Good afternoon
Bit dull here today
Lately
DH went to sit in his friend's garden last night and set the world to rights. Too cold for me so I had a very rare evening alone. Lazed about, watched a film then bed and book. All very chilled.
Market today. Lots of excellent fruit and veg, then one of everything at the butcher's - well, that's what it felt like! Should keep us going a little while though in case there's something worse than tier 3 lurking in store for us.
Really bad traffic on the way home so took a detour. Just so happened we went past out favourite fish and chip restaurant. So we didn't go past. We went in for lunch, and very nice it was too.
Trying to cut out dairy to see if it helps with nasal polyps/ rhinitis. Gosh, I eat a lot of dairy products! Perhaps that shows I need to look carefully at it. Worth a try anyway.
Happy afternoon everyone

Things a little tough in my corner this week, but not as tough as many.
However, walking Tiggy this morning I had to stop twice to stare at a tree. (I am a tree starer as well as a hugger........tee-hee). The sun was shinning brightly on both of them. One was gold and red the other lemony limey green. Really really beautiful.
Hugs to all that need them...........

Hello. Sat nearby the fire. So chilly here tonight. After a very rainy started it actually brightened in to a beautiful day. So washing was hung out and almost dry.Lovely long walk with doggy this morning. So many trees and shrubs just absolutely stunning. Made the dog sit on the wet grass to take pictures! Then a nice walk down to postbox later and it was still lovely.
went to supermarket as mum needed stuff . Saw big boxes of shortbread still with a May 2021 date on them reduced to clear at 75p so bought a few and put some in food bank and gave mum one and kept one for us.
In to hers and did tablets and washed floor, hoovered, tidied where I can in kitchen and emptied bins.Home. Hello doggy. It really wasn’t that long and you had two other people here!Wrote a letter to DD1 which was posted .
Niece called in to get a chest of drawers that have been sat downstairs for a week getting in my way! What a palaver trying to get it in her car but we finally did. As it lashed with rain but there was a pretty rainbow. Anyway it’s out my house!Lovely gammon joint for dinner with roast potatoes (leftover from my work) cauliflower, carrots and peas. Made enough cheese sauce for me!Nice chat with friend on phone.13 -
Caught up with GBBO.
Ordered a blind to replace the one I originally chose that was in fact discontinued ... Managed to find a cheaper one so have saved a bit of money. (Obv would be cheaper not to have it at all but have been waiting 3 years for it and finally the time has come!!!)
Had a horrible headache but the pleasure bit is that it has gone now after a couple of cocodamol and a sleep. It is so lovely when a headache goes away!!!! Feel like a new person!
Daughter took dog for her walk today so I had peace and quiet, very grateful for that.
Cuddles with my cat who is just so gorgeous and furry with her winter coat coming. Pony (who is a Welsh boy) is also lovely and furry too. Just love burying my face in their coats!!!

1 Dropped our Nestle off to be neutered in the early morning, all pre-paid for, and they popped in a microchip while he was under also, he’s now safe and sound recovering at home.
2 I got home and cleaned up all the animal bedding to make sure he comes back to clean things.
3 Cleaned the 3 welsh dressers, we need to move one on for space at some point soon. We also need less nick naks, easier said than done I know. I’ve been avoiding cleaning them for ages, so definitely a pleasure they are all done now.
4 Food planned today it was a grilled bacon sarnie for lunch, and breaded fish with turmeric rice and veg tonight
5 Took out a great deal with our internet providers and I have to be honest thoroughly expected them to renege or muck it up, but it’s all gone through set up and a pleasant surprise. Things are tight for everyone, so didn’t want an unexpectedly large payment going through.
6 The in laws kindly gave us some Cumberland sausages last time we visited, from their butchers, I was hoping we wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, but wow, they are far superior to anything store bought. Which kind of leaves us in a quandary as we live in an area that doesn’t believe in affordable butchers. I have just tracked down a recommended butcher a few towns over that delivers. Might have to be done.

After I posted earlier I got 2 pieces of great news.
My Mother and I represented my LD brother at a tribunal beginning of the week. All done by phone. Has been hanging over us for 10 months. I couldn't sleep before and funnily enough have still been unsettled all week. We won.
My Uncle rushed back into hospital, heart rate all over the place. He was in intensive care. Released today. Thank you Cyprus NHS.
Relief, relief, relief...............

1) congratulations email from uni secretary and VPE phoned to congratulate me - still no idea of start date
2) 2pm walked dd2 half way to the gym, walking home and met pub friend who was headed to mennies for a coffee (no alcohol allowed at the mo in pubs in dundee) so did a 180 degree turn
3) then his bubble friend arrived so we were allowed to sit at one table (one is grateful for these small things in these strange times). stayed a good hour then home to emails
4) switched fuel (bop i can see you being very happy i finally got round to it) then switched back cos amazingly my original company could suddenly charge me even less

1. Good news about neighbour who is doing well in hospital. The support given to them by most of the other neighbours. It is , all bar one house, a lovely close community.
2. A laugh about escaping chickens- thankfully not mine.
3. Christmas cakes cooked. Made 3 as both sons wanted one of they had moved out by then. There has been hassled all along.
4. Spent some time in the garden . It was sunny then showers. Planted bulbs, weeded and sowed a few seeds in the greenhouse when it was raining.
5. Went out with friends. Had a lovely evening and good catch up with them.12
