Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Green Grant man arrived just after 9 and had a look round. He will be sending me a quote for an air source heat pump with radiators. He said, "What do you use for heating at the moment?" and I gestured to the wood burning stove. He said, "Yes, but what about the rest of the house?" Again, a gesture to the stove! I did show him the damp coming through the front wall (low down) and the different varieties of mould upstairs. He thought I boil a kettle to do the washing up because I "don't use much hot water". No, chap, I don't heat the water because I can't afford to... Anyway, we shall see what the quotation is like.
3) Did a few Prolific surveys.
4) My aunty has been moved from massive Black Country hospital to smaller hospital and is improving.
5) Hens OK.
6) Had a diversion before meeting my friend (actually, several diversions as all of floody city's roads are being dug up simultaneously) and went to Pershore. More charity shops and got a Superdry hoodie for bigger son (for £4!) which he has worn ever since, another hoodie for smaller son, a long sleeved t shirt for bigger son and some trousers for me.
7) Met my school friend for a cup of tea.
8) An afternoon of baking including a puff pastry big pasty (with peas and gravy) then a pumpkin pie, though this was made with a butternut squash from my brother.
In bed with 1 hwb as bigger son has a day of work tomorrow and we have to be in Solihull (miles and miles away) by 5.30.

1. Sorted out some clothes of DS1 with his help and went to clothes bank with the stuff that can't be sold. Two big bags have left the house which is good.
2. Met a friend for lunch. Great to catch up with her. Lunch was good and it was a small local pub we are at.
3. Enjoyed some time weeding in the garden.
4. Long phone call with my parents. They are ok and went into local town to do lots of little jobs that needed sorting. They are preparing for another lockdown which they may impose on themselces.
5. Chat with neighbours.
Heard that someone up the road was rushed to hospital and had to have emergency surgery but are out of surgery and doing as well as can be expected.13 -
Morning all - least, i think it's morning, it's so dark it's hard to tell.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Walked into town and back with DD - she went to get her phone upgraded and i went to get a new watchstrap. Stoopid HSamuel rules meant they wouldn't change the strap because of "the Covid" - not aware that it is spread via watch strap! Nice walking and chatting with DD though.
2. wrote a lecture from scratch - i rarely do that these days and quite enjoyed having the blank canvas to do so.
3. an hour of yoga - a gentle relaxing one
4. dinner was student night (which is pretty much sort yourself) for DD and Me (OH and DS were out for the day). I had leftovers (my favourite meal!) from the freezer
5. Watched an episode of Wallander - it passed me by first time round
Have a great day allI wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
Keeping you & yours in my thoughts SuffolkSue.For yesterday,
Didnt sleep very well so that very welcome first cuppa of the day.
Supposed to be a dry & sunny day but bucketing down when I went over the yard, pleasure was five minutes before I started to ride the sky cleared and the sun came out.
Swept out the shed and pumped up my bike tyres, have gotten out of the habit of cycling into the village.
Long chat with my bf, due to obvious reasons we’ve hardly seen each other this year but we always have such a giggle together.
Nothing much on the old haunted fish tank so a few games of Yahtzee.12 -
