Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Went to Ludlow with bigger son so he could bike around (bike rack on the back of the car JUST went through the archway!) I did the charity shops and got 3 nice tops and a jumper.
4) Went up the top of Clee Hill afterwards (so bigger son could mountain bike down, in the fog).
5) Next door's house has sold and, after 60 years with them as the only owner (then dad), my grandparents' house has also sold. The estate agents have been awful, even down to taking dreadful poor quality photos, so it has been quite stressful for dad.
6) Bigger son did a big curry for tea.

Wonderful congratulations, DD. My word! - I'm thinking this must be the 4th big promotion you've been successful in, in recent years?:-) Your work dedication and care for your students has always shone through.

Congratumalations, DD - fantastic news.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A drive into the peak district. DS drove and i sat in the front (OH was in the back) so DS and I had a good old chat..
2. A 10.5 mile walk around some dales - beautiful autumnal colours and we didn't get wet!
3. Lunch in a pub - very nice with stunning views and good beer. Wish they'd lit the fire but you can't have everything.
4. Home to not having to cook tea due to pub lunch and DD was playing dungeons and dragons. A bit of cheese and bics and a glass of red in front of the woodburner
5. Watched ambulance - stunning programme.
Have a great day all - OH and DS were up at 5 and have hared off to the Isle of Wight. Madness!
I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
Many congratulations DD, some very welcome happy news.
RIP Simon Dobbin, fellow U’s supporter, cruelly taken too soon.
For yesterday,
Foul day weather wise so busy in house.
Even in the dark, gloomy rain the shining brightness of the trees across the field, so many oranges & reds.
A pot of Earl Grey and an old black & white film, perfect two hours.
Fancied something rib sticking for tea so Toad in the Hole it was.
Watched Ambulance, tough viewing at times yet life affirming as well.
