Biiiig day, but still wide awake - and loving hearing Mr Piano.
As for several ospers, unsure whether surgery will go ahead next week. & best ring Mr G's receptionist in a few hours.
On something like edge re: toxic orange election chances. In touch with several super bright young academics/LP members who read psephology runes. Praying💙.
Our world, this planet and democracy are at real risk.

1. Last in person service on Sunday. HC. Strange feeling, but beautiful resounding organ music from vicar's husband to close. Something of a final concert.
2. &'s Ancient Person heating allowance letter. Not in a/c yet, but en route. Always a good surprise.
3. Still loving this Kapo and what it preceded:-)https://youtu.be/WB8mmfMn74w
43-5, biggest ABs victory over Strylia for 117years:-)
4. On to rugby club with what I believe each time to be final teatowels, only to find more have bred. And so it was again. Good Ladies' match - and we still don't know how things will play out at present. No functions, bar, food or indoor presence, but training?....
5. Triffids harvested. Necessary. Done. The yellows and the oranges can be eaten now. They're as ready as they'll ever be. Green tomato chutney etc for the rest. Beans can come out, too.
6. Dark washing out and safely in despite a few sporadic downpours during & all-day absence. Fenny landscapes mean rain theatre in the round, seen from afar, drifting and cascading in grey falls against a blue sky.
7. Last task was surgery/prescription. Saw Venus and moon rising en route. Another 'Stars twinkle, planets don't' truth proof:-) Venus is always beautiful, low, at this time of year. When r was alive, yard arm hour meant the Little Brown Bird in hefty crystal tumblers out on the balcony over The Cut, watching both, as we played crib before dinner.
8 Agree re: 'Nixon in China', bop. No idea why your 'Not for &' opinion appeared. (Whispers to KittyHP, 'Memory loss?') Post passim, this ospers thread, March, Edinburgh, & flew up to Scottish Opera's amazing staging. Just fantastic. Next day, back to Fenland, then another plane to Marseille and oldest Northern hemisphere friend's 75th. France locked down the next day. & was on last Marignane>Stansted flight back.
We all know what happened next - and still is, because of incompetence, stupidity and corrupt govt greed here.

On which note.....kittyHP surely recommends Simon's cat, pure joy.

Beautiful music, thank you for sharing DD.
For yesterday,
Braved the emporium for usual shop, not too bad although one slight altercation with type who was tutting and humphing about an elderly couple who dared to be shopping together. So frail that the trolley seemed to be holding the both of them up. As I pointed out to her, she too will be old one day, where is the compassion?Russet apple with my sandwich at lunch.
Bright and breezy afternoon after a rainy morning, nice to see blue sky.Feeling better for seeing equine girlie, my mind stills and I just am, so needed in these crazy times.
Early night with my book.13 -

Now after that, BoP fed Kitty her special mix of food and she understands what good food does taste like and was happy for her mix! Kitty has her flap training tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Don't know blackbeard. They seem happy enough so fingers crossed. Anyway, they kind of know me as every year I stop to compliment the wife on her marvelous display of colours and textures. I always thank her as she brings such cheer to the road. Even the flower pots are all different colours so the joy continues all year.
The ironic thing is that a few days before the accident I stopped to chat with her husband who was rubbing car medication into a bump on the beautiful backside of the car. Hit and run. (Blighters!). Can you imagine how awful I felt when I had to knock on their door to report his broken wing mirror. Mortified.
Anyway, think everything is sorted. We are on first name terms now and he has my mobile number so he can contact me anytime.

Hello. Blooming chilly here. We had a brief spell of dry in the afternoon for a couple of hours then back to rain.Hello day off! Rubbish sleep and a look at the watch ...5am that’ll do me!Mums birthday today, a big one and a request for meringues to be made, so made them first thing.Had back massage, ooh aah ouch! But always with an hour of chatter so it passes.Home and quick chat to friend on phone. She’s a bit like me...text, text, text, text oh do you know what let’s just talk it’s easier!Nipped into supermarket for flowers from DD1 for her granny and a tin of sweets from my auntie. Ah well I suppose I get the store points .The mother was fairly amenable though had a few complaints so all was normal. We had a strawberry tart each .Home and hello doggy come on let’s walk. So we did and it was dry ( though certainly not underfoot)
Window cleaner came.
Stripped the wallpaper off living room wall. Came off very easily. Hoping I’ve not done it too soon in case we go into lockdown and I can’t get decorator in. Pah! We’ll see. It’s done.Swept up leaves and moss and plant pot soil that and been blown over in wind at weekend.11
