that's a lovely thing to say. We do laugh a lot together - it was always my aim to raise him in a happy loving home.
Pleasures for yesterday....
HT went off to school happy.
A carrier bag of Playmobil bits was delivered to the local special needs school. They asked for donations and it was just hanging round in our spare room.
I cleaned upstairs. I've bought a new hoover - it's a Shark duo. The Dyson was starting to fall apart and after 10+ years owed me nothing. I would have repaired it but it was becoming too heavy for me to carry up and down the stairs without knocking my sore leg. I have to empty the small one more often but that's not a problem.
Leftover birthday cake for after dinner
The cat not being bothered about fireworks. I was saying to the HT that when my sister and I were small fireworks were such a treat and we used to rush to the window to watch. There's so many now that I don't even get up from my seat any more when I hear them.
Take care all of you14 -
Good to see you Cranky and sending gentle hugs to SuffolkSue.
For yesterday,
More sunshine, lifts the spirits.
Went to the pet store for dog & bird food, someone came in with their bulldog who was obviously well known to the staff who knew it’s favourite treats.
Got the mini booked in on Monday for its MOT, now all digits crossed that nothing horrendous has been lurking.
Fun in the sun with the beautiful grey one, working well over a grid work of poles, love my pony.
Cauliflower cheese and baked pots for tea.

Hello. Happy birthday to you Pirate Pete
it’s stayed dry today which was nice but blooming chilly now and fire is on.
Nice doggy walk.Had hairdressers...all PPE’d! Bit shorter and a fringe cut back in.( till I grow it out again)
Walked round to the mothers ( first I’ve walked there in months) she was asleep but I did her tablets , hoovered, washed floors and did dishes then quietly let myself out.
came home and power washed the first half of the patio. How satisfying! Will do rest tomorrow. It just got too wet so needed to let water subside.Chatted to sister on phone. We had takeaway for tea which was nice and DD2 paid which was nicer. Then we had to eat ice cream lollies for pud as she’d bought them but the freezers full!I’ve really enjoyed my days off this week. One more to go.13 -
Happy birthday BoP
Pleasures for today
1. More tutorialing - i'm enjoying it
2. Things across the pond are looking promising - but the fat lady ain't singing yet
3. A dog walk with a friend. Glad that's still allowed
4. SiL sent me a newspaper cutting of an accident bestowed on one of OH's family members back in the twenties. Desperately sad but it brought the bare facts to life.
5. Gin and nuts - well it's Friday
Have a good evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
Made a lovely meal. Using cream (double, very naughty) quite a bit recently. All my sauces tend to be tomato based. The change has been welcome and strangely comforting.
Watched one of 'my' foxes go giddy with excitement over the food I put out. For 2 days running I had put meat based food out for them at the crack of dawn only to watch all the different birds choose it over their bird food. Tonight I buttered some brown bread, cut it into chunks and soaked it in some cooked meat juice. I also put out Tiggy's buffalo tripe (dried) along with it. I watched one of my lady foxes pick everything up, put it down, turn in circles on the table, and start all over again for about a minute. I could feel her happiness. She didn't eat but was choosing what to take with her. It's my mummy fox. She was so over the moon that she faltered when choosing her escape route. I can often tell which fox it is by the route they choose to leave. Bliss (for me).
Heard today from my Mum that the testing center for Covid is just down the road from them. Thank you world.
My brother has no concept of time nor money. I am trying to increase his understanding (very tiny weeny steps) but was really pleased that this week he chose to buy a pair of trainers. I had to help because he was going to buy a child's size 9............
All in all, opportunities to increase understanding. Will always be working on this for him. I want him as independent as possible.
Hugs to those in need

Belated happy birthday BoP. Here's to many of them😀
Bala, your patience with crows, foxes and your brother is astounding. I shall think of you when I'm getting impatient, which is often I'm afraid.
A very misty morning here again. It was well after lunchtime yesterday before it lifted.
Another very noisy fireworks night. And I'm guessing it will be the same tonight. I've never been a fan. Too much of a scaredy cat, and too busy worrying about what can go wrong! I don't mind proper organised ones, at a safe distance!
Getting into gear now for lockdown Mk II. I couldn't get motivated at all on Thursday, but did some baking and made a wreath yesterday, so I've stopped sulking!
Sorted out car and house insurance. The cheapest I could find, in both cases, was less than £10 cheaper than the current ones, so we're staying where we are this year
Happy Season of Mists day everyone

Belated birthday wishes BOP.
For yesterday,
Out to the farm shop for fresh bits and pieces then dropped into village on way home for eggs as will be making THE a cake over the w/e.
Another sunny day, took the mad spaniel for a trek around the fields then played tennis balls in the garden, she will only relinquish one if there is a replacement to be thrown.
Saw my girlie, no work today just a good groom in her stable then she dozed whilst I sat on my grooming box and stitched up a neck cover. Nice chat with yard owner, looks like common sense may have prevailed with PTB and she will be able to do some one to one lessons with the children.Beautiful but deadly, our resident sparrow hawk took one of the small birds out of the hedge ☹️Cracked open a beer and enjoyed a paella, hello weekend.11 -
Recent pleasures:
nice walk round one side of the lake and back down the tow path - misty but lovely as usual. Pleased with myself as my back has been painful 😖
Walked into town yesterday, bit of a struggle but did it!
Market had 4 stalls so bought my first navel oranges 🍊 of the year and some jelly sweets from the goodies stall!
then to the butchers for some proper sausages as I really fancied sausage and mash for dinner!
Said sausages for dinner with sweet potato, potato and leek mash and onion gravy - delicious 🤤
Fruit 🍇 salad with ff Greek yogurt and honey for pud 😊
Have a good weekend all 😘
Forgot to say - beautiful sky yesterday morning with loads of cotton wool puff clouds - wonderful 😊11
